Paladin full spr build

My Pally is mostly STR/DEX and some CON am I however thinking for a few SPR as well but at how much SPR do you actually begin to notice a good increase in regen?? Do you need alot of it or is it better to just get headgear enchants with SPR regne?

Just thought Iā€™d chip in. This is my pallyā€™s build:

http://puu.sh/or2up/d66fa9ea21.jpg

Donā€™t do anything like my stat build, itā€™s terribad. I have 1 circle of kriv, hence the int. Do note that these are my stats without any buffs active.

A few things I have to say:
-if you plan on using smite, conviction or your basic attack, youā€™re going to want to at least SOME dex unless you get a ridiculous amount of accuracy from your gloves. With 300 accuracy, I still miss some (mostly archer type) mobs at the 220+ range. Also, with 299 evasion, I rarely dodge anything within level range.
-with this amount of sp recovery, smite will still empty your sp bar, though sp potions will likely solve the problem.
-if I could remake this character, Iā€™d probably transfer most int and some str points into dex.

luckily, I made this character for the sole purpose of making scrolls, so

fyi, I went Cleric > Kriv > cleric c2 > pally c3 > pardoner

I donā€™t know the exact answer to that. I guess Paladins have that extra sp regen from restoration attribute for a reasonā€¦they can Smite away their sp easily. X) As it was just mentioned above.

I donā€™t play yet so others could give more accurate info about it maybeā€¦Although I dunno about others but I actually noticed when I put on SPR in icbts.

SPR also gives some status effect resistance so it is not a bad stat.

On the other hand I donā€™t like the idea of spreading out the stats too muchā€¦but hell knows what is the best.

Thanks for the info! Iā€™ve been thinking a lot about how much SPR is the right amount of SPR for a SPR paladin build.

Obviously Deprotected Zone and Zalciai are important elements of a SPR based Paladinā€™s kit. But also, they both have limitations in that they canā€™t drop enemy stats into the negatives (at least as far as Iā€™ve heard). So theyā€™re kind of capped out by how much Def/Crit resist Mobs have? Most mobs in the game have less than 80 Crit Resist, so if youā€™re focusing on SPR youā€™ll pretty much always drop mob Crit Resist to 0. Mobs do have a decent amount of defense endgame (about 350), so you donā€™t really have to worry about that unless you put all of your points into SPR. Iā€™m not really sure how much itā€™s worth to pull other points into other stats?

I wish I knew how the crit formula worked, because DEX might be more valuable on enemies with lower crit resistance? Otherwise, more CON/STR wouldnā€™t hurt??

Crit resistance can go negative. Defense can not. Its very easy to test on low level mobs.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Since I really donā€™t understand how the crit formula works, I wouldnā€™t really understand how to test the thing with crit.

I believe the formula is: ((crit rate - crit resistance) x42)/(character level)= crit chance

I have 24 crit rate. I am level 222. My zalcai reduces crit resistance by 220.
Lets pick an example of a mob everyone hates Blue spion archers. They have a crit resistance of 10 and are level 225.

Without zalcai: ((24-10)x42)/222 = 2.64% crit chance
with zalcai: ((24-(10-220)x42)/222 = 44.27% crit chance

If zalcai only reduced critical resistance to 0
((24)x42)/222 = 4.54%
I crit way more than 5% when I zalcai mobs though. If I had to estimate it generally averages around 30-45%. Most mobs without zalcai I canā€™t crit at all though

Hi. May I ask if you know how much DEX or Accuracy I need to be able to make my Smite hit most of the time? As Iā€™m doing 4SPR:1CON currently in my build too. Going Cleric > Kriv > Cleric c2 > Pally c3 > Pardoner as well. Thank You!

Depends on your level. I originally never missed then started missing archer mobs starting at the 180s.

At level 223 with only 6 dex
I have about 300 accuracy
High dodge rate mobs have about 341 evasion at my level.
I generally switch from a 71 accuracy plate glove to a 112 accuracy leather glove if it becomes an issue.

