Hey the Long Stride and Iron Hook Combo thing you were saying before…
It works, and it doesn’t break the Iron Hook when using Long stride to the enemy while hooked.
I’ve seen a video…I’ll send to this post of yours later. I’m at the office.

From what I saw, I’m guessing SW>PELT>HOP2>CRS2>Shinobi. If it is done that way, I guess I found my build :3
That would be fine …
But you will problems with it in the future… but only few things.
There are things you need to take note…
That build is more on damage, but the problem is, how will you even get close to the enemy? Yeah you have Long stride on the run, but for me, its not enough. However, if you do well and play well that kind of build, I just hope whoever the enemy you are facing has to pray
Coz this build is more on DAMAGE.
2nd problem is your Deeds of Valor. Sure it gives +50% attack but gives you -50% of your physical defense (and it hits you like a truck!) in level 5 skill stacks. However, you stacks will only apply if you are HIT. Another downside is when you Dodge/block the enemy attacks, the stacks don’t count.
Cyclone. Ah a Juggernaut’s Skill ( of Dota 2). It may block 75% of any harmful effects, and you can move while spinning like a Beyblade, but some classes can dodge it easily like Psychokino’s Teleportation, or if the enemy is really good in movement maneuvers no matter what class he is in, he/she can dodge the cyclone easily too.
I just hope you max the Stabbing skill of Hoplite coz that is one of the fastest attacks in swordsman skill tree. It hits like a tree. A boss killer skill. However, it can be interrupted by knock backs and knock downs, even stuns. a
By the build you are maximizing the efficiency of Clones. They can copy Double Slash and Kunai. If used properly, you can deal huge damage to the enemy.
Use Spear Lunge before using any Pierce-Type damage. When the enemy is hit by Spear Lunge, they become vulnerable on any Pierce-Type damage. Please remember that all Shinobi Skills are Pierce-Type Damage.
I prefer the build by @sparklinglennard, never liked spears and he used barb c2, rocking two handed sword/ sword & dagger looks way cooler in my opinion.
I’m hopefull he will reply to my questions about the build soon.
Hi @sirdreifus
About the Armor type…Well, it really depends upon your perspective and build.
My build is SwordC2 > HopC2 > CorC2 > Shinobi…
In my case, I’m using Plate-Type Armor…
Why?
Plate Type Armor provides additional stamina for 4 sets of Plate armor that I am wearing depending on how many levels is my Mastery is.
Gives additional HP depending on how many levels is my Mastery is.
Gives a percentage of Physical Damage Reduction you will be receiving for 4 sets of Plate armor depending on how many levels is my Mastery is.
I need more stamina to maximize the Bunshin Clones and Double Weapon Assault for they consume stamina when used. I can’t just use Stamina Pill forever right? XD
Physical Defense, Additonal HP, Stamina, and Physical Reductions are the statuses that are needed for Shinobi.
Thanks for the info, right now im swordc2 hopc2 but I don’t really like spears, gonna rebuild and take sword c1, pelt c1, barb c2, corsair c1, dop c1, shinobi c1
I don’t have much time to play and I really think I won’t last long with a character I don’t like cosmetic wise, thats why I asked sparklinglennard about his skills, also wanted to know about the plate or leather and you gave me that answer.
Thank you very much
Personally, I didn’t like spears but I learned to like it just because of Finestra, Long Sride and Spear Lunge. I was like saying, “hmmmm a Spartan Ninja, why not?” XD
Honestly, I was thinking to go for Leather Type armor because of High evasion and accuracy… which is really good to Shinobi…
But…
The problem is, honestly, Shinobi Class is too squishy…and 100% Dodge rate doesn’t even exist in TOS…
So, I was thinking to invest on Physical Defense, Stamina, Additional HP, and Physical Damage reduction which is badly needed for Shinobi. So, practically speaking, I have to choose what I will benefit the most, Plate-Type Armor.
A friend of mine is level 280 archer using Leather. He said, there is no such thing as 100% Dodge rate…and he showed it to me through PvP with another player…so i think Leather is not a good choice for Shinobi in my opinion.
Ohh thanks
I have mix opinion about my experiment build. PVE is quite easy with this build because i have peltasta ,barb and dople which are good AOE base circles. those 3 class alone have good synergy in killing gathered mobs and the good thing is im using sword which I like. However when you considering PVP in you later game which in my case since i’m fully gear and max, those circles are kinda hard to use. luckily i have corsair in my build which i can hold my enemy and throw all my skills on it.
what i learned is, if your doing pvp in your later game or boss hunting, getting hoplite1 or sw2 at least is a good base on those said type. because getting fenestra makes you save stat for str or con instead of putting it on dex and getting sw2 will give you 20% stun for pvp and also for pve purpose.
And if your really want to be a sword type shinobi i suggest to get sw2 or sw3 as your starting. forget peltasta. ahahha i know its going to be hard without it but it will gave you some benefits in later game in my opinion of course.
I’m leveling both leather and plate in case.
plate is good in grinding especially when you have low dex, and leather is good in pvp and boss hunting on what i observe but in the end its what makes you feel okay.
I have nothing against that build coz it has a potential synergy…
However, please consider these few points if you’re going to Dopple…
WHY?
First, when you used bunshin lets say your bunshin skill level is 5…if you use that skill, you will be receiving damage 5x than a normal damage to any normal attacks or skills from any incoming attacks…Plus if you activate Deeds of Valor ( lets say you have level 5 DoV) of course, by basic you will receive 1 stack immediately…so +10% additional attack damage and -10% physical defense reduction…
that -10% physical reduction + 5x damage taken could potentially 1 hit you by the boss…at least 90% chance of 1 hitting you, theoretically speaking… if that is, if you misplayed the combo…
My point all of this is…
please think on what you’re getting in to… the consequences of every build/skills/stats etc.
think if it suites your style and your taste… think if you can risk it to go into…
I was thinking before this build: Sword:C3 > HopC2 > Dopple > Shinobi…
But I switch to this build instead: SwordC2 > HopC2 > CorC2 > Shinobi…because I can’t sacrifice my defense just for a temporary huge buff…coz my game style is DPS, Utility, and Stealth
but hey that’s me…
If im going to reroll i’m going to these path.
why? its both good in pvp and pve especially in killing boss.
if your going for pure single type damge go corsair c3 and forget shinobi.
corsair hexen dropper with attribute up to 100 can easily do 10k ~ 15k as well without the need for doppel buffs… just got to have very high STR in general
Thanks for the reply, will take that into consideration
nah…i wont sacrifice my shinobi hahahaahahahaha! XD
I understand that, even read the whole thread and saw you mentioned it earlier but I was looking forward to throw away the spears lol.
One thing for sure is that I could keep going with my swc2>hop2 and just reset my skills/stats instead of rebuilding from 0 but I don’t know how to allocate my stats if it’s gonna be that way.
Would you mind telling me what stats to focus on? (Already saw on the beginning of the thread what skills to focus on).
Thanks in advance,
Dave
I could still take that path but I won’t be able to use swords
i was considering before because they really do good damage in single enemy. ahahaha! but i pass in the end.
STR will be our focusing on. since they nerf the dex before… getting 70 or 80 base dex will be enough.
Storm, I understand that I i go with build 1 I will be glass canon and probably dead really fast in pve, but and about pvp? Will shinoby build one be able to kill faster than be killed?
Thanks
Do I have to get the dex early in game or I can wait until higher levels?
Thanks,
Dave
iknow right. actually you can, if your going to use corsair skills switch to sword. its a switch basis.
its annoying but fun in the end.
if your starting to get miss in attacking mobs then go get the dex. that’s what i do before. xD
