Musketeer Synergies

I am divided on this exact build and the one I posted above, A2 - R3 - Ro1 - Musket

It’s not that I don’t like (well, I actually don’t), but the main point is that I love muskets. I was a dated player of Granado Espada and Musketeer was the best thing on that game, besides the 11/10 BGM.
I try to play every game I can that pass on that period and ToS is including it with Musketeers, Dragoons (which should be a mounted musket class), SR, Fencers/Corsair combo, and so on.

heres a video of someone playing it if you havent seen it yet. maybe helps you to decide. i mean since sapper-ranger-rogue works so well and fun together with all the combos i would never go full ranger

because his comment was like " i want to do range attack with sword man " what it sounds like a joke

What AoE has anything to do with it?
If I sounded not clear enough then I apologize, but what I did say was that I’ll pick musketeer r7 regardless. Maybe we can build up a perfect cann. build, I’ll take musketeer on my own risk anyway. I’m just asking for help on my way there.

Sounds fun. I’ll look into it.
Is boomtrap realiable even on ET or pvp?

Ty for your input.

just as my previous post musketeer is an burst dmg single target type so most of ppl build with an single target pvp build and you just complain because musketeer lack of aoe.

maybe getting class that have aoe at 1-6 rank will help that “lack of aoe” but it will completely ruin musketeer 's best later

if you was fine with things like jack of all trades then it’s ok. But i think make a class shine with it’s own potential is much better

btw
most popular build right now is

pvp 1 shot skill caster, pve skill caster
archer c2 > ranger c3 > scout > musketeer

pvp, pve aa build
archer c2 > qs c3 > scout > musketeer

pve aa build
archer c3 > qs c3 > musketeer

pve 1 shot circling musketeer (i don’t like it since circling cd is high)
archer c2 > ranger c3 > falconer > musketeer

At 9:42 what was that source of dmg that monsters received after landing?

it’s from the punji stake attribute '‘knockdown damage’'
deals 50% of the punji stake damage

so, what u decided? I’m looking for Pve muskuteer build too :stuck_out_tongue:

Archer - Ranger x2 - Scout - Rogue x2 - Musketeer

how about this?

For while I’m on
A1 - R3 - A2 - Ro 1 - Musk1

The principle of being a high-burst-high-cd appeals me as the weapon is a musket. It’s not a semiauto rifle.

So SteadyAim and Muskts is a good synergy for me.
Then I really like the combo Feint + Barrage, so Rogue enters in.

What is left is Archer c2. I’m on it for Multishot lvl 10 and Swift Step criticals.
Maybe I can change it for Scout, but that doesn’t do any good besides a first surprise attack on PvP.

I can get Rogue first and then Falconer at rank 6, but I don’t like the idea of taking a whole rank just for Circling.

But I can be wrong in many topics., that’s why I’m researching too.

yeah,that Is the question… archer2 vs scout1 :S
archer 2 for swift step critical attribute and multishot mainly vs cloak and flare shot for extra AOE dmg, idk what’s better option for PVE…

can i see you skill simulator build please?

meanwhile

Archer1>Ranger1>Sapper1>Sapper2>Rogue1>Scout1>Musket1

Synergies of Synergies

Pros:
Feint + Barrage Combo.
Capture + Broom Trap or Flare Shot or Both.
(As long as it’s in the capture range)
Flu Flu + Drop Captured skill and/or Actual Sap/Scout skill + Cloaking. (If they have a target or else they’ll just go back to there spot. Flu Flu can only get 10 mobs.)
Musket is… just there for Sniping after Cloaking.
Add Falconer to Rank 8 for more capture viability.
(Captured circling and Snipe AoE)
So you can capture Broom Trap/Flare Shot/Circling

(A Wizard X Archer : ^>) Might as well be a wizard for that matter.

Con:
Get drunk on condensed SP potion but you will still need more.
A nerf will come especially if capture is mentioned.
Too many set-ups.
Cloth as armors.
A 2:1/1:1 SPR:STR Archer

But hey that’s just a Theory! A game-crafting Theory! Thanks for reading.

Demn I hate this that I made-up on-the-fly.

I can´t decide between A2/R2/SC1/RO1 and A2/R3/RO1 or A1/R3/SC1/RO1 :pensive:

I have a Musketeer following A2 R3 Sc1 Musket 1, level 228 now

Snipe damage test:
Context: Snipe level 1, Level 10 attribute, practice musket, 1:1 Str:Dex, rabbit mob at musket master.
Plain: 15,8xx => Crit: 26,xxx
Cloaked: 17,5xx => Crit 27,5xx
Steady Aim lv 15: 19,3xx => Crit 30,xxx
Both: 21,34x => Crit 33,4xx

So yea, dmg increase is good, but some problem sparked up for me:
_Switching weapon cause frame rates drop => discomfort while playing because most of your attacking skill comes from Ranger class, only usable with bows.
_Can’t crit that often due to the lack of Sneak Hit.
_When casting Covering Fire (replace Multi shot for me) and others skill on CD or you just don’t want to switch weapon, you lack 2nd-source damage, basically just stand there.

