New Class Advancement System

Far less difficult decisions, or atleast no irreversible one’s and less compromise into your builds, with previous system some classe combinations weren’t possible so it was all about compromises . You had to make “harder” choices.

Also, feel like Classe/rank system is not one anymore, it feel for me more like a giant skill tree now.

What you quoted was said by @harimaku so i am assuming you meant to reply to him?

“Somehow the new system does not have difficult decisions??? …You guy should read our responses here…”

Uh actually your quote shows me 2 different things when expanded and not expanded i have no idea who you were addressing x.x
Yeah, because we have class resets and unlimited Ranks to level right?
So, the game chosing for you what you can pick has more compromise than you chosing it yourself…?

Yeah i was responding to harimaku in fact, I have some trouble with that forum, not use to those kind of forums >.<

Yes, the game choosing for you means there is more compromise on your part, referring to the old system. What if you wanted Pryo1 and Cryo1. You had to compromise in the old system in pick one, the only way to play both was to make another Wizard. New system is less compromising as you can now play that Pryo1 Cryo1 like you want.

This answer your question?

I was talking more about the choices the old system gave you, forcing you to chose something you don’t want, so there is no compromise to begin with.

Like how I talked about my unwillingness to play Warrior or Cleric since I disliked what the game forced me to chose later, based on what I wanted my character to be. (ie: forcing every magic DPS Cleric to go for Sadhu, which I wouldn’t like to get)

If IMC decides to go with the old system I will probably only make a Wizard and an Archer. With the new one I am thinking of making one of each, and maybe even a second Wizard.

Now that the new system is what it is, the old system in comparison involved alot of compromising. Pryo or Cryo seemed to be the biggest dilemma imo. But you saying you may go with even a 2nd Wizard with the new system shows how it is less compromising, if at all.

Let’s hope at least they won’t keep this system and add some kind of class reset in the cash shop, 'cause that would be awful >.>

Yea removing all penalty for making a poor choice is never a good idea.

But you can create shitty build with old system too and this new system allow create more good builds + more shitty build than before… So we are winning more than losing… Hoplite + Barbarian is one of good example… Now you can improve Hoplite damage with Barbarian which is not Op at all… this was not possible in old system…

welp, I’m expecting they will make minor changes to this class systems, but i am not sure what to expect. I just dislike being able to pick circle 2 classes at rank 6 lol. but this is just my opinion.

Tier in terms of power or rank? Because Krivis’ deal more damage than Druids.

Under the new system, someone who wants to go pyro3-ele3-(insert high rank class) will still have the same issues, so nothing is solved. You already had the option of going psycho to kill those bosses, so allowing cryo does nothing.

There’s no reason not to halt it in a multiplayer game. If xxKirito420xx has to accept a party invitation for one boss, that’s not the end of the world. But why do story bosses need to be immune to fire to begin with? “It’s a fiery monster so it just makes sense”? It makes more sense to bring a party to fight a boss.

You can have just one character instead of two, so if making fewer alts or bringing fewer players to get the important abilities counts as breaking the game, yes.

Lmao how does it make players make fewer alts?. It will make people willing to make more alts because the number of possible combinations have risen, while the “cap”(max rank) has stayed the same.

Does anyone here know how the Koreans feel about monsters absorbing elemental damage instead of reduced damage? Because it does make sense if something is made of said element would heal from elemental damage but seems infuriating as a game mechanic.

Seeing as you can now go full elemental damage, ie. Pyro/Cryo/Elementalist (if the max rank does allow you to be C3 on all 3).

I hope they not against it because that’s an awesome feature. I really hope elemental armors will exist too.

And with character with a Archer C3/Ranger C3/QS C3/ Falconer build, you have a goddamn Anti-crowd bunker build that specialize in taking out ranged enemies who lined up to chase you out from your bunker (Full Draw, Multi Shot, Rapid Shot, High Anchoring, Bounce Shot will be your skills to take out enemies fast, while Heavy Shot, and Stone Shot, and Barrage, and Full Draw with knockback attribute will be your skills to keep enemies out of your bunker). Especially if you’re using max Swift Step and max Running Shot, you can kite them to your bunker or quickly escape from there while still auto attacking them!

Edit: Oh, and don’t forget about Hanging Shot, you can literally get in and out of your bunker or safe zone with both Running Shot and Hanging Shot

There are other bunker builds, which is also present in the old system, the most known one is the QS/Sapper/Falconer build. However, they’re more specialized in taking out melee enemies as Sapper can’t take out enemy that far away except for their Claymore skill

It all doesn’t fall to your builds become weak or not. It simply fall either you want to be diverse or specialize in one task/area.

With the power of love & friendship

she meant “have”… I hope…

OMG! thx XDD thought they only worked on the caster + 1 party member, well you saved me from making a crappy alt xDDD

I think that this was the point that my GF wanted to bring, is the fact that the previous tree had more restrictions, restricted some combinations of skills that you could get, so to compensate for that you “had” to party to get those cool combos (like Krivis Daino and Priest Buffs).

IMHO, the previous system already had lot’s of “Solo” builds, so this just give more options to those kind of players, but it also opens a lot of paths to people who like to play in parties.

The only thing I just hope is that IMC really knows what they are doing and that this doesn’t affect negatively PVP and Crowd vs Crowd in a way that only a few builds are actually viable for those kind of content.

Correct. More good builds & more shitty builds… But you’ll see, for 1 good, we’ll have 10 shitty.
So I’m not sure that we’re winning more than losing like you say…
