i have a question for Crevox. So with the new update of the summoner will it be better to use panto / skia / boruta card or Frosten Lord? I’m beginning to fear that I brought it to 6 for nothing.
It was a temporary measure to ensure no other party clear would grant another set of titles until they gave back the first clear title to those they removed it from. This prevents two parties from having the first clear title.
They haven’t said anything about fixing the mechanics, but I would not be surprised if the strategy gets nerfed in some way. They’ll likely introduce a cap on reducing attack / damage of bosses, while also nerfing some of the skills/attributes that are providing a very high amount (Rubric: Corruption).
Based on what IMC has said so far, Skiaclipse Card won’t work, since it doesn’t provide a % damage bonus, but the Attack vs Insect stat.
The other cards do work, and testing would likely be required to come to a clear conclusion. However, I don’t think Froster Lord would be a bad decision, as summons have a very wide attack range, and increasing attack stat is very potent compared to another % damage modifier (which summons do still have a lot of even after this change, mitigating the usefulness of the other cards a bit).
Oh no, I understand it was temporary. My comment was more a slight to the developers and their team. Basically questioning their decision making in regards to this. I haven’t played an game where a clear reward was still granted to a group that performed the encounter in a manner that bypassed what the encounter was intended. Even an oversight by the developers or a bugged mechanic.
I have always seen them disable the encounter and/or taken the reward away while a fix/change was made for it to perform as intended.
This, to me, sets precedent that you can just find any unintended mechanic/bug/oversight/interaction and abuse it before they fix it. Once again, I am completely boggled by the dev’s decision making.
But using that philosophy, you can say the same about current Ein Sof, since according to the dev’s blog/patch notes a few weeks ago, it wasn’t intended to use the final HP recovery value as its base.
Exactly, at what point does it become against the terms of service and at what point is it just an oversight by the devs that should be fixed and move on. They have been inconsistent to say the least in this regard in many situations that have arisen in the past.
But in either case, you shouldn’t keep your rewards.
I’ve played a lot of games in the past and most oversights on boss behavior/AI were considered by the general community as mechanics. Some of them gets patched out, some stay, but it’s rare for the rewards to get rolled back unless it’s breaking the game’s economy.

The new NPC in town lets you combine 3 of any Vaivora weapon and you will get 1 random Vaivora weapon in return.
She also lets you combine 2 of the same exact Vaivora weapon (or ichor), alongside a special new material called a “Vaivora Polishing Stone”, to upgrade it to a “Level 2 Vaivora.” This increases all of the stats of your Vaivora weapon. The polishing stone is a random drop from Challenge Mode stage 6-10.

I appreciate the effort of adding new stuff to the game, but I’d also like to see the things they indicated in the 2020 roadmap (Optimization, New classes, World Map revamp, etc.) being added to the game sooner rather than later.
i really dislike the whole vaivora idea after last couple patches
not only that it locks the fixed ichor option, but instead locking underwhelming classes behind rng
also gj IMC for providing no way to get vaivora easier if they intend to make it the norm
tho i’ll save my judgement on vaivora with levels as the bonus increment is not great
but still this might be the road they will take, increasing vaivora weapon level more in future patches, introducing more broken bonus from those said level

EDIT: all in all everything yet to be revealed in practice. they did show that vaivora can be got in [new] CM(?) – not sure about new CM, but without known percentage or change in drop rate it is just like leticia cube’s ranking–deliberately putting desired item on higher rank list of item.
I don’t fully agree with IMC but you must remember they already increase the vaivora drop via cm10. In this patch they are reducing the atk and def of cm 9 and 10 to make it easier and also the new cm singularity (hard mode limited entry) can make the vaivora drop more common. I’m not defending their decision but if they tweak the drop rate right, this might be tolerable.
Then again, it’s IMC so don’t get your hope up
this is not a terrible thing, if you’re a ktos player. For us its kinda sad when you have to pay like 500m+ in a item that will be extremly easier to get on future patches. But what can we do? Lets hope for these changes come as soon as possible

This is a terrible way to look at things. I bought my Vaivora Spear at 240M and now they are 110M each. But if I had waited 3-5 months, that would be 3-5 months of me not being able to do contents efficiently.

Vaivora Weapons
A new NPC has been added to Fedimian.
-This NPC allows you to use “Vaivora Weapon Synthesis” and “Vaivora Weapon Upgrade” functions.
1. Vaivora Synthesis
-Synthesize 3 Vaivora weapons or ichors and you will receive 1 random Vaivora weapon.
-You cannot synthesize [Lv2] Vaivora weapons.
2. Vaivora Weapon Upgrade
-To upgrade, you need 2 identical Vaivora weapons (or ichors) and a “Vaivora Polishing Stone” item.
-Upgraded Vaivora weapons require level 450 to use, and have their stats increased accordingly.
-Vaivora Polishing Stones are obtained with a low chance from Challenge Mode stage 6-10 (stage 8 or higher), and with a high chance in the new content [Challenge Mode: Split Singularity].
-A [Lv2] Vaivora Polishing Stone is required for [Lv2] Vaivora upgrades.

1. Added [Challenge Mode: Split Singularity].
※ Challenge Mode: Split Singularity is a challenge mode in which portals are created at fixed locations in different maps for each day of the week. The following areas are the maps where the portals are created.
Challenge Mode: Split Singularity can only be entered by using [Challenge Mode: Singularity Entry Ticket].

-The ticket can be obtained with a low chance when clearing Challenge Mode stage 6-10.
-The ticket can be obtained with a low chance from the Fedimian tavern lottery.
When you clear Challenge Mode: Split Singularity with a [Challenge Mode: Split Singularity Multiply Token], you can receive another reward.
-Only party members that use the multiply tokens will receive additional rewards.
-When using the multiply token, you will receive both the basic rewards and the clear rewards.
-When using the multiply token, no additional entries are consumed (the rewards are just increased).
You can purchase [Recipe: Challenge Mode: Split Singularity Multiply Token] from the Sage NPC in West Jungers Road.
-By combining 3 tickets to enter the mode, you can use the recipe to make multiply tokens.
Challenge Mode: Split Singularity is divided into 1-5 stages, and the higher the stage, the higher the Attack and Defense stats of the monsters, and more monsters will appear.
-Two elite monsters will appear.
-When you reach a certain point in each stage, two elite monsters and 1 boss monster will appear simultaneously.
-If you defeat the elite monsters and the boss monsters, the challenge mode gauge will increase, and you will receive rewards when you clear the stage.
