New Class Advancement System

I think you’ve misunderstood the system. I’ll use Cleric as an example, here are the options available to you now:

Rank 1: Cleric
Rank 2: Cleric C2, Krivis, Priest
Rank 3: Cleric C2 (C3 if you have chosen C2 at Rank 2), Krivis (C2 if you chose Krivis previously), Priest (C2 if you chose Priest previously), Bokor, Dievdirbys

So on and so on. You don’t ever go back a class. You just get to pick between all the classes you unlocked (including the circles you’ve unlocked). In the end you can still pick up to only 6 classes (for now, it’ll change when there are more ranks), and can’t ever go backwards, or reset a class (not currently at least).

I was thinking of it in the way FatePGN described it where as long as you have reached the appropriate rank you can back track to it. So yes in the ranks 7-9 you could back track to monk afterwords.

Oh okay.

This “updated system” is still on study right? Nothing’s definitive?

This system is good for my fast dps build … Now I can skip most of swordman classes and use those ranks for other classes.

Ah ok. I haven’t slept yet so that made it a little harder for me to comprehend. I got it now.

I’ll have to test it on a reroll, but personally I don’t think I’ll end up having it for my mains build.

If I’m understanding this right it shouldn’t really be a big deal. You’re essentially locking yourself out of class advancements for whatever class you backtrack to.
Example;
R1: Cleric
R2: Priest, Krivis, Cleric C2
R3: Cleric 2, Priest C2, Dievdirbys, Bokor
R4: Sadhu, Paladin, Cleric C3, Priest C2
R5: Cleric C3, Priest C3, Monk, Pardoner

etc

So even if you alternate, at most you’ll be maxing out maybe one or two classes. No going back and picking up stuff you didnt choose. If anything you’re going to have to be a lot more careful in your planning of builds.

Since we have 2 new classes on every rank, that means that for Rank 6, you’ll can have up to 8 possibilities?
That’s a lot… and it looks like painful…

So I could do this:
Rank1: Cleric
rank 2: Cleric C2
rank 3: Dievderbys
rank 4: Paladin
rank 5: Monk
rank 6: Monk C2
rank 7: Monk C3
rank8: Cleric C3
rank9: Dievderbys 2/Paladin2
rank10: Dievderbys3/Paladin3

Just imagine, for the sake of the example, that rank 10 was the max rank.

Yes that would be possible.

Essentially that’s what it would seem like, but you’d give up on getting any of the unannounced classes in this build.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

If there is going to be 30 hidden classes as they said… The last rank is going to be 7-8

Since when last i looked it was Rank 10 with 4 hidden classes 1 to each tree.

Edit: after googling i’m still finding this as the answer.

Ah – So you do have to have chosen a class to be able to go back to it? (In @StonerSunshine 's example the only difference from the system that was in place before is that you’re now given the option to go back and rank up a previous class later on. or am I not seeing something here…?)

Doesn’t that actually mean this is only just back tracking?

edit: [ if that example were accurate then you couldn’t go pyro and cyro… so iam going to assume that’s not how it is… or that I am confusing myself… lmao. ]

@FatePGN Which is the truth?! eep… fate liked his ex. so now i’m unsure.

I can’t confirm it, if anyone here is in kCBT they could check but for now I’m waiting on someone to get back to me on it.

With this new system they could make it happen that the last rank for new classes is rank 7-8 but you could still reach rank 10 with circles or picking up classes you didn’t before.

so I still can’t be a Monk and a Pardoner at the same time… lol okay no problem

No you can be a monk and a pardoner now.

@FatePGN what? I’m so confused now… Monk and Pandoner are both attainable at same ranks.
