Tell me which 2h sword weapon has higher atk than event weapon.
BTW there’s no need to post your hate if you can’t even read the official topic of this thread.

Tree of saviors= Tree of cleric
Build a dps Cleric, and watch him destroys the world
My friends chaplain/ plague doctor makes my SR dmg feels like sht.
Edit: reply to the wrong person o:
please post event sword, idk what the stats are for that item
Honestly i had no issues with doing the R8 zones on my main solo. It just depends heavily on your class and gear. Archer 2 / Ranger 3 / Schwarzer Reiter 3 can just kite all the hard hitting mobs while dealing immense damage. Buffs from Pardoner and lvl10/lvl15 HP & SP pots work wonders.
I don’t have screenshot atm, but it’s atk is 1500+
If you don’t know what event weapons are like, skip video below to 1:08:18
I do think that the solo grinding difficulty is really good now though. With the new damage formulas R8 content is at least 10-20 times way easier than how it was previously for players who are on average, below level gear. We are way past the times when all we do to monsters is 1 damage and every monster that hit us is 6-8k damage.
ToS is akin to a traditional MMO, where in order to see growth the player has to strive to improve their characters, both in terms of skill/attribute levels and equipment.
There has to be some point in the game where there will be a wall telling the players, “Hey in order to quest here efficiently, please upgrade your gear and stats”. If not why bother to create so many items and gear when the default starting equipment can already do the job efficiently?
Personally I do think that some of the new player events created by IMC give a misconception that everything is smooth sailing and the player is hand held all the way to R8. Lots of time is saved with the generous exp tomes and resets given and they took away a lot of the other crucial parts that should come together with the traditional way of leveling a character.
It is through questing, forming exp grind parties and numerous DGs that we can scrimp and gather enough grub to level up our gear and skill attributes.
Then as we reach R8 content though the traditional way, the content wouldn’t come as a shock since we upgraded and prepped for it all the while.
Here, skip this to 2:40:14
Doing quest at high level is near impossible…
Watch it till 2:42:00 then starts real hell
i’d say the sword is o-k. but not op unless you can upgrade and transcend it.
also if you’re playing doppel3 you should have taken DoV15 it would give you a 33% boost on your final damage.
just to remind you that you’re also lucky to be playing with the new DoV that doesnt need to be stacked to gain its maximum benefits unlike before, but idk since DoV15 used to be + 150% dmg -100%def + aspd buff but requires getting hit to stack the damage,
IMO what you missed from before was the reign of dex stat, which makes people crit and dodge 80% of the time. but everyone knew that dex was broken before so the changes was totally expected, except for the crit part since crit chance has always been part of a certain stat in every mmo but crit in ToS was too op that everyone except mages would take dex stat and crit like hell., now you need to gear up towards crit chance to gain atleast 50% crit rate and call it good
lol … i don’t know what to say
you call that impossible and next to hell level?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
i just fell off my chair laughing my ass so hard HAHAHAHAHA
From the video I gathered that…
Fighting against monsters 12 levels above your level (they gain bonus damage against you due to level difference); each of them dealing 300-800 damage to your 30+k hp character (1-3% damage per hit); and your character easily dispatching them in a matter of 3-4 skills… is hard to near impossible?
I do see where the problem lies now. Our perception of the term “hard” is kind of different. I think in order for you to actually grind and quest there just like how we dispatch level 1-100 mobs like bean curd… you will need to get better gear. Patk at the minimum around 4-5k to chop them up fast.
he wouldn’t understand what we are trying to say, judging by how he played in the vid lol.
you dont fight against too many mobs with dps builds. (unless you’re geared)
you want to fight against many mobs but your gears aren’t even viable to do so.
you dont use your skill rotation efficiently and just spam them out of the blue.
you can use your 15min cd item to escape death by teleporting near the entrance of the map.
with the way you play you need atleast hasta plate set upgraded to +6 and above a 315 weapon upgraded to +8 above and transcended to 2 and above to enjoy your gameplay.
anyways, im out of this thread.
goodluck and gitgud
edit:
also please use the shops in the town buy buffs such as sacrament and aspersion they will help you alot in battle.
blessing is a great buff but has hit counts so maybe just take them when you plan to do dungeons and other stuffs
you can also buff your armors and weapon via squire shops
Do you mind sharing your ping to Klai server?
I noticed that on your 12-hour 1-330 grind, you had played in Silute… but in that Doppel video you were in Klai.
Ping might be one of the reasons you found it to be more difficult, though I’m not sure of your nationality (however, my BR friend plays with me in Klai and often has issues with ping).
alr watch video, it’s hell cuz u attack the elite mob, it have many CC skills and can summon many other mobs, this why
and what is your build ?, if u build a doppel, u can clear all of this mobs in 10 or 20s with cyclone and bash+punish
I do think that each player has their own style of play and build choices though. What we can do here is to offer some advice to help @Unlocked resolve his problem of not being able to quest efficiently in the high ranking maps.
In R8 the high ranking 4 star maps have a knack of being different from the other maps which we are used to. They are tailored and tuned to require some form of either one or both of the following:
When a player is lacking in gear, they can make it up by devising strategies to clear monsters. From using skills that will render a monster unable to fight (stun/sleep/knockback etc) for a few seconds to stop them from attacking, to using a hit and run tactic to dispatch the monsters one by one.
With the new damage formula in place, it should be much easier to clear such maps than before. Previously monsters there deal 8-20k damage per hit for those who are ill-equipped to face the adversaries there. 1HKO was a common occurrence, making almost all kinds of strategies useless. This was what we face when R8 was first out. It was really hard then, trying to do the Mishekan Forest quests usually result in 20+ deaths before clearing.
@Unlocked do try out other methods to clear the monsters if you can. This is the game’s way of telling us that we need to add some variety and ways to approach monsters, they aren’t fodders like in the 100-200 levels.
Yeah sorry guys, I came to conclusion this game is not for me (or atleast the end game), thought i do enjoy leveling new chars. This kind of difficulty level (the one in the video i posted previously) isn’t fun for me and not worth my time grinding.
Grinding from level 1-250 was somehow different, took 2-3 hits to kill mobs wave, was more enjoyable even if I got no loot.
If you want a game where you steam roll stuff just go play super mario or something.
Understand that your preference lies in games where you can dispatch monsters fast while feeling strong just like Koei Musou genre games and Diablo style.
In this game you can too, just that in order to do that there we have to invest time and effort into gearing the characters. Then we will get the satisfaction of killing mobs fast as a reward.
pretty much all mmo’s are designed this way,
honestly, i think TS thought that he could faceroll everything past behind his level which usually happens on western mmos,
This is probably why I always stick to western mmos.
Still can’t believe that difficulty is normal for you guys.
