@sebastian_sanders199 I’m not sure if you are patronizing me or being sarcastic. Max rank was here before. It was necesary cose devs can’t make infinite number of classes. Only in this no limitation IN CHOSING CLASSES system it became a limitation. And you can easily remove it.
@harimaku this is very poor argument, this is true for only a small number of only swordsman skills
This won’t be in finished game, this is just a way to test the game, not the test the future class system.
If this system would be in finished game this would create much problems for devs, for example:
- There is no way that all the combinations will be even played, let alone tested in CBT (or ever for that matter).
- This would create endless amount of “balancing” work for devs and they don’t want that.
- This would make the idea of hidden classes (which seems like a big deal to devs) obsolute and useless.
For me there is no fun in having infinite possibilities without actual sacrifices. You wouldn’t have to put much tought in class selection with this system. This numerous combinations don’t add anything to game diversity, they just water down everything.
It seems that there is awful lot of whining here. “Oh noes, on rank n the choices don’t suit me at all”… so pick one class and move one, there’s at least 4 more ranks after, others will be better. I don’t like the choices between Squire and Corsair but what the hell, I’d get Squire for that little utility. What’s wrong with Alchemist or Pardoner, count them as life skills ranks and move on. You might as well ask for rank reset cose you didn’t like the class you chose.
Also, even with all those combinations you won’t be happy some studies suggest:
The_Paradox_of_Choice
Does-having-choice-make-us-happy
But in the end this thread is pointless and this post is also pointless cose everyone is just rambling about their own toughts and views and arguing with people with different ideas without actually reading everything they wrote or trying to understand it. We’re all children here no matter how old.
