Lack of trading system IS CRIPPLING THE GAME

It apparently stops RMT.

It doesn’t actually though. Only the most guillible believed IMC’s reasoning for having it.

Yeah not really buying IMC’s reasoning for trade restrictions beyond wanting to make tokens that much more appealing. I think the RMT excuse is weak, poorly researched and a bunch of crap to be quite honest.

How about just not requiring trade recipients to have a token? That way, if I want to trade, I’ll need a token. But non-paying players should still be able to trade as long as a paying player deals with them.

I know this may give rise to “middleman services” and maybe scam headaches but it will still generate some $$$ for IMC while watering down the trade restrictions a bit.

Not good enough. Tokens should be able to stand on their own. I don’t think trading should be bundled at all.

I just wanted to be an Alchemist and make potions for my boyfriend and friends but now i’m sad cause they can’t receive my love in vials. :sob:

Not good. Trion Worlds did that with Devillian along with a 5$ paywall for trade and the forums were filled with complaints just like here (or worse). Bots still went around and through the paywalls, by the way…

I was just trying to work around what they already have and wouldn’t let go

Thats some awesome stupid restriction , we are in a MMO so let us interact with player .

Imagine watching SAO and Kirito couldn’t trade his Ragout Rabbit to Asuna because he didn’t have a token. Date screwed

If people accept that, it might just happen. The current trade is so bad i would guess people would just take any small improvment over none. But i honestly hope the forum users wont fall for cheap tricks and illusions.

Anyway, any form of artificial restriction and limitation only breeds toxic behavior and unhealthy communities, because good willed legit players will be blocked off while players that dont mind to abuse the systems and manipulate other people get ahead.

Yeah, we need the problem fixed, not filled with ducktape.

Lets sign the petition and show IMC that we want a free trade system !!!

System is terrible, period

The fact that there are classes in the game who are based around trading means you can not inhibit trading at all or you ruin those classes. fletchers? alchemists? and who knows what else are destroyed by this system. remove it.

It’s a huge issue and it’s more than just trade.

Auction House Number of Listings
The biggest issue is the amount of items you can list on the auction house. I’ve seen other games where it was anywhere from 30 to 150 items (the latter being a player with 5 trade guilds in ESO, each of which allows 30 listings).

In other F2P games like TERA, the completely free players would get 10 listing, “Founders” - the equivalent of anyone here who purchases a DLC on Steam - gets 30, and Subscribers (Token users) get 50.

That seems reasonable to me. We need to be able to sell the vast majority of our items on the marketplace. Only a handful of completely worthless junk items should be sold to vendors. Even cheap items are needed by other players. But when you can only sell 1 or 5 items at a time, people aren’t willing to use up their precious slot with something that isn’t worth a ton.

Auction House Tax
Beyond that, the tax difference is a problem. I will again use TERA’s example - listing fee of 5% for any non-token users(So DLC pack owners as well as free players), and an additional 15% fee taken only once your item sells for non-token users, with 10% for token users. That again, seems fair to me. There’s a definite benefit there to being a token user - no listing fee, meaning no risk for listing a bunch of crap that may not sell, and additional savings once you do sell. But it still doesn’t cripple free users.

All in all both of those ideas would make for a much healthier economy for all players. That encourages more people to play.

Player to player trade and rolling for loot
Further, if they want to do without player to player trade for non-token users I can get behind that, only if they have a decent workaround. I would suggest adding in standard party shared loot rolling options. Instead of individual or round robin, let us play it like any other game, where all dropped items are shared by the party and we can roll need/greed/pass, letting our friends take the items they actually need. Further, let us refine it so items of lesser value or junk aren’t rolled on, unless players are farming certain items and really want to roll on them.

You sir, don’t have enough Likes on this post.

I do not believe there are still people defending imc … they heard us once, we can make them listen to us again !!!

Their anti-bot strategies are working IMO, I haven’t seen any megaphone spams of gold selling at all. But then again, what do I know, I’m actually blind.
