New Class Advancement System

Can someone link me to where it says new classes end at 7/8 and theirs 30 hidden because the information i find still says.

"There are Four Hidden Classes in Tree of Savior. Explanation:

We know this:

80 character classes and 10 stages of class advancements
There are four basic classes
each class has two class advancements"

Rank 10??
We have rank 6 now, but later
max rank is going to be 8 right?

Nowhere… I mean there was just a Q&A where they said that maybe rank 8 will be the max… nothing is confirmed yet.

You can go Monk first, then pardoner next, since your options are not blocked off anymore once you make a decision.

Q) Up to which rank would we be able to play in the Open Beta?

A) Our original plan was to open up to Rank 10~11, but we are thinking about changing that. We are thinking about hiding 20 classes so there is a chance that the last rank could be 8, but it’s not confirmed yet

Has this actually been confirmed?

OOOO so if they reduce the rank cap to 8 the classes that would have been 9 and 10 become hidden. I got yea.

I am guessing you got this from tos wiki.

Your missing one major part from that page. The heading.

Prediction

If you read the reddit post it says you can pick two classes on the same rank at different times.

Example (The bold is if you pick that class what options you’d have for the next rank)
Rank 1:Cleric
Rank 2:Cleric C2, Priest, Krivis
Rank 3:Cleric C3, Priest, Krivis, Bokar, Dievdirbys
Rank 4:Priest, Krivis, Bokar, Dievdirbys, Sadhu, Paladin
Rank 5:Priest C2, Krivs, Bokar, Dievdirbys, Sadhu, Paladin, Monk, Pardoner
Rank 6:Priest C2, Krivs, Bokar, Dievdirbys, Sadhu, Paladin, Monk C2, Pardoner, Druid, Oracle

The last patch in kCBT has changed the class advancement system. Now classes are no longer locked away from you.
I.E If you’re Cleric, and decide to go Krivis, in the future you can still become Cleric 2 or Priest.
Time for new builds.

Yes, I’ve tested it out (made a new character, got to rank 4, then made the post), also just translated the patch notes where they describe the new system as well.

This is what I had thought, it threw me off when Fate liked StonerSunshines’s ex. so I just wanted to be sure. Thanks everyone! 8)

There should be an image on the reddit post that may help clarify things.

next time they will announce that it is possible to switch class example switch wizard to swordman to get swordmas useful passive skills…that I think would be the worst.

More options is always a good thing imo, although i don’t think there are many classes that would benefit from getting circle 2-3 on the earlier classes instead of picking the higher ranked classes as soon as possible.

so as a experience player, can you share your opinion on this change? everyone here is just throwing out a theory without experience.

But since you are an actual legit player, can you share your thoughts on this change? good thing, bad thing, positive, negative changes?

EDIT: and no, I don’t count ICBT or KCBT 2 as an experience.

But the downside if we go cross classing we need to upgrade both weapon sword and wand for example. Going to buffs, buffs can be changed to applicable only to class main stance like if you used swordsman buff, that buff will not be effective to wand stance but to sword stance only.
(nothing real here, just a suggestion)

This back tracking system i can live with if they do cross class i’m out >.>

Being able to pick all the types of mages is kinda op

Well you could go pyro and psycho, and that would also be pretty strange right?

Regardless, it’s actually much more unique now. Before, people were going through pretty much the same paths to certain builds that were optimal, now there is so much more variation, much more unique builds that actually have unique identities instead of the current system where everyone picked out cookie cutter builds based on the role they prefer, and the style they wish to play.

This is almost nothing like the RO2 class system.

Not really, you still have 6 ranks in total (for now), and have to decide how far you want to go in terms of circles for each type of wizard. Your given more variety, and versatility now.
