šŸ„ Archer builds/ Skill synergies / Mechanics etc Megathread! šŸ„

I have this one build for archer:

The classes are: Archer -> QS -> Sapper -> Scout.

The idea is total control of the territory around you. Skills that you put on the ground takes priority. You can advance any of the 4 classes that I listed to its C2 or even C3, depends on your preferances, but no other classes or you will be too diverse to be effective.

Unless you can get in and out safely from the battle field, then I suggest to not remove Scout from this build.

I am yet to post any of my complete build, tho, Iā€™m not going to unless I tested it myself.

Interesting, I like the territory control QS provides, its definitely more oriented towards pvp/ mass pvp. Iā€™ll figure my pvp builds after we get to know the rest of the classes and after I test the current mechanics.

A rogue would work well with territory control aswell with feint, lachrymator and stealing circles but its just an opinion - as I didnt get to test it yet either.

Iā€™m sure a cannoneer when it comes could complement that build of yours, you could have your own territory while nuking the bad guys ^^ oh well, thanks for the reply ^^

Iā€™m actually interested a lot in trying out my hunter rogue build with QS providing some territory control / CC, do you think it has any chance of working? Retrieve a guy into your territory while stone shooting him for stun, when it lands go close pet releases the guy position yourself, backstab if not dead rush dog and coursing while loading a multishot? ^^ and of course lachrymator to push people out of position / panic button ^^

i feel like cannoneer will be awesome for every build that isnā€™t using a mounted subclass.
The ability to provide massive nukes on semi-/long cooldowns by simply swapping weapons for a second canā€™t be bad

I am thinking of going archer 2 > hunter 3 > schwarze reiter. I know the hunter class isnt compatible with the schwarze reiter. I chose the schwarze reiter class simply for the ability to mount. I plan on going musketeer at rank 7 and above. What does anyone think?

Sometimes I wonder whats ahead of us ^^ you watch other classes and how easy it is for them to get synergy and then you have archers and youā€™re like wtf, what did we do to deserve this xD

Cannoneer will most likely work great and I have no worries about that - lack of weapon synergy being the only one I think.
But then we will be getting a musketeer. Theres no way thats not a 2h weapon, no wayy. And likely skills with that class as people who played earlier imc games are hinting at is basically a ranged class with rogue kill potential. I just wonder, why rogue then.

And Iā€™m not even going to touch on the fact weā€™ll pbly have to upgrade a couple of weapon sets when other classes will use one ^^

I love archers and I want them to work but the devs seem lost right now when it comes to our class tree :yum:

@version001 I think throwing away a rank is as stupid as it gets. Sorry.

Edit: actually you gave me a brilliant idea, if you take SR and then falconeer - will you be able to mount the falcon and fly around? ^^ that would be hilarious :mushroom:

perma Hanging Shot while still being able to use all skills omnomnom

Ikr? ^^ would be epic ^^

Against ranged enemies, it will perform effectively well. QS practically the bane of Archers in general. (Not Wizard, they can still face-roll on your Pavises.) However, against close range enemies, not so well I guess.

You could rely on Stone Shot and Rush Dog, hoping those two skills to proc stun, but if you want to guarantee rooting enemies, Hunter C3 is best at it with Growling (Itā€™s AoE), but you will have to sacrifice a rank of Rogue for it in the current Rank 6 cap.

Talk about sacrifice, haha.

How is that throwing a rank away? You get to use both sets of skills. And mobility can be pretty useful to get you around, may even be important in PvP while you kite. Use the SR skills and dismount while they are in cooldown. You might as well say the schwarze reiter would be a wasted class since all other classes in the archer tree are unable to attack while mounted.

I would think advancing in both the falconer and SR classes would be more of a waste since they are in the same tier, and that means you would be skipping classes of a higher rank. I donā€™t think you can mount the falcon like you would a regular pet. It has that hanging shot or whatever you call it though.

Other classes can attack, pistol is a subweapon. All skills that work with a crossbow and can be used mounted work with sr.

And I based my comment on you saying youre gonna take it just to ride around so dont blame me ^^

It is not throwing a rank away, but it will be throwing 3 (Hunter) ranks away. You cannot use all Hunter skills whilst mountingā€¦and all Hunterā€™s skills have relatively short cool down. How do you even plan to make any skill combo?

