The inevitable conclusion of the vaivolra lv 2 system.

Max lv 10 VV, with lv 5 and 10 being the additional modifier to the skill effect or straight boost.

Then like seal, it will take 2 lv 2 seals to make lv 3 and so on.

Wait a minute. Don’t both Ripper and Rubric benefit from this set?

Rubric yes, but I’m pretty sure ripper functions like hoplite stabbing meaning you spam the key not hold it therefore to u would not deal bonus dmg

For Ripper and Stabbing you CAN hold the key down, you just dont have to, so idk if it’ll work.

I don’t see how an “oversight” this case, whereby it completely trivializes the encounter by lowering the bosses attack to an abnormally low amount can be considered ok for people to continue to abuse.

Does a bug abuse have to break the economy for it to be taken away from the abuser? Say you found a bug that let’s you +40 all your items but makes the item unmarketable or tradeable. Would the devs let you keep it? It wouldn’t affect the economy as you couldn’t sell or trade it.

Imagine being a party trying to get server first against this party who used this bug. How disappointed would you be that the devs allowed something like this. It’s clearly not the intent of the encounter nor even remotely close as it trivialized it such that they even made a post detailing it. I think it’s just the wrong way to go about this and sets bad precedent for future decision making on how they handle these kinds of situations.

I agree, and it discredits any future challenge in the game, because the correct way to win is to find a way to abuse it rather than overcoming the challenge the intended way.

I think they put themselves in a corner when they announced they were removing it without fully understanding the details of the clear. At this point, if they said they were keeping their decision even after the details came to light, they would have gotten a lot of community backlash. It’s even worse now that they’re changing it, so the group that abused it and got their clear(s) did so easily while future clears will be harder on everyone.

This isn’t the first time it has happened though. The first clear of Skiaclipse in KR was done by rotating pass and Mackangdal for full invulnerability while ignoring all of the mechanics. That was also nerfed promptly afterward and IMC let them keep those titles too.

Even indirectly, the growing number of very expensive, hard to obtain items locked behind long grindwalls and RNG that provide a lot of power just reward those that exploit the systems in place. The extreme abuse of alt accounts, the Turn Undead DCP strategies, the RMT, the botting, the exploits to obtain high end items (LV10 Legend Card)… IMC does not take an active stance against preventing or fixing these behaviors, and those that abuse them benefit now more than ever compared to those that do not. When the BIS gear is so expensive and hard to obtain, and provides so much more power, just simply having it puts you above and beyond to a point where others have no hope of reaching besides grinding for a multitude more amount of hours compared to those that abused these tactics. IMC seems intent on trying to have a full BIS character be a completely unreasonable or unachieveable goal, between items like Karaliene, Boruta Seal 5, Ark 10, Vaivora Lv2+, Legend Card 10 (before exploits), etc.

I do not find the “competition” at that point to be anywhere close to a fair playing field, and it reaches into the same kind of problem outlined here. Almost of all the end game content is either a competition, or extremely rewarding if you already have a high amount of power, causing those who are already ahead to just snowball further. Content like CM10, Singularity 5, Glacier Hard, Field Bosses, and Weekly Boss Raid are extremely difficult yet reward players who are already geared with even more money and items to become even stronger. Heaven forbid you also don’t play the current meta build(s) dictated by IMC, it will only be even harder on you.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who has been at this top tier of gearing for a very long time… I can easily still be, but I do not find this grind enjoyable anymore, and even “winning” in this sense simply by being so ahead of the curve just feels like terrible design and unrewarding, especially when there are others exploiting the game to get everything you do faster and easier.

The amount of content and item and currency/fragment bloat is pretty overwhelming. What’s IMC’s fascination with having so many different types of items and fragments of things just to make an item that is basically another fragment or sub material for something else.

Vaivora synthesis is also such a garbage system, why is the resulting vaivora random? People haven’t even found one vaivora and they expect people to get 3 to reroll to a random one. Jesus.

Having a +40 has a permanent effect that will create a ripple to all contents. Things get nerfed/readjusted all the time if they have too powerful effect. Doesn’t mean it has to be an abuse.

How is this any different from Vaivora Spear having full 12sec of Rete on bosses and people farming DCP 11 using Turn Undead? Heck using the same logic, even dodging OHKO mechanics using iframes is also bug abuse.

The damage reduction wasn’t even an glitch/bug. The devs simply failed to realize they need to put a cap on it. Come on, they even admit that the mechanics damage is tied up to the boss damage. (why even design it like that?)

Are there actual human beings in korea that want these patches?

Still, i’m still confused about what will be the gear for GTW. Or even if they expect people to farm an entire year their gear just so they can release another 7 extra Legendary that will make all your past effort go to the void.

How does clearing content in the game that no one else can by using these “oversights” that diminishes any actual threat not ruin the economy either? They are the only party with access to the loot because they found and abused an oversight.

In Wow back in WotLK, the world first Lich King kill came from a guild who used items to bypass a gimmick and in Blizzards’ words “which greatly decreased the difficulty of the encounter”. It was an oversight by the developers and they quickly patched it along with that the guild was 72hr banned, world first revoked, and items revoked.

I’m not saying they should be banned. But the server first clear and items should be revoked.
