From my understanding it will give you 100% of your Blessed Gems back as compensation. The 90% is referring to extracting them, like using the Hammer of Dismantlement.

That’s a valid point.

The whole skill/stat/gear revamp will defintely render many current gear choices (and with that gems, especially monster ones) not appropriate for after rebalance patch choices. Makes sense if we’d get gems back so we can choose again where to socket them.

So, are we getting our socketed gems back after the upate (especially monster ones)?

He’s pretty much referring to RO2, magic skills from (Wizard/Sorc) can be dodged by evasion but magic can crit as well as some DoTs.
But that’s a totally different system, where warriors with full INT + battle tactics could 1 shot players for a million when their HP would barely reach 100k. War of Emperium on RO2 was broken AF, controlled by speed-hackers, cheat-engine and RMTers. This is kind of off-topic though.

That only if the pet ever feels like not being afk, broke or potato lol
But most of clerics with Ein Sof are serious tanks
Also saw a full tank pvp Wizard that was amazing, Full INT (or close to it)
WIZ 3 > THA 3 > RUNE > SAGE
The Transpose makes u insanely tanky + Rune of Giants working with Wiz 3 skills will make u the tankiest of the tankiest + anti projectile Sage skill = ultimate badass

Hi IMC staff! My suggestion is how about also putting a number rank beside the character’s name based on the “Adventure Index”? I only saw number ranks for the TBL players, maybe you can also put those numbers for the adventurers as well - like for the Top 100 Adventurers. It’s also difficult the achieve those ranking you know. Maybe a badge with a green/blue icon etc. instead of red for TBL players.

If they will implement transcendance blessed gems retrieval, some might do the following.
Use of 1 blessed gem per stage up to stage4-5
If this will be compensated the rules is equivalent of 100 percent transcendance? Those who did transcendance to stage5 and only used a couple of gems how much of gems will be retrieved? Is it the 100% to stage or the amount of blessed gem used to get to that certain stage?

I hope there is some explanation how will they make it of 100% might as well transcend till stage 3-4 with one gem. Then wait for compensation. See how much will they return.

I would like to know that as well since I’m not using shards/gems at the moment because they might cripple some builds/equip, but if they give 100% back regardless of how many gems were used, I could waste some now :grin:

I think its difficult for them to pin down one by one who used 100% or lesser. In this case they might return it as per stage of equivalent.

The game already tracks it like it does with extracting, they most likely will use that.

Well, the game tracked the class level and % too, but they weren’t able to provide them back properly during rank reset event.
Since they’ll give back all the transcendence material converted into the new one, it might be worth a shot.

They were able if they coded that and it wouldn’t be hard. The main problem in my opinion could be on how to level the character to an exact point/% exp and they would have to come up with an entire solution just for that because rank differences, you couldn’t give the exp all at once. And I honestly think it wasn’t worth the effort at the time if we assume they were low on people.

Now that they’re changing stuff and this, I honestly can see that they’re trying to do it the right way. It’s a good sign, at least for me.

On the other hand, returning Transcendence works with simple and plain integers (count of shards) that are saved right in the weapon data (that’s why you couldn’t shout Transcended gear because 150 bytes limit). They can even do it automatically without a problem.

They chose not either because they didn’t invest the time, or some other reason, that has changed for the upcoming update anyway. They already track the exact information.

If you mean using less than 100% Blessed Gems you won’t get back the ones you fail.

I know it would have been a trivial change, but they were lazy enough to deploy an half-assed, buggy, solution.
It’s a good sign that they acknowledged the mistake and they are trying to do it the right way this time, still, given their past and recent fiasco, I don’t expect that patch to be bugless.

I wouldn’t call it just lazy. Just that if they wanted to give a fast rank reset to players within a deadline (assuming small time frame from decision->implementation for kToS rank reset release) while as well coding other things with too few people…

(Also, was it buggy? I can’t recall any but comes to mind that it seems some didn’t receive Rank 9 cards, but I’m not sure if that really happened or it was people who did it wrong.)

But I’m not the one to say since I know no details.
