P2W Model Prevents People From Playing & Enjoying The Game

Everybody does realize you can just save money and buy awakened hats in the Market whit the stats you need right?

I got 3 hats in Ktos whit Magic attack on them and i never bought a magic scrolls.

The whole reason the potential of the hats was upper to 5 is so they can be sold and resold and be common market items anybody can afford.

Hmm, this thread needs more crybabies to make a difference. The older P2W threads got way more posts and attention than this soft thread.

Tera is a bad example. I never spent more than 50 dollars, and getting to tensus or even the newer stuff was just grinding the dailies/dungeons for money and material.

The only pay2win was pay2fashion. The costumes didn’t have stats either.

(sigh) this argument again. Just because you can get it using silver doesn’t reduce it’s Cash shop exclusive status. Someone had to pay $$$ to make it into existence.

Please, look at the whole picture, and not just from your own tiny perspective.

Do people just get a kick out of calling other people crybabies? Is that why it’s such a popular insult? Does it make you feel better?

Then why not simply sell hats for silver in cash shop?

-now i messed up my post completly x.x

Wateva… I’ll buy EA and take a look at everything. If I’ll see typical p2w money machine I’ll just delete this game and forget forever.
Of course it would be amazing if ToS could bring the same feelings as RO back days, but I think it’s almost impossible. World has changed.
Dev’s should take an example from games like Vainglory (best moba). Amazing success! Freaking million ppl online. And all the earns from cosmetics! But those cosmetics are so awesome, so ppl wanna pay again and again.

Well, hey, since you replied to me, I’ll reply to you.
It’s a bit nonsense to say fashion is pay to win. There won’t be any fashion contests in a game with this little customization in the looks and without any built-in function to hold any such contest. I can say this with 100% certainty.
This just sounds like you’re trying to make a fallacious argument for the sake of making an argument

and thats the purpose why i typed it - cause its a complete BS theory like most of the stuff wich is being assumed by people - thats my point xD

x.x i know that too but i wanted to set a reply to the one i replied to - then i decided to skip that idea and write something else but forgot to make a new “reply”

im tired already its 11pm here xD now i edit my own post to set this reply in x.x ugh

First you replied to me when you wanted to post a general reply in the thread… And now you edited in your response to my post into a post that was posted chronologically before mine? And you effectively deleted your original post by doing that. Way to make things confusing…

EDIT: And now you’ve made an actual reply and edited out your reply from the post I replied to, making it triple confusing. Holy crap, man

Pay to Win is in the…

Definitely, but there is such a thing as a general consensus. Most people will agree that buying stats is P2W and that cosmetics isn’t P2W

Because you kids don’t know what real P2W is. A hat that takes an absurd amount of money to get good stats that isn’t even completely gamebreaking and 10% movement speed that doesn’t apply in PvP Arenas. Honest fking joke that you clueless idiots are complaining about.

Saddest part of this thread and many others is that the majority that are crying don’t even PvP, which is where ironically where these stats should have the most impact. (Not even sure if PvP Arena balances gear though, heard mixed info on this.)

First you justify looking down on others, then you’re calling people clueless, kids, and idiots. And on top of that, you’re throwing expletives in there. Maybe you need to vent your frustrations in a different way?

How’s about you actually make a logical reply to my examples than pointing out my attitude?

That was a fun game~

It applies in GvG though. And lots of people do GvG.

Because a proper attitude is just as essential as sound logic. And I’m sorry I didn’t have any strong rebuttals to such quality arguments as

Which is what started this whole thing.

I don’t even know what sort of rebuttal you expect from your other post. It contains more insults than arguments.

I guess you are right on that front, When I think of p2w I think about games like Conquer Online or Entropia Universe where very little progress can be made on your character without taking out a second mortgage.

If the advantage costs about the same as a retail game purchase, I basically consider it a “I’m serious about this game” admission fee, but I understand that the vocal majority sees this very differently than I do.
