That wouldn’t make much sense though. There is no need to launch a “new game” every beta. All they have to do is a patch and reopen the server.
A big part of CBT is stress testing and in that sense somebody that played for the whole 7 days and never reported a bug may have helped more then somebody who played the game 5 hours and reported 2-3 issues they ran into.
This seems a bit unfair to me. I’m not in the beta so w/e, but on other games that are apparently very buggy, Witcher 3 for example, I’ve experienced maybe 1-2 bugs at most.
Some people get ridden with bugs, others not so much. I apparently have good luck at getting very few bugs in more modern games. However in some older PC games I had terrible luck.
Fair enough. But no.
I reported a few bugs and suggested a few things.
But not everyone “has to”.
So the criteria shouldn’t be that.
People can be in the beta just to play and try it out as they want.
That way people will get to know the game, talk to friends about it, and make it grow.
No problem at all.
There weren’t that many bugs to begin with, mostly text errors.
I only thing i reported was about when I couldn’t play
the game till like 7 hours after the launch. Constant delay and d/c.
I have like 45 hours on the game and only broken thing I saw was
text errors. Which I saw pointless to report since there were numerous
of post about it already.
as nyuha said ( i dont know/too lazy/too tired on how to quote his/her statement), the iCBT is more on for server test to see how the servers will stretch to hold thousands of players at a time (the extra 4k keys confirms this) until the server crashed. probably to solve ping also?

Coccaine with fries?
They should be in the next beta.
The people who shouldn’t are the ones who create an account and only post " I want a key" or the person who speaks 4% English “Give key me I want to beta”.
Even the people who say they want a key for their daughter or son whose like 7…
I’ve seen so many of these posts that even thinking about it pisses me off…
I think it could be fun.
But it also mean that the next Beta won’t have a single lag, since the population won’t even reach 1000 players xD
Jk apart, the next Beta Players will be these who played the first iCBT. They need a continuous feedback, so they need the “same” player base.
PS : I’m safe anyway
No. Mostly cause we didn’t encounter that much bugs on early levels. Every bug i got was checked on thw forum search an was already on it, and i don’t think spamming the same bug that have other 1 or 10 threads will do a thing.
First of all, i don´t have read all the post´s here, but i think:
Report bugs in the forum that already have reportet, makes (in my Opinion) no sense.
(i have read many threads with the same bug)
Just about everyone else here agrees. Very few actually found unique bugs that no one else saw. The vast majority of us all encountered the same bugs and that most of us quickly realized that those bugs have already been reported, as opposed to the other people who kept spamming the forums about the same bugs -_-
Lol if you guys didnt find any bug, its probably your first beta. I found around 50-60 bugs(22-27 hour play time, got my key on the 2nd batch).
Volume 4: Synchro Thrusting
Volume 5: Swell Middle Leg
Volume 6: Flesh Cannon
Volume 5… I thought it was supposed to be for ForeverAlone people… Swell Left Arm for lefties and Swell Right Arm for righties
Or better yet… Swell Head

They can easily flag accounts, and activate/deactivate as they wish. Like, any other game. That’s like saying since I bought WoW, I can never have my account suspended for not paying a sub.
I think that IMC is justified for this reasoning, though it isn’t omnipotent, it still does it’s job. IMC want to have contributing members, or at least players willing to contribute, a better chance at playing in a following beta. A counter argument may be posed along the lines of, “Some players did not have enough exposure to be able to report bugs, never mind encounter them.” I believe that even if players do not have enough exposure to bugs, that it is false. Many bugs and imbalances in the game could be spotted from level 1. There may be an amount of players that had access to the game, but were not allowed game time even if they were willing to contribute, that amount of players is severely small.
All-in-all, this is possibly the best system for IMC Games to use because it yield the best results for the purpose they wish. Personally, I cannot think of another method they could use. The original counter argument is like asking someone what career path they want to take, then hold them completely accountable for what they say, even if that claim may be untrue or could change.
Just because they played in the beta doesn’t inherently mean that they came across a bug. Knowing that parts of the game work properly is also part of beta testing.
