Lack of trading system IS CRIPPLING THE GAME

Trade system is a social feature. If you limit to token:

  • Level -80 can’t farm silver for token.
  • Casual players can’t get token with silver (majority of the server and because they are slow players and don’t want benefits like dungeon entrance from token or more marketplace slots).

No trade, losing potential in every item transaction, no team storage etc.

For a single player experience I don’t play ToS.
This is what people think and this is why all complain.

Western players are muuuch more social than korean players.
IMC should understand this.

Trading should be kept behind the paywall, I have seen the least spammers in ToS comparing it to other games ive seen out there. If you want to help your friends, help them grind silver by partying with them and grinding.

Item wise, i get the fact that you want to help your friend get items in dungeons, this is fair. But honestly, whats more fair is that you actually support the game buy purchasing a token if you want that feature.

Cosmetics alone will not provide profit, How many players have actually bought anything cosmetic from the TP store? Look around, most people are using their own class costumes, why would they need to buy costumes from the shop? Buy tokens. Gives you a decent amount of benefits, and lets you trade.

Well, im always paying for something in game what i like - and i dont mind to pay in ToS for something, if i like game - i like to give my money for devs. But we are talking not about money. We are talking about weird artificial restrictions to combat bots and gold sellers. Bots and gold sellers still here and restrictions for ALL players still here.

Your arguement is completely flawed.

You should look at the statistics for F2P Gamers. Only 2%-12% of the population actually pay for anything, and the reason your so called ‘mobas’ actually make money, is because their playerbase is Over 1Million.

ToS has a current playerbase of about 20,000. so whats 2-12% of that?

Ive seen so many people argue that “cosmetics” alone will support a game. ONLY if your game has a playerbase over 100K then id say this is possible, buf if not, you’re delusional to think that cosmetics will be the way to make profit.

F2Ploaders are the ones who really kill games. Want to know why? Because they play the game, don’t put any money into it, and they’re just adding to overhead costs of the server.

Cash whales are the ones who support the game, and those dedicated players who actually purchase ingame items. So i have no sympathy for F2Ploaders, until you become someone who is supporting the game, then in theory they owe you nothing and your complaints should remain unheard.

I very much like how you said “if you like something you’ll give your money to support devs” This is the sort of player who is worth listening to.

Kors, I do believe that the way they have structured the paywall is a good thing, ToS has the least spammers ive seen in an mmo in a long long long time, and i really hope it stays that way.

What i would like to see is the price of the token reduced, rathar than having trading taken off the paywall. Make it more affordable is a great idea, but keep it behind that little bit of premium so that the server stays clean

It does, and you have dozens of examples in the market.

Anyway:

Barely the same price lol.

And you are incredibly wrong. Many more people will buy cosmetics than Token. (In any game there are lot of more casual players than “hardcore” players)

You are new in free to play games?
Only in pay to win games people buy more usable items than cosmetics.

Of course trade should be enabled and unlimited for everyone. Like every other game in the market.
If games with even 8 years in the market don’t die, ToS will not do.

All the time the same empty arguments.

:joy: you can’t be serious.
The least spammers the third day on a buy to play game (for now) when the first day was unplayable. And even with this shout is dominated by goldsellers :joy:

Fanboy?

There are spammers i see one maybe every 2 hours. Blocked and never to be heard from again. You want to play the comparison game, then go look at BnS, MS and FFXIV NA servers.

You wanna see games that don’t have so many? BDO, TD, Destiny. Wanna know why? Trading was killed off to the extent those spammers could do nothing but grasp at straws.

Putting a paywall on trading was the best thing this game could have done.

You want to claim that pure cosmetics can support the game alone?

Provide statistical data in which a game with less than 100K players survives on purely cosmetics. When you provide this, then your argument will have merit. Until then your argument is empty. Your points are flawed and prove no more than a F2Ploader should not be listened to.

I didn’t want to enter an empty discussion again, but you are the one that brought statistics into this, you have the burden of proof. Maybe you should start there. Also going to ignore the rest of your dumb comparisons and poor interpretations.

Sorry last time I checked FFXIV had minimal gil selling spam you ■■■■■■■ wheelchair.
On top of that, the game has an amazing economy with 100% free trade.

BnS has free trade. FFXIV too (I don’t know what is MS).

BDO has an unique trade system as a reward in towns. Nothing related to any other mmorpg. So, bad example.
And Destiny is an Activision crap. Of course there are bad choices in the market, versus an immense majority of good choices.

Why, you can argue why? I don’t think so. Trade of items only has nothing to do with gold sellers.

See Smite, League of legends or Path of Exile.

See above. (They started too with low population, and low population = less servers, less cost).

And again, there is tons of mmorpg games in the market with trade and good health. This is enough to remove any argument against trade

I don’t want you to think i’m saying you are wrong, but Destiny isn’t even an MMO, its just a Multiplayer Online game, just like Warframe.

Yes you are right. Is a bad comparison anyway.

I’m sorry but this is a profoundly ignorant question. IMC will be getting all the support they need and they already are and I am one of those supporters. This does not mean they need to do such a harmful thing like get rid of such a core mechanic like trading, and it is even limited to 30 trades for premium users…

Tree of Savior was a mmorpg developed by koreans for koreans.

This international version sold more than 100k of founder packs.
If all were packs of 10 $, 100k x 10 = 1.000.000$ to start IToS. (probably this amount x2 or x3) (At the same time kToS is online in korea with cash shop, token etc).

IMC brought to the western market their korean game, with a translation made BY THE COMMUNITY, and published by VALVE (Steam).

Poor IMC eh?
Of course they need to abuse of players removing core features as trade and shared storage… (auction house, loss of potential, etc etc)
This pisses me off

-put trade behind paywall

-paywall is 18$ per month

-only 30 times

you see now why korean player is mad and why they need to sell “founder package” so badly

In the worst scenario trade should be sold as an extra service for a one time payment of 5$.
This is doing Trion Worlds for their games. 5$ payment to be a verified account and you can trade in ALL of their games. (And you can trade to non-verified accounts)

If the company ban a gold seller, gold seller should pay again.

Way to miss the point completely. This is feeling like the three month Founder’s Pack all over again. Are people this dense?

Liked the topic, completely agreed. Trade restriction is worst economy design decision ever.
I’am not gonna play after this month if they leave things like that, since this trade system = no future to the game.

I can only sell 1 item on the MB. Trading system is ■■■■.
