So how about going with this build? I figure sapper AoE and utilities can scale better if Iām planning on using Musketeerās skill as the main damage source late game, and Cloaking to install traps seems fun! The main point of playing games to me is to have fun anyway!
Will be harder to get the white hair color though (i think itāll be easy game for Fletcher since it require some amount of crafting, and Fletcher crafts arrows all the time)
Hard to say how worth Sapper3 is at the moment and its usefulness will probably rely on what we get in r7/8 compared to rogue/SR. Sapper 3 seems good, but broom trap and Collar Bomb are plenty strong with Sapper2, I donāt believe for those they need more scaling from Sapper3, and arrow trap at least what Iāve seen of it ingame and in an analysis someone posted, doesnāt look to be super amazing given the cooldown.
The only thing Iād change skillwise is to consider that the kneeling shot +DEX/etc working on sapper traps deployed (changing your damage formula overall and not just kneeling shot damage) is very possibly a bug with the way it was programmed, so while swift step, oblique and 5 points in multishot will definitely be relevant for a long time kneeling shot will probably not be in this case. Your actual sapper and scout skill options look good too.
For fletcher white hair is definitely easy, but for others just save up the proper mats and get the recipes in fedimian (no longer available in first town)
Go sapper 2 rogue 2. Great combination of aoe and single target, easily strongest combo currently available too.
Plus, capture works on everything on the floor in the same spot even on level one, it doesnāt seem like levelling it changes anything.
Thanks for the very detail feedback XD~
In my mind it progress like this:
1 character have 10 ranks and each job has 3 circle, so it may goes like job 1 c3, job 2 c3, job 3 c3 and an āultimateā job for rank 10, not sure, just imagining. But if it is, then in rank 7 I want to acquire my core job, which is Musketeer, to get full c3 before that ultimate.
That leaves me with rank 1 - 6 to think about, which is not a whole lot of options:
Archer 2 circle, crit buff; Scout circle 1 only for Cloaking: these are musts for me.
Since Musketeerās single burst might be as good as the Archer tree can get, for the remaining 3 ranks, my aim is to get the āAoE grinding methodā down in these ranks (I want to enjoy my game, not grinding my days off) , and seems like Sapper is the only valid option.
I know that this is trading away Fletcherās DoT and remove defense utilities, but Broom Trap and Collar Bomb is worth it IMO. Collar Bomb on lv 10 can deal 12xx skill damage according to the simulator, which is on pair with Barbed Arrow lv 10 too.
p/s which recipe are you talking about? I started to play late so maybe i havenāt reached that area yetā¦
When you get to Fedimian there are some low level recipes to make things like mucus or Florr, they are very easy
To give you an idea you can make āFlorrā out of 4 Crystal Spider Feelers + Florr Recipe (55 silver).
One important thing when going for this is even if youāre a fletcher it only counts how many times you chose to craft not how many items, so you canāt set it to make 100 and walk away ,you have to make them 1 by 1.
Thatās a noteworthy idea, I love Vendetta. However, as I said I have 3 ranks to think of (beside 3 musts for me), so canāt really do Sapper2 AND Rogue2. Sapper 2 and Rogue1 maybe?
Hereās the example build, Iām concerning about whether to get Rogue at rank 5 or 6? Because I donāt think Cloaking is gonna be that much relevant below Musketeer since most of out burst skills are multi-hit after all
And iām if iām gonna do this iām gonna take @penetrosity word for it that Broom and Collar at circle 2 is good enough
Thanks so much, thereās hope for me XD~
does wugushi poison got canceled if the opponent eat an antidote?
that thing have 0 cooldown, so if players can just eat antidote whenever a wugushi poisoning them⦠then doesnt that mean wugushi is totally broken?
delete them from archer tree?
Well, to be fair, I donāt think Wugushi is made for PvPā¦
AoE DoT is great for group of mobs, and DoT overall is good DPS for bosses too. For wider purposes Wugushi can cure poison and apply poison to alliesā weapon. Overall itās a DPS-Support class designed for PvE (as indicated by its classā icon), at least I think so?
And honestly, I think they do have a place in the Archer tree for people who prefer that play style.
so youre confirming this thing beat wugushi?

welp, going for another class i think, lel
but still, 0 cooldown is kinda lame
well I didnāt say ābeatā, the game is still developing, and drugs cost money, anticipation, not to mention maybe in PvP they will omit the potion use later down the line, who knows.
If you enjoy playing it, play it, if not, switch, itās not a life or dead decision, try to have fun man!
Hi, idk where to post this, sorry if I post in wrong place. I have a problem with Archer path. Sometimes when I attack while moving, the character shoots 2 times but there is just 1 arrow shot out. Itās just like 2 attacks but only 1 count for damage. When I stand and attack, it doesnāt happen. Idk if this is a bug or an internet problem. All other class paths, I can play smoothly. Thanks.
I donāt know if this has been mentioned before, but if you use full draw and skew together 2 mobs and afterwards you follow up with bounce shot, you will get 8 bounced arrows per use, not just 4!! Similar thing happens with oblique shot on skewed mobs, you get 4 hits and not just 2!
