PK System for TOS?

if its for that then +1 . As long as there’s no real advantages on playing on the PK Channel, like having higher exp rates.

if the channel is plain PK Channel then i support the idea .

If only “making friends” actually secured a grinding spot.

If some other full party is already in that spot, the only option your party has is to sit there and ruin their grinding while getting half yourself or finding another spot entirely (which are in very short supply).

Anyway there’s more to it than just securing grind spots by force.

your reasons for not wanting a pk channel are really dumb … sorry to say that … but it makes absolutely no sense … “having a pvp room is enough” , “some of the skills in this game are much too insane” < and this is a reason for not adding pk ?

@Flamey I would gladly just take a PK channel with no restriction, but I know some people would complain even when it’s a completely optional feature.

@Callisto It’s a different channel, not a global PK system. Everyone is free to not participate in it.

no one cares if the pk guys fight people with their level or not … if you don’t want to be killed at a low level … just don’t click the PK channel

@mikhaze03 No probs. I’m glad people aren’t against the idea because it would make me and a lot of people happy.

if griefing low level players doesn’t give you points or anything … then who cares let them grief all they want … and if the low level players don’t like it then they should just leave the channel … no reason to make it complicated

I’m trying to figure out what is that fun about the PK channel when the 600lvl player can completely repeatedly solo wipe 1 - 300 lvl people in newbie zones. I thought you have some leads to make the PK fun for majority who joins the channel.

@Flamey I believe that goes against the very idea of a PK channel where everyone is free to do what they want. That’s the fun of it, it’s simple, really.

I personally look forward to leveling with the risk of getting killed at any time. It just makes it a lot more exciting to me. You don’t need to understand why we like it, we just do.

Alright, I’ll at least admit to making a mistake here. PK channels might actually be more worthwhile than PK servers, and it looks to be a sound idea to implement in this case.

@proxy_mctemporary Just to make it clear, I don’t disagree with the idea of PK servers, just that I don’t know how I feel about dividing the playerbase. Seems risky to me.

So basically you would only enable player killing with no other aditional systems. That doesn’t seem like interesting nor elaborated idea and I’ve lost interest in this thread.

On the other hand to be fair, I understand that it could satisfy some kind of people who are not for competetive PvP but they love to PK lowbies.

it’s up to whoever is playing … if you don’t find killing newbies fun then just go to the endgame maps and PK there instead … i’m not saying i find that fun … i don’t . but it’s really the low level player’s fault for going into a pk channel … and if people really are against that … then they can just limit pk maps for certain levels … instead of just removing the system just because of a small fixable issue.

there is gonna be those guys who PK newbies … and there is gonna be those guys who PK to secure a field boss kill … easy as that … not everyone falls into the first bracket.

tbh that’s his personal opinions. Likely system that would be implemented would be safe zones in places such as statues and 20 second invincibility when entering zones and changing channels. Respawns with icoin will likely be disabled. Players can only attack ohter players with in 15 levels of there own to stop level 600 from 1 shotting everyone. And many other pre-existing systems from other mmo’s with pvp open world servers will likey be implemented aswell. This isn’t a new issue, pvp servers have been around since mmo’s began the only difference here is it would be a channel and not a separate server. Thus not splitting the community in 2. How in the world are you in disagreement with this?

They either didn’t play any PK game or they had the worst luck.

No idea if it was said before but something like shaiya with a few level restricted pvp maps would work too.

I would like it if there was some way to make it at least somewhat fair. But look at the discrepancy between classes, and the massive amount of level differences between most players.

Just a small, very over-the-top example, Oracle has a skill that can instantly kill someone after a time limit. What do you do about something like that?

There aren’t even cards to see invisible people like in RO, and as far as I know not too many skills to make up for that.

Basically, what I’m getting at is that PK would be very, VERY wacky, even if confined to a channel. And yes, I realize you said channel. Lol.

@Callisto I see what you mean but we simply don’t mind how unfair the balance is. In my opinion that only makes it funner because of how ridiculous fights would be. It’s not like we are losing anything (well, outside of gems and equipment durability), when we get tired of that we can just change back to a normal channel.
