šŸ„ Archer builds/ Skill synergies / Mechanics etc Megathread! šŸ„

Thanks laj, i’ve been toying with the thought of playing wugushi for a while now, but nothing fit until i looked closer at your hunter, the pet gives me exactly what i need in terms of cc/ time to setup aoes and everything works perfectly with 2hbows, thanks for the inspiration!

i feel the decision between wugu vs fletcher will be moot with rank 7 unless there is some extremely good new class, since fletcher is extremely awesome and very worth taking to Circle 2.
thinking about going for a 3str/ 2 Dex/ 1 Con ratio statwise

Hello. This is my second roguelike build (cuz first one got a cactus)

Is similar to the Typical Rogue Build with some changes.

Didn’t put vendetta because depends on killing a target for the buff. And in boss battles i think this will be unreliable.
Lots of utility, good damage and survivability .
In case of more party oriented,

For using the vendetta buff and feint utility

@sobienski, you already nailed most of the AoE skills in your build.
+1 for High Anchoring
+1 for Claymore
+1 for Broom Trap
+1 for Bounce Shot

Solid AoE, but a bit lacking in single target. Other skills are your preferences, but I suggest take some single target skills. Spiral Arrow is a good candidate for single target skills, and so is Barrage (but you already get it, altough it’s mostly single target for close large enemies)

My thoughts are similar to Ltb, your AoE is strong but your single target is very weak - on top of which you didn’t take swift step so mobbing might just be a painful experience.

No idea how it pans out. Did you consider getting some wugushi for single target and aoe instead of the 2 additional ranger ranks? Or a fletcher? Not dissing your build, just genuinely wondering.

In all honesty? You improved your build very fast, to the point I have nothing to add in the first build. Wouldn’t change a thing. Second one works great aswell. Both builds have synergy, have an idea behind them and you seem to know what you’ll be doing with them too. +1.

One idea I will give you - though I wouldn’t necessarily change the builds - is that backstab might actually benefit from full draw if it works the same way in group pvp as it does in pve. If you can catch two enemies with it together - you could potentially deal damage to both with one backstab due to skew. Would I invest more points into it then? Honestly, not really, unless it proves to be very valuable. You still can make it work with the skill being on level 7 while keeping the utility of insta casting a knockback.

No cactuses today sir, you have earned your mushroom! :mushroom:

So, i was trying to do a build that can do a good AoE dmg and some good dmg to bosses… and i did this:

I have some doubts… like,
-u said that archar no longer need c2 to get the critical bonus from swift step… is that right?
-i dont know if its really worth detonate traps on 5, i’d like ur opinion
-and finally, ash wood for broom trap is hard to drop? is it expensive to buy?

thx for your help.

ps: sorry my bad english, i tried my best :D.

  • Archer still need to go to C2 to get the critical bonus, unfortunately. But you get the quick charge for Multi Shot for going Archer C2, right?
  • According to ToSBase, Detonate traps doesn’t increase the count of trap you will detonate, so I don’t think it’s worth it to invest 5 point into - 1 point is enough, especially to clear up those pesky Boss Traps.
  • Ash Wood is pretty easy to get as far as I remember. If you can’t get it in Sapper’s Class Master, then you can get it in Dievdirbys Class Master. Also, I remember IMC put a material merchant NPC that stocks on material for all the classes in Klaipeda, don’t know if it’s still there or not.

Yeah that was an older post of mine that I forgot to correct on the swift step part. He has 2 archer circles anyhow so i guess its fine either way.

@fglsm10 ill take a look when Ill have the time

thx man. about the build, any good? thanks for ur time

I’m not the correct person to ask about builds and else. Why? Because I have the tendency to build my character far apart from the common builds that results to my build become frowned upon.

P.S: Until they realized that my build is superior than theirs that is :triumph:. When that happen, I’ll bandwagon to other underdog classes with wierd cliche skills. (Joke mostly, but I’m serious)

I have a couple of questions. Is Vendetta still good without a source of bleed? And is there anything I can mix with Quarrel Shooter c3 to make it work well? I was thinking of using the pavise as a way to get enemies stuck in caltrops and lachrymator. Would vendetta and rapid fire work well enough as single target?

I guess it just comes down to: Does Quarrel Shooter mesh well with Rogue? I’m going to haphazardly try and make Quarrel Shooter work but that will probably take a ton of experimenting.

People take Vendetta not for its damage, but for the STR buff it gives. In party play, you have to coordinate with your party member on which weakened mob that you’re going to cast Vendetta on - That, in itself, is already a pain since Vendetta has a cast time, a long one.

Common class builds for Rogue are:

  • Archer C3 -> Scout -> Rogue: Full Draw, Multi Shot, and Camouflage
  • Archer -> Quarrel Shooter C3 -> Rogue: Deploy Pavise, Stone Shot, Rapid Shot, and Running Shot

Take note:

  • Stone Shot’s stun probability isn’t 100%, don’t expect too much from it, but once it procs, you can safely get close to your enemy.
  • Rapid Shot resembles Multi Shot, but you aren’t rooted in one place and can still charge Rapid Shot in running speed.

Other skills are pretty straightforward I guess.

Lower detonate to 1 in sapper, move more into stockade.

Archer counterpart looks good.

As to fletcher I’m not sure but I shared my views on it already in the topic so if you like it leave it, if you want to compare/ see a different opinion scroll up.

@slots Id say QS -> rogue is a good combo you just have to realize its a different approach to the class.

Scout rogues are people that will generally be invisible and try to get that backstab in and being sneaky.

QS rogues are more about territory control that punish enemies heavily if engaged in meele.

Levelling might be hard for a QS but it is worth a try.

about stockade, can i do that? can i stack points? or do i need to spend all the 15 points to get to another rank?

edit: about the fletcher, i was thinking on broadhead 10/10 to let the boss bleed and put out some dmg while i autoatack… i would like your opinion about it. thx

You can stack points as long as you use them for the same class so sapper c1/c2 are fine but you cant use sapper points on say fletcher ^^

@Ltb_regen I wouldnt mind seeing some of those brilliant builds of yours, sharing is caring :yum:

@cosx774 schwarzer Reiter doesn’t really mesh well with scout, last time i looked it up, you couldn’t use any skills from scout while mounted and deploy pavise doesn’t work with SR either

I have this one build for archer:

The classes are: Archer -> QS -> Sapper -> Scout.

The idea is total control of the territory around you. Skills that you put on the ground takes priority. You can advance any of the 4 classes that I listed to its C2 or even C3, depends on your preferances, but no other classes or you will be too diverse to be effective.

Unless you can get in and out safely from the battle field, then I suggest to not remove Scout from this build.

I am yet to post any of my complete build, tho, I’m not going to unless I tested it myself.

Interesting, I like the territory control QS provides, its definitely more oriented towards pvp/ mass pvp. I’ll figure my pvp builds after we get to know the rest of the classes and after I test the current mechanics.

A rogue would work well with territory control aswell with feint, lachrymator and stealing circles but its just an opinion - as I didnt get to test it yet either.

I’m sure a cannoneer when it comes could complement that build of yours, you could have your own territory while nuking the bad guys ^^ oh well, thanks for the reply ^^

I’m actually interested a lot in trying out my hunter rogue build with QS providing some territory control / CC, do you think it has any chance of working? Retrieve a guy into your territory while stone shooting him for stun, when it lands go close pet releases the guy position yourself, backstab if not dead rush dog and coursing while loading a multishot? ^^ and of course lachrymator to push people out of position / panic button ^^