Iāve never had good use of full draw as it seems hard to get it to line up right and almost always fails the skew for me, but this is pretty great news, thank you very much for sharing!
Do you have any idea if it works on stone shot as well?
Do people hate critical shot? If yes, why?
Also bout the critical chance, is it flat 50% increase or 50% of your current critical rate. It does say critical chance not critical rate. Anyone? Thanks
As an archer you will already crit 40-60% of the time by level 200, even with little to no stat points invested into dexterity, as long as you have good gear and lvl 5+ green gems in your weapons so investing in critical shot is counterproductive, since you will naturally have high critical rate if you are building to maximize damage output.
There is also no good reason to invest in critical shot because there are other 0 cooldown skills such as heavy shot, split shot, oblique shot, which perform and scale much better than critical shot.
(Critical shot costs more sp than all of the other 0 cooldown archer skills mentioned above, yet it does the least overall damage, has the least utility, and scales the worst.)
What counts as a good gear for archer? Also how much level 5 green gems give for crit? This is with no buffs right?
This is assuming you are level 200, when you are leveling you didnāt need to gear that much for cbt2 except for a good weapon + 5-10 enhance.
At level 200, with no gear you will have a base critical rate of 50
It takes about 200 critical rate at level 200 to critical attack 40-60% at the time, given current way stats work
Green lvl 5 gems give 22 critical rate for main hand and 26 or so critical rate for offhand. ( I forget the exact values but this is close) - it cost about 200-300k to make one lvl 5 gem on my server by buying monster gems
Most bows have 2 gem slots so put 2 green gems in (refine them from alchemist to remove negative effect if you can afford)
lvl 5 green gems x 2 sockets = 22 critical rate x 2 = 44 critical rate
If you use crossbow and offhand, you can use 3 green gems in total. (2 sockets for mainhand, 1 for offhand )
lvl 5 green gems x 3 sockets = 22 critical rate x 3 = 66 critical rate
Get weapons that give dexterity, there are a handful from 170+ that give 8-10+ dexterity = 8-10+ critical rate
So for example - say you are level 200 with karacha dagger and some random crossbow
base crit rate at lvl 200 = 50 critical rate (0 silver)
2 lvl 5 green gems in crossbow = 44 critical rate (400-600k silver)
1 lvl 5 green gem in dagger = 26 critical rate (200-300k silver)
1 karacha dagger = 11 dex = 11 critical rate (600-800k silver)
(optional) awaken karacha dagger = + 20 critical rate (400-500k silver)
(50)+(44)+(26)+(11)+(20) = 151 critical rate
0 + (400-600) + (200-300) + (600-800) + (400-500) = 1.6 million - 2.3 million silver
By investing only around 2 million silver, you can already achieve 150 critical rate with 0 stat points invested into dex. And that is with just gems and awakened karacha dagger. When you add in dex/critical rate bonuses from armor and accessories , you will be much higher.
Donāt count any awakenings they will all change (already have on korean version).
That said with the gems and such thatās already a big chance, I also wouldnāt count the karacha because youāll find better stuff later for other reasons most likely.
Thatās still 120 for not much investment
Archers is DEX + [Level/5]
Your aim of Critical Chance is probably going to be 90% (I donāt think anyoneās found the exact ācapā yet but doesnāt seem to be 100%)
This means your goal Critical Rate (AFTER removing Critical Resistance of mob) is 210 (209.7)
Subtract: 40 (Level/5)
Subtract: 44 (2x L5 green gems in crossbow
Subtract: 26 (L5 green gem in dagger)
Add: 38 (Critical Resistance average around Lvl 200 areas Bavon: 30, Haze: 71, Saltisdaughter Magician: 20 Lemur: 31)
210 - 40 - 44 - 26 +38 = 138
The only dex needed here becomes
This means you need 138 DEX to get that point.
Below this line is only for people with Swift Step attribute.
If you are ArcherC2+ consider Swift Step adds 25% to ally our critical rate. Easier to just divide the end result by 1.25 to get the idea, so the goal is 168 pre-Swift Step
168 - 40 - 44 -26 + 38 = 96
With Swift Step you only need 96 DEX to hit this 90% chance on those monsters around that level.
If you keep in mind that most people can get L5 gems easily and at 200 youāre more likely if serious about it to get L6-7 gems you can bring that number a lot lower.
L7 Green Gem Main weapon is 44 EACH (88 in the formula)
This alone would bring your
168 - 40 (Level) - 88 (2x L7 green on Main) - 57 (1x L7 on Dagger) + 38 = 21 DEX required
Do keep in mind however that dex also provides you with Evasion which is very useful.
This does make critical shot pretty underwhelming, as well as most critical gear since other weapon gems are underwhelming
According to stats page on tos wiki 1 DEX = 1 critical rate, I donāt believe this is true but I canāt login at the moment to test. Iāll edit this if I get information otherwise!
You know, I always heard that you should use crit damage gems instead since dex is good for defense as well as damage.
Gem refining kinda fixes it, but its also notable that green gems lower your base damage.
Dex also generates Accuracy, which isnāt important now (outside pvp) but might be really useful later on.
