If you read the post at all you would see I was responding to his comment about this game not being grindy at all. Telling him it was grindy, that was my point…don’t know what you’re trying to say here…

It would be funny if they just kept the exp rate low then introduced exp booster cash shop items. Low EXP rate games are often accompanied with exp booster cash items not to mention bots and hackers but that’s a different topic. Then the people who wanted low exp rates can move on to complaining about how the game is P2W and the ā€œfilthy casualsā€ who have jobs can enjoy the game with boosted exp rates while the hardcore grinders can spend their 12 hours a day doing what they love most.

You do realize, if they implement exp boosters it’d prolly be ā€œ10%ā€ exp boost or something minimal right? Max of 50%. Still, you’ll have to grind your ass off if you want to achieve something

then the game ends up like archeage and everybody quits. casuals and hardcores. gg

lol keep up the delusion that hard core mean anything but you got more time than other people and that your something better. You are the types that ruins mmorpgs.

Thanks for your input super and i’m still looking the same thing yeah i… was straight with my post… because i’m Highly aware that there aren’t factual data around that debunks the exp rate being detrimental to the game in any way… i don’t try to disregard other people’s opinions… but the problem is that most of these ā€œopinionsā€ don’t 've any sort of backbone… and i believe the discussion shouldn’t be the rates at all it should be the content and how to make it more worthwhile… instead of just being a one time thing in every map and other stuff which slows down the ingame progress like bosses which are a waste of time… The game is great but it really has it’s problems and Exp rate isn’t one.

erm The game doesn’t feel as grindy once you optimize your playstyle… but meh why bother…

The game won’t ā€œfeel grindyā€ if you do anything but ā€œgrindingā€ - tell me what else you could do other than grinding? Either you grind for your Main Level to improve aka Killing Hundred Thousends of Monsters to get into the higher Levels and maybe stop the grind to do things like PvP or (possible?) Mini Games - or you Grind Quests over and over wich also may include Grinding the same Mobs over and over.

If you claim ā€œThe game doesn feel as grindyā€ you clearly missed the meaning of the term ā€œgrindā€ after all. And again you probably never tried Ragnarok - where you grind your entire ā€œGaming Lifeā€ if it’s creating new Charakters to grind to the Max or Grinding MvPs - all you do is grinding. Even if you only do PvP you are grinding the PvP Spots. As simple as that xD

So let us all know how we could optimize our playstyle so it doesn’t feel as grindy anymore? Oh yes unless the Ragnarok fans among us turn into your so called ā€œCasualsā€ and only play like 1 hour per day. That might be the solution you are aiming for,

The only thing you achieved with this comment is an attempt to troll on the previous one and showing that you got no idea about the term of ā€œgrindingā€.

better to not accommodate for casual player, it will just lead to premature death of game, better to make game challenging with good rewards for hardwork

I mean I’ll be honest, I really don’t get this thread. Having played MMO’s for years I’ll straight up say you have to be quite delusional to think grinding is ā€œhardcoreā€ and that doing repetitive mundane tasks for longer periods of time than other people make you better than them. It’s one of the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard and disregarding the feedback of other people because a minority managed to spend over 100 hours in a 150 hour beta seems a little silly(though to be fair beta testers are expected to do mundane tasks over and over to ensure there are no bugs).

Hello, i am part of those so called ā€œwhalesā€.

I will have to work for 8 hrs per day so i will have less play time.
I will compensate it by dropping $$ on this game though so i can just power trip and get BiS gears asap, that means lesser stuff to worry about other than levelling itself.

Although i have no plans yet when it comes to levelling up. I am just after socialization and PVP anyway.

Us ā€œwhalesā€ go by the saying:

Money can be earned back easy, while time spent mindlessly grinding isn’t.
We just simply value time since we have to manage our schedule : >

We, the whales, are the ones that will keep the game alive.

–
ā€œHardcoresā€ can be whales too but it’s very situational. They must be the luckiest players on earth making $$ and at the same time, spending 12~16 hrs on a game per day.

Work is not 24 hours long if u arent from Japan… Okay thats bullshit but people always have time to play some games in a day and what’s wrong if u you stay behind from players that spend more time in the game? There nothing to hurry…

I dont have a problem with the xp rates
All i want is more stuff to do that can give you xp, so i dont have to run around the edges of the map killing the same godamn mobs as they spawn for 6 hours to get one lvl, grinding isnt fun, it isnt hard, its boring, thats all.

Nah your misunderstanding a bit. For starters, level 100 is literally nothing in ToS, it’s the tip of the iceberg and people should care more about the pacing and EXP scaling(and leveling areas) than mob rates. If someone wants to lose sleep to get ahead or simply has more time to play the game, I can’t complain.

People(not you) just love to ignore context and not put things into perspective when discussing this kinda stuff because they all want the game to be tailor made for them rather than a general audience to ensure the game even stays alive for more than 3 years.

It’s the tale of the selfish little ducks all over again. The posts of the people defending the rates can be basically translated to ā€œmemememememememememememememeā€.
Talking about ā€œour gameā€, ā€œhardcoreā€ and ā€œcasualsā€, refusing other’s opinions or simply downgrading them, it’s insale disrespectful and, most important, delusional.
A game is not played by either casuals or hardcore players, so stop trying to make ToS into some sort of chauvinistic field club where only the ā€œeliteā€ (people with more time) should be allowed.

The topic starter is probably just a player who dislikes whales/casuals so much and is aware that his only advantage towards them is his eternal ā€œfree timeā€.
