"People that didn't report a single bug will not be in the next beta."

Then tell me why on earth did they create a “Beta Test Feedback” section and asked us numerous times for feedback?

I agree! Even them players who only tested builds managed to help, however indirectly. See patch nerfs…

That’s what the “like” button on those post is for. That said, it would be a mess if they go for this type of “selection”. They’d have to track everyone’s likes an sort out if those were on a bug report post. And it’s not clear they liked the post to confirm the bug, or just because they liked someone found that one.

In short, it’s definitely not happening.

Did you forget OBT ?
The sun is outside.

I do agree person who are in beta should report bug if they found one but this idea is too extreme and unreasonable. It’s not just to find bug, Some test is also include stress test.

Bug reports are important but feedback from player who testing also help a lot.
Unless there’s an agreement when gonna give out key which require bug report for all tester who join beta.

What is this quote even coming from?

I’d have to agree to an extent - though people who also gave feedback/suggestions and participate in the current survey going on should also be included in the next beta.

If someone didn’t report bugs, didn’t help with translations, didn’t take part in the survey, didn’t give feedback/suggestions… then they’re not really being helpful.

The only bug i ever even came across was a “Warp menu” bug. The game-play in generally felt very polished.

I do however believe the Chat menu functionality could have been more then it was in that Test weekend, as it felt awkward at times and out-of-place-- like a Mobile chat application rather then a full-fledged social UI.

As for what to think about future access to other testing phases based on Bug-reporting; well, i don’t know- honestly that Bug report widget was pretty limiting; and it was difficult to be descriptive due to a “character-limit”-- which i found silly.

Now do we need to discuss about this? Then lets disconsider the ppl who posted a bug that was already reported and take them out too, in the end, there will be like what? 200 or less ppl with rights to access the next CBT?

FatePGN already said.

CBTs aren’t only for bug reports. And although we see feedback from ppl who have never played this game, I believe the feedback of ppl who actually played can change a lot in the final version.

From small things like the UI to big like implementation of new mechanics.

I would say that players that don’t play the Beta or just play it a few minutes and then stop (Didn’t like the game or were just using it to push their viewers in Twitch.tv) should be the people that should be taken away their opportunities to play.

The reason is that first of all some people might not understand when something is not working as intended or in other words “A bug”. Some bugs are obvious and easy to see and report, but some are not as common or as easy to detect.

Also the more players you have testing the more you can test the stability of the servers, maybe something in the translation deparment didn’t make much sense, or maybe there’s a zone/map that drops your fps. The more players you have the more likely you will find bugs but at the same time the more likely you can detect things that even thou are not “Broken” are not working as they should (Example could be broken classes or doing too much damage, some classes early game been horrible, etc).

All in all betas are meant to test multiple things and rarely are there for you to “Find the bugs”, that’s why we have Alphas. More than not Betas are use to test server stability, to see how people react to lets say to the ingame store and prices, etc. As a beta tester there are way more things for you to test and report than just bugs (Exploits sometimes are as bad or even worse than bugs)

I vote no.

Not everyone will encounter a bug during their play, either they did not visually catch it or it just didn’t happen during their playtime.

Betas aren’t all about bugs (but that is very important). Betas are also there for feedback.

If something like this was implimented, I would suggest “Everyone who contributed feedback in some form would have a higher chance of getting the next key.”

Too many people think betas are for playing for fun. (I do, but I also try to contribute to improve the game.)

I reported 1 bug I think, if you got frozen by the ghosts and then died and resurrected, your character’s player model would be entirely frozen but you could still move around and play normally until the next time you were killed, I couldn’t repeat it though

I don’t really have a problem with this, but they’d need to count both the ingame bug reporting and forum bug reports. They gave us the forum bug reporting section for a reason if they only wanted us to use in game reporting they should have said so.

On the other hand, I do understand that the players who came in the second wave of key handouts didn’t have much time to play and many of the bugs would have already been reported. But those who had a whole week to play really should have found at least one bug, there were many.

I reported some bugs but I don’t think this would be fair and I don’t think IMC would do it like this. It’s not even reliable maybe I found some bugs now but won’t next time and who didn’t find this time would find next time…

though i had a beta key unfortunately i haven’t played the game due to internet limitations … so i have not met bugs, rather frustrating internet connection ( steam for me is slow)… though i directly share my toughts on the matter to Mr.Marikim @_@\ if i get a 2nd iCBT key, i hope they just gonna patch it rather than another client dload =3=’" (it took me 13 days to finish my dload of the client).

also, some bugs are already report by the people and redundancy of bug reports can cause confusion to IMC team.

Is this person just trolling with this quote anyways? I still haven’t seen a link to the source of this quote, did it even come from IMCGames?

Unless they release more beta keys and is a “new game” version on steam and you have to download it once again, it is not confirmed which way is going to work…i believe they will keep the same users who installed the game but who knows…
