New Class Advancement System

so what will happen to rank 6 classes like Doppelsoldner and Oracle?
are they attainable @ rank 2? but these classes only have 1 circle, if so then they should add 2 more circle… hmm it’s not hard to segregate their skills to 3 circles tho… but another thing is the skills only have maximum of 5 levels… just take a look

i know that but are you telling me out of the ranks we know there is a skill that compares to divine might in power? Because if there is i haven’t seen it. And despite what your other 7 ranks are divine might is applicable to those ranks as long as they have skills and going out on a limb, i think they will.

Basically divine might is powerful and can be used by anything and i would just hate to see the diversity of the cleric tree diminished because of this change.

There’s already a topic speaking of that, about the possibility to continue a previous class.
It’s interesting, but if the devs actually implement this, they have to be really careful.

The actual class system is very interesting because it promotes diversity by making difficult choices (sacrifices).
If you can “go back” to you previous class while ranking up, you’ll have to sacrifice the “new classes” of your rank.
Here’s an example: SwordC1 > PeltC1, then you choose SwordC2 (or directly C3?), but you MUST say goodbye to the Hoplite class (Rank3).

Do you know which classes come after monk? because I dont. Also, I’d change priest for dievderbys/sadhu.

@PrinceMark

Yes but i feel like in this method the choices get easier because you have more options at each rank. Not sure if you get what i mean.

I feel the like option of go priest 3 /sadhu/paladin is harder then the option of priest 3/ sadhu/ paladin/ cleric 2 / bokor / etc/ etc is

Divine might isn’t all that great. Especially now since it’s easier to reach circle 2/3 of a class you want now, and DM doesn’t really scale well or at all past 15/10 on most skills. That being said, this system allows for more diversity throughout all 4 classes.

I dont see priest3 as a must, but lets agree to disagree(going monk in obt too). If it stays like this I’m probably going: cleric3,paladin1,Monk3,whatever comes after if its useful/get paladin3/dievderbys3.

People saying Priest 3 might be a must, but people are forgetting that Wizard 2 will be pretty much needed for any sort of PvP later just for SureSpell.

Not being locked out of advancing a circle just because you picked a new class is a good thing, but being able to pick ANY is a bit… too much and I hope they do change their mind about it after the test. I’m unsure about how this’ll go but it’s a good sign if they are considering changes. I just hope it doesn’t go from 10 circles to “pick 10 classes and you can max them.”

I do see that i’m just concerned for my class XD and do skills have a large fall off after 15 now because on the ICBT divine might was the ■■■■.

There should be a downfall to doing this. If you go from class1 to class2 back to class1 circle 3 you should have to forfeit all of the skills in the class1 circle 2 and only gain those from the circle three.

If this system must exist this is just how I feel it should be executed. Will this happen? Probably not at all.

Because its seem weird its does mean it sucks… It allows u build more which is good thing… I bet there is going to be Rank limit… If u upgrade your older classes u lose one rank point… So you need still be very carefull what your are gonna upgrading…

Easier? Maybe… I don’t know. But still not so simple than it looks I guess.

if you go Priest C3 directly, you can’t be a Sadhu. But if you’re “backtracking”, you can choose the path PriestC2>SadhuC1>PriestC3… but still losing the possibility to be Monk… It depends on how this system will work.

In the end, we’ll all reach the Rank 10 (at first), that means we’ll all have to make 9 choices of path, not more.

Yes, skills fall as you level them. For example(as far as i remember) going from 5-10 upgrades the skill in 50%, from 10-15 upgrades the skill in 25%, I guess it becomes less from 15-20/20-25.

I wasn’t saying that your builds were wrong, I was just saying that you’ll have to see what are you loosing before choosing  Who knows, maybe IMC implements on Rank 8 a class that you’ll have better uses than specializing the Priest to Circle 2, but I see that you don’t care :stuck_out_tongue:

And in what order would you do those builds  ?

so we can be one of the hidden classes without so much considerations unlike before that I bet we need to reach rank 6 first in order to unlock or change to hidden class, with this new system along the way we can meet hidden NPCs offering exclusive class… so then it’s on our hands to take it or leave it coz of risk of messing up the class build.