Iā€™m Derkein Dragonfang (Klapedia), have been a paladin as my main. I have over 300hrs using and tweaking my paladin, and here are some knowledge I can share with you.

A bit of background. I run a str Paladin with a path of Cleric2 > Dievderby1 > Paladin3, currently lvl 160+ with a rank of 5. For stats, my distribution line is as follows SPR to have enough for a dungeon run w/o stopping, CON to survive at least 4 hits from a bossā€™s skill/aoe(enough time to cast SZ or Heal), STR the rest, DEX none, INT none.

Currently because of these stat distribution guidelines. I have 40SPR, 60CON, 220STR.

Nowā€¦ to answer and clear your doubts.

  1. (smite costs a lot of sp so spirit will be useful more than str/dex because it allows you to spam it more) Yes, it does cost alot of SP, and I spam it repeatedlyā€¦ the only problem I have is that it has a cooldown. I can run the dungeon for 30min straight without using an SP potion, and If I need to regen, I can fully get max SP within 20 sec using Restoration+SPRegenStatue+Bonfire. SP is not a problem for paladins, and at emergencies, we have SP Potions that are cheap.

  2. (turn undead works with spirit) Yes it does, as to the efficiency of its effect. I donā€™t know. But, as I currently use it at my SP stat at TU Lvl3. Instant death is approx 50% of mobsā€¦ It is good, and I spam it as well when mobs are clustered.

  3. (barrier adds magic defense equal to the spirit of the caster) Havenā€™t gotten barrier yet, No comment.

  4. (sp for days) For me itā€™s likeā€¦ SP for 30min with a downtime of 20sec for regen.

  5. (He sees the paladin as a support/dps) I see Paladins as those that can outlasts anyone, help everyone, and are unfallable in battle. The demons shall now our might! [AoE Support - Pseudo Str DPS]

  6. ( your damage in a party is still consistent?) My build has decent DPS, not the best DPS, but its sufficient. 5k~7k Smite dmg @ twice with 7sec cooldown convince you?

  7. (I carry both a mace and a sword around) I use 3 weapon types[Slash/Strike/Pierce], 2 shields[Physical/Magical], 2 armor sets[Cafrisun for AA/Plate for Defense] for efficiency.

  8. (It is a ok support, but priest likely more superior) I agree, Paladins are not Full-Support, were a semi-support class.

  9. (strength doesnā€™t do as much for the Smite) I canā€™t say. Though I just use str as a stat dump anyway.

  10. (str-dex paladins) I donā€™t see the need for DEX. No comment

  11. (paladin seems to be the biggest exception to the rule due to the fact that it scales with every stat) Iā€™m not sure if the statement is true, I donā€™t know what endgame is Lv480?

  12. (which paladin do you think will be more USEFUL in PVE- High End content) First of, Donā€™t die. 2nd the more you can accentuate/increase the performance of your party members the better. I do this by aura, but there are several ways as well. You may do a list of which skills benefit your party more, and choose from there. Skills Priority should be Party Survivability > Performance Enhancement of Party > Personal DPS

  13. (Im surprised youā€™d choose paladin for rank8+) Agreed, Youā€™d normally get Pala3 as early as possible.

  14. (Do you need alot of it or is it better to just get headgear enchants with SPR regne?) Unsure, it depends on what skills you took. Also, I donā€™t have any regen on my equips, as itā€™s not needed. I see a 20sec downtime from ~30min run as a cheat regen for Paladins xD.

  15. (if you plan on using smite, conviction or your basic attack, youā€™re going to want to at least SOME dex ) Sorry, I donā€™t see the need for dex. Iā€™m missing 5% of the time and it is within my tolerance. Though I donā€™t know at Lvls200+, also im assuming if you use a petamion +allstats necklace, then dex wont be a problem.

