I dunno if anyone has ever talked about this and I don’t even know if this is a good idea or not but, wouldn’t it be really cool if once our character dies it’s permanent and be forced to restart from the beginning again? It will definitely improve party play in my opinion…

For a MMORPG I think this is pretty painful and unecessary XD. For survival games this is more the cup of tea. Since it’s about surviving and not making friends.
Unless you wanna go Chuck Lee(Norris+Bruce), and kill everything, even in PvP. Would be funny to die, lose your hardworked character,cry quit+unistall tho
Play mostly hardcore characters in Diablo and PoE; I’d feel right at home with this being an available option. Tho I believe if it was to exist it must be completely optional and clearly stated.
Go the shaiya and most likely many other mmorpg route and make it optional. Maybe you will get better drop rates and a bit more exp in exchange for it, but once dead and you won’t be revived by another player or a cash shop item, maybe, the char will be deleted

Permanent death is a nono lol maybe they could do something like a character lockdown for a couple of hours if died too much as punishment but a restart is a nono lol
I want a game like that as well. Though I just don’t see it happening.
It’d be cool to have a feature like this in a game up until you complete the main story. Then after that point you could die and nothing would happen other than the normal death penalties.
Would love to see this as an option if it has some risk/rewards attached to it. Like you gain more experience drops and silver also can’t trade with none hardcore characters.

It worked in diablo, so I don’t see why it shouldn’t work here.

all jokes aside, this feature is gonna pissed many players and even developers will need to redo their work if they see many people leave the game. In fact, there’s already one feature that others are getting QQ already when they died, loss of gems. So please, no more like this feature. 
I wouldn’t mind; being a Diablo and Path of Exile player this would be great. But as @dironox stated, this has to be an optional thing with a warning stating as such.
I’d definitely like the option to create a HC character.
I think the only times I died in the beta were lag related. Sometimes there were server issues, sometimes it was chronic FPS drop when fighting a field boss. Actually with Unlocker I did die twice because I couldn’t figure out what was one shotting me XD (I ended up thinking it was probably an invisible mine trap, In my defence I was 11 levels below him =P)
But besides Unlocker… It would have been totally unfair to have to restart my character due to all those other issues that were outside my control. So I don’t think there is any fair way to do a system likt this.