Edit: actually no, they donā€™t add up. The guy has far too much str though xD 2nd backstab for 80k, Nice ^^

Hello there! This thread gave me lots of information about the class Iā€™m gonna play this 27th. I do have some questions though. I hope you can answer, if not all, most of them. Thanks in advance!

So my build is going to be CRIT based in terms of skills, but my main stat is going to be STR, the path Iā€™m hoping to take is Archer > Ranger > Rogue > Schwarzer Reiter (SR).

Archer > Ranger > Rogue classes use bows and crossbows as their main weapons, so I know these classes synergize well without the need to swap weapons to cast a certain skill. However, when I change class to SR, Iā€™m not sure if I will still be able to use my acquired skills from Archer > Ranger > Rogue.

My questions:

  1. Will my Archer > Ranger > Rogue skills still be usable after changing class to SR?
  2. If so, can SRs equip bows and crossbows and attack with them WHILE mounted?
  3. Furthermore, will my SR skills be usable if I equip bows and crossbows?

The main thing Iā€™m looking for here is to be able to use ALL my skills acquired from Archer up until SR without the need to swap weapons.

Now for my last question:

  1. Since my build is focused on the STR stat and CRIT skills for maximum damage, it is very low on accuracy. Do CRIT skills miss? If I have a high critical rate percentage but low accuracy will my skills and normal attacks still hit?

Again, thank you in advance, I know you guys have the answers. I will wait for your awesome responses.

DiskZee has a section that shows which skills will be usable while being mounted as SR, if you are unsure about which skills work with crossbow and pistol, take a look at your skills in the tosbase.com build simulator - the affix ā€œbowand[X]ā€ stands for crossbow + offhand -
any skill that has either no ā€œrequired stanceā€ or has the affix ā€œbowand[x]ā€ will be usable with SR holding Crossbow and pistol.
As far as i know only Fletcher, Quarrel Shooter and Schwarze Reiter(canā€™t use 2hbows) have any restrictions on weapons so far, this will likely change with musketeer and cannoneer.

  1. Crossbows will be SRs mainhand weapon, pistol offhand, SR skills wonā€™t work with 2h bows.
  2. See 1 and 2: SR skill will be usable only with crossbow and pistol right now

as long as you get any dex at all you should be fine with hit, if you find yourself missing the endgame bosses ( by going pure str) you could still substitute dex via gems

really interested in Quarrel Shooter and since this class is not so popular (or even good)

need yā€™all comment on my build, the concept is keep enemy away and machinegunā€™em

the real problem in this build isā€¦in class rank 5, I find only ranger can go well with QS and SR (correct me if Iā€™m wrong)

Hi, since you asked me to post here, here is my build

Id say 1 rank of wugushi or hunter, both good options. I feel that a ranger needs 2-3 ranks to be effective honestly.

Lookout with that stone shot, its going to drain you real bad.

What stats do you see yourself using? For me this is a lot of str and some con type of a build, whats your idea?

Also, a bit of your QS skills dont work while mounted, you sure you want the SR there?

@vpaivabarros Id say as much as detonate is most likely going to be a fun skill to use ( explosing a safety zone from under a cleric anyone? ^^) I think your bread and butter is and will be claymore. I saw a guy with 450 strength, 1000 physical attack. That would translate to + 1350 damage from str + skill damage +physical attack + some other modifiers for the damage - defense of course. Either way, youd gain a lot of damage if you went more into claymore and lower detonate, just an idea.

Same as above, watch out with stone shot and oblique shot on low levels, you will drain yourself.
Edit: also, take teardown, even if only at lvl 1. A panic button is always nice, and this one has a nice knockback.

Then this build compliments your build better, in my opinion:

Full Draw lvl 7 for quick skewing enemies, Multi Shot to bursting enemies. Use Running Shot and simply Auto Attack is great while still able to move, and you can use Limacon when Running Shot is in cooldown to attack enemies while still moving too.

Yes, Deploy Pavise and Teardown wonā€™t work while mounting, I know that well. However, sometimes you will want to settle down, either to take cover behind your Pavise, or simply to destroy those obstructions with Teardown.

Edit: I tend to leave spammable skills with 0 CD at level 1 to lessen the SP burden. However, I increase its damage via attribute instead of skill points.

Im pretty sure you cant use running shot while mounted either :camel:

If thatā€™s true, then I could only see QS to synergize with Rogue and Sapper well enough, but not with other classes, at least not as good as he will be with them.