  16. ( Def/Crit resist Mobs) Unfortunately, I do not have Zalciai and as such I cannot comment. However, For my build I rarely/almost never crit.

Iā€™m on Klapedia server(Dragonfang), Iā€™d appreciate a like if you find this insightful. ^^

Thank You for your inputs Dragonfang. Can you enlighten me whatā€™s the purpose of having different weapons? (Iā€™m still new to this game). Also, since you have Dievderby1, I think it helped you a lot with your SP regen.

There are 2 main reasons to weapon swap: damage types for your auto attacks and stat bonuses.

Each mob is weak against a certain type of damage. Maces do strike damage (strong against plate) and swords do slash damage (strong against cloth). Through just weapons, clerics donā€™t have access to piercing damage (except daggers, but daggers are kinda meh?).

Also, maces have both physical and magical damage, while swords and rods only have one type of damage each, but generally have more of that damage.

So that too is for PVE right? So how would I know which weapon is best for a particular mob? And how often do u guys change equipment on PVE (i mean at what level you usually change/upgrade your equipments)? Thanks.

Just to clear some misunderstandings: Although I use an STR paladin, I do not dislike SPR builds. However, I think it would be a waste going SPR just for sp regeneration. I do not know how good it scales with skills, or if the MDEF is good enough to warrant a full SPR build. As with CON, were already highly unkillableā€¦ being an almost immortal being walking the battlefield has its merits for full CON, but you would also have miserable DPS. (As for how much dmg STR adds, I donā€™t knowā€¦ I just use str as a dump stat)

And as for PVP, well were Paladinsā€¦ and its almost impossible for us. In PVP ranged classes have the advantage due to kiting. The best strategy for us is to actually defend till our enemyā€™s SP runs out, then slowly pound them until they surrender or die. Our class can outlasts almost any other class there is, aside from other specialized cleric builds.

@Rugpuppet switching weapons to match enemy weakness provides us with +50%dmg and helps us to level abit faster. As to when you should have multiple equipsā€¦ then it should be as when you can afford it. Iā€™d recommend to get a good main weapon (purple/orange mace) and the best/2ndbest common (Sword and Dagger@Lv120). If INT based, you may want to use a Rod as well. As for Shields, I have an MDef for bosses, and a normal high PDef for mobs. Also, weapon switching is not requiredā€¦ and as I see it, Iā€™m the only Paladin that does this.

As for SP regen, yeahā€¦ I think so tooā€¦ SPRegen Aura + SP Restoration is too good. But, I wonā€™t recommend Diev for non-STR builds, since the main reason of getting the class should be Carve(DPS).

Hope this answers your question.

Itā€™s not just for the SP regeneration, but by using Deprotect Zone and Zalciai, which both scale with SPR, to increase not just your damage, but also the entire parties.

With 200 Strength you increase your smite damage by about 400.

With 100 SPR you increase your damage by 100-150 from Deprotect Zone, your critical rate by 80, and your critical attack by 100-200 from Zalciaiā€¦for your entire party.

(in theory)

Neither are clear cut better, but with the correct spells the SPR should do decent damage with the benefit of massively increasing the parties damage as well.

Itā€™ll also shine a lot more when at rank 8 you can do something like Cleric, Krivis, Priest, Paladin, Paladin, Paladin, Priest, Priest for stoneskin and even more absurd at rank 9 for Chaplain (though the effectiveness of future classes also depends on it. (of course there are other possible builds as well)

Iā€™ve seen that formula, but also Iā€™ve seen others. Has that formula been confirmed as correct across all classes (or at least on multiple classes)?

This post explains why people originally thought classes had their own modifiers. It was due to the fact that they did testing at different levels before realizing character level was a factor.

Hello Guys

This is my main character paladin build. I have to play over 400hrs with paladin in CBT and OBT. I would like to share about my idea and experience from paladin class with you.

the first in CBT I have to play paladin str+con but I have trouble about paladin support style because skill of paladin isnā€™t pretty support. and yes it hybrid but Iā€™m try play full support paladin although build donā€™t match.

