So you mean you get even more classes at rank 4? Because that’s how it’s supposed to go. You get +2 every Rank. The only time it goes +1 is when you finish Circle 3 of a class. So it removes that class (since you can’t go beyond Circle 3) and then adds the 2 others you get per Rank. Or is this not the problem you’re talking about? Lol. Sorry I really don’t get what you mean.
yea but for example, if I got to peltast circle 3 and then I want to go to back to swordman circle 2, when I click Swordman Circle 2 the skills from Peltasta Circle one are erased.
You mean the skills from your Swordsman Circle 1 gets erased? Yeah, that’s what I also said.XD
I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets nerfed somehow since it leads to certain classes being “mandatory” and cookie cutter builds taking all the most powerful abilities. I do like being able to finish off classes that were started earlier, and the old system left some ranks feeling pretty weak.
That’s a ton, but if they’re planning for so many, that could be why they’re changing the class system like this. Are we going to get low level hidden classes?
They have said before that hidden classes could be at any rank other then 1. If i find a link to it ill add it, but nothing definite on what ranks they will be.
Hmm, @FatePGN - do you know if this keeps in line with saving skill points?
Could you, for example, go wizard 1, spend only 5 skill points, go cryomancer 1, then go wizard 2 and then spend 15+10 skill points on wizard 2?
All right, I misunderstood the system then. But and what about class balance? As you seen to agree with pretty much everything that IMC does since before the game launchs, what are your thoughs about class balance in ToS, mainly now with this new system? Assuming they will keep the way is now
Do you think that they will be able to handle it? And another question, don’t you think that a bad class balancing can ruin the game?
Much love, keep up the good work man thank you very much.
Even with the old system cookie cutter builds existed with this system it allows for more then just one or two routes to be effective giving more usefulness to some classes that would be left out by the min/max’ers
Under the old system, builds that conflicted with each other were both viable if each had a worthwhile skill. You couldn’t say “all wizards need to be Elementalists to do damage” since Chronomancer’s utility is so good. You couldn’t insist on all clerics having Divine Might and Resurrection since they could only get one.
Let’s come up with some examples of classes that were being left out before and post builds that make them viable now.
And people forgot about Archer’s C2 Swift Step attribute, which when maxed, gives additional 50% critical rate from your current critical rate stats.
From the way I see it, in the end, you still have to make sacrifice to choose your classes wisely.
tbh they might as well remove that rank unlocking of classes, and just allow you to pick what you want per rank
THIS! As 3rd circle cleric im no longer forced to take sadhu as my main source of damage, i can take krivis instead + useful buff krivis provide.
Yeah, but Sadhu’s deal more damage than Krivis’ for INT dps =p
I uploaded a new version. Fixed the bug that skills start at level 0 if there is a different class before it. Fixed skill points not decreasing correctly if there is a different class before it.
@Calvin I don’t really understand the problem. Can you give me a more detailed descrition? I mean C1,C2,C3 are supposed to share skill points (if this wasn’t changed) so what exactly is incorrect about the skill points?

[/quote]“Stab” Warrior.
Had to chose between Hoplite (lance skills) or Barbarian (stab double hit buff) for Rank 3, then go to Cataphract on Rank 4 and keep him until Rank 6 or go for Rodolero… both being underwhelming options for Rank 5 and 6 overall.
Now I can pick more ranks on Hoplite. Yay!
Sapper, Quarrel Shooter, Priest and Bokor will probably see more play too.
As for Wizard, if IMC doesn’t rework Necromancer I will want this option for an “older” class at Rank 6, because I don’t really like Alchemist either.
Well this topic started a ruckus.
My opinion on this system after testing it is that I feel it doesn’t have the risk/reward as the other system did. You had to make choices to get to certain classes and that just doesn’t exist anymore. It doesn’t affect my personal build the way it sits currently, but I also don’t know what the other class advancements are after 6. When we know everything about the other classes then I’ll decide weather or not I personally like or dislike this system.
R1 Wiz 1
R2 Wiz 2
R3 Psy 1
R4 Psy 2
R5 Chr 1
R6 Psy 3 (ya i want that dirty swap level 15)
R7 Linker for obvious reasons / or one of the R7 classes if its viable but linker is somewhere somehow a MUST even if hes last picked
Good news i can have Psy 3 AND Chrono 1 AND Linker 1 in one build wohooo… Bad news for anybody who wanna go PvP later on - Might even take Wiz 3 in later ranks if any classes are total crap (or Skill to Chrono 3 if he got a super duper circle 3 move)
So ya the above gonna be broken in PvP - other classes dont benefit like the Wizard does - nice idea i wanna keep it that way please - thx xD
I don’t even…?
It will be a blow for you to level up, huh? Lol.
ya people got no clue how much potential swap has! its like the best skill in the whole psy tree - maybe even the best skill in the whole wizard class tree…youll hear people swearing “aw man that dirty swap got me again” haha
i offer enough sustain boss dps - anyways levling my ways up together with a paladin/monk so grinding wont be an issue
Why invest in swap? You can get charges at lvl2+?
for example… swap 2 or 3 times before activate cooldown (18s)?
If psy receive dmg cancels Psychic Pressure?
