That’s the thing. We did a lot for a game that doesn’t care for its fanbase and slowly went down. ToS started very good and had so much potential, but it drastically went down after MAGGI left. We tried to give it a chance, but its way too difficult to even get the motivation to log in. Not to mention everything is P2W.

Tree of Savior could be one of the best games around you’d love to waste your time on even in 2021 with some tweaks, but the developers are so hellbent on following their own vision of the game hardly anyone seems to agree on. It’s like tunnel vision development where they think they know everything better despite not playing the game, or taking feedback seriously of people who actually play the game and experience it.

I agree. There are good things these devs have done, but the bad things are very one-sided usually. Like killing silver in fields to prevent botting. Yea, maybe 10-20 botters died, but The rest of the playerbase has to suffer for it.

Vision is what you call when you have a future/goal in mind, can’t say they have that when the implications of some decisions are clearly troublesome but they do it anyway. They cancelled an announced upcoming feature for the first time in the game history, vision would prevent them from even announcing it.

maggi has big role since this game main lucky charm is its art design and its classic isometric style but i wouldnt say the game sink because of maggi left since he left not too long ago.
the game sink ever since they release raids, abandon fields ( no more various drop>no more various craft, collectable, treasure, etc), boring mobs combat, re:build, they turn everything into instance style dungeon and the mindless grind.
i bet the joy left for those veteran are probably keeping their rank in leaderboard or the journey of trying to get the optimum gears they could have like lv 4 ichors etc, max res sacrae lv, lv 10 legend/goddess card and so on but when they reach them all and nothing left they will finally realize that the game itself offer nothing but mindless grind. and thats when imc release new stuff so you get more chores to do.
ok rpg is about grind at some point, but i prefer an enjoyable grind.

The recent kTest patch being applied to kToS, but I can’t tell if they changed anything in the patch over to kToS anyway so I just leave it to others to check