In OBT I have to change my paladin build to Int+spr+con I think paladin int build is not bad for play and IMO paladin int build is better than str build.

  1. I think SPR is useful for paladin but not worth, feel free about spr. and If you use smite need some dex or get ring, necklace for addition Accuracy If you without dex.

  2. Curse is main skill of my paladin but If you have krivis I think zaibas is better. but I donā€™t like zaibas because It long CD and my build can pick only one krivis.

  3. Smite is stronger without str and match all status build. but It pretty annoy with CD and canā€™t loopable.
IMO smite should have new attribute change calculate with INT for support build

  4. Restoration is the great skill of paladin and healer. It OP make your heal stronger. If you play full int is great for you.
**IMO attribute Restoration: SP Recovery should change CD +8s to increase sp because I would like loopable everytime.

  5. Turn Undead I think this skill it so pretty efficiency of effect. you can instant dead demon or mutant around 40%-50% I think turn undead lv2 is enough if you have a lot of spr for attribute.
IMO this skill should reduce CD is better but this time is fair but not the best

  6. Conversion I think this skill is so garbage it so buggy, useless and donā€™t match with defense style class.
IMO this skill should remove permanent from paladin skill and move to Tamer class or Summoner Class is better
my suggestion about new skill for replace this skill
    1. Guardian
ability : create link to anyone target and paladin take damage instead of the target. (this skill like Guardian Saint from cleric but reverse.)
Lv1 max link 1 target duration 20 sec cooldown 60 sec
Lv2 max link 1 target duration 30 sec cooldown 60 sec
Lv3 max link 2 target duration 40 sec cooldown 60 sec
Lv4 max link 2 target duration 50 sec cooldown 60 sec
Lv5 max link 3 target duration 60 sec cooldown 60 sec
    or
    2. Shield
ability : create shield icon all member party for reduce damage physical and magic around some period time.
Lv1 reduce physical and magic dmg 10% duration 30 sec cooldown 100 sec
Lv2 reduce physical and magic dmg 20% duration 30 sec cooldown 100 sec
Lv3 reduce physical and magic dmg 30% duration 30 sec cooldown 100 sec
Lv4 reduce physical and magic dmg 40% duration 30 sec cooldown 100 sec
Lv5 reduce physical and magic dmg 50% duration 30 sec cooldown 100 sec

  7. IMO this time I donā€™t care about paladin skill become buff or nerf because IMC never serious rework this class. (STOP BUFF DMG TO PALADIN WE ARE DEFENSE AND SUPPORT CLASS. but yes this time we are hybird.)
If I care dps I can play krivis+druid for magic dps or monk for physical dps it better. but paladin is defense class we need more defense skill for team.
I hope the future this class have hidden class for require paladin c3 and have a lot of useful skill for team.

  8. I donā€™t have plan to c7 and c8 this time but Iā€™m interesting go to Shepherd.

Thank you Guys and see you at SEA.

What would happen if you had 500 SPR with Zalciai. According to my math you would be giving everyone against a enemy with 150 crit resistance 250 crit chance and 600 critical damage.

This means someone with 200 of their own crit chance would crit 70% of the time at level 280. and someone with no crit rate of their own would crit 40% of the time.

This seems like a huge bonus to damage for melee classes. But with the inability to obtain stat resets I am timid about going for such an extreme build. Does anyone have any thoughts about this sort of idea?

I was looking for this answer all along. I was looking for it in this thread Post 27

Turns out you have already confirmed that crit resistance can go negative values thus churning more crit rates via zalcial. Judging from what you have stated in the example, you have 275 SPR and thatā€™s huge.

Are you comfortable to share with me your Stat build and skill build that you are currently treading on? It will be very much appreciated.