To answer the question “Which class have the most synergy with Musketeer?”, I’d say Hunter
Hunter class have decrease def, perm CC and increase crit chance all in 1 skill Coursing. Others skill are good too, like Snatching for flying mobs, Retrieve to use in casual training, Growling for group CC, imagine lacking tank but that CC thou! Not to mention all skill don’t require you to use a bow!
But, the class is currently bugged and unreliable, not to mention pet’s AI is stupid, most time it won’t even follow you. ATM, the class is unusable.

Sapper is the same in a sense, but you need good teamwork and planning in order to use it effectively. Also, no CC, no debuff, pure damage.

I’m trying to replace R3/Hunter 3 with Sapper 2 and Rogue 1.

Synergies with musket?

  1. Sapper - because it provides aoes and doesnt limit you to any weapon, so you don’t need to suffer from frame rates drop, while still using musket.
  2. Wugushi - also doesn’t limit your weapon choice and can help deal with several enemies past c2 rank investment.
  3. Hunter - skills are basically attacks made by pet, so your weapon doesn’t matter. It provide extra ability to stun and can help reduce crit rate (by a whooping 40%) on more sturdy enemies (bosses). Harder to level, but does have synergy.
  4. Scout - more pvp oriented synergy. Being invisible allow you to snipe at distance while being unnoticed. A must for real snipers.
  5. Quarrel Shooter - aside from Stone Shot, you can utilize caltrops and pavise to help you in combat. Teardown also work with musket. Note: hardest to level if you won’t pick Stone shot. If you do, however, you will get extra stunning skill, though weapon swaping will be required. You could try to spam stun with Stone Shot and once stun land, use weapon swap and Snipe. Deadly.
  6. Ranger - it provides handy aoes that help in farming many enemies, and to progress faster to higher ranking, but it does come with weapon swap discomfort if you want to suddenly use sniper skills. You could use 2h bow (or crossbow) in normal grind and keep sniper skills for boss fights and pvp. Its quite viable.
  7. Archer - c2 archer to be precise. It gives that awsome crit rate bonus, wich is so lovely for sniper skills. It also have Full Draw wich has 100% chance to pin enemy(/ies) in place for your Snipe (pvp). Multi Shot can be handy if you got vubbe figher gloves or other aoe ratio increase items, as a source of aoe for group grinding, and as afiller to deal dmg to boss while musketeer skills are on cooldown. You do need to swap weapon to do it, but since your musket skills will be on cooldown anyway, why not? You might need some real aoe class in your build togather with archer c2 though.

Adding a bit: Coursing as of now don’t work on bosses, even thou it’s a rank 10 debuff like Joint Penalty and Snatching

I’m a QS3-Musket myself and yes I’m not enjoying this class tree due to lack of AoE. In my own experience if a party doesn’t have a linker you’ll end up being kicked surely.

A1 - R3 - Sc1 - (Ro1)? - Musket
Why would you go Rouge? Opt for A2 instead. Why? Because going c2 will unlock the Swift Step attrib which gives you 25% more crit rate, lvl 10 multi shot which will be nice to have in your arsenal and most importantly the full draw + snipe or full draw + spiral hidden mechanics. EDIT: This is the most common Korean build btw.

Another good class tree is: A3-Sc3-Musket
Upon reaching Scout3 you will unlock the one of the best mobbing skills in Archer tree which is the Split Arrow. So you might ask “why is it good?” Split Arrow hits 3 targets at a time and it has a 0 cd. Some say it’s useless because it is just like an oblique shot but can only hit 3 mobs. I say that’s bull because Split Arrow deals 200% more damage on bounce. Though it’s really hard to level this tree until you reach Scout3.

Another class tree that I’m interested with is: A2-Sapper2-Sc/Ro-Falconeer-Musketeer/Cannoneer
I’m actually making one as I’m trying to test my theory crafted build in a hope that it could be viable both PvE and PvP. Sapper2’s broom trap will be the bread and butter of this tree. Combined with falconeer’s circling then you’ll become on of the most crazy AoE DPS in all Archer builds. But I’m still thinking if I’m opting for Rouge over Scout since it has a skill that can pick up a trap and reuse it later. Which will be vital for sapper as it gives another opportunity to reuse broom trap. But it has a ridiculously long cooldown. While not choosing Scout, then I’ll lose on of the best synergy of Musketeer/Cannoneer and IMO Scout is a must when you go PvP.
