KToS General Thread v5.0

I agree, i have questions about that too. But to be fair in Telsiai, i only saw it happen 3 times. Two lv3 vvr and 1 lv2 armor, it happens so rarely that you’d think the people who can do that for a few extra silvers deserves it. The first time i saw it drop was for a lv3 rete shooter, i imagined the owner had mixed feelings about it.:rofl:

Yeap. I can’t bother enough if it will drop again. It just too rare even in a populated server.

IMC disclosed a long list of their probability rates for various things. It may or may not be the same as in iToS since IMC is IMC, also IMC released the rates few hours earlier but took it down for review, so maybe a small grain of salt needed before reading JK.

Wheres my archstone drop rate chance :sad:

so awakening is really rigged, so is monster card album. Looting chance is as good as useless, don’t even bother with relic gem.

There is nothing about goddess grace or res sacrae various gem cube chances in that page, though.

or DCP rewards, or CM rewards, etc…

5% chance when fusing assisters to get one ranked up, meaning you need to spend on average 60 normal assister cards to get 3 magic assisters, which translates in fusing 72000 normal cards to get a single legendary assister.
At these rates, why is there not a single system that allows for bunch-fusion?
The rates to get a legendary assister from albums is 1 in 167 albums opened.
To get the normal cards required to fuse a single legendary assister card, you would need to open albums equivalent to 87973 cards total.
daily and weekly purchases + assister dungeon clears give equivalents of 99 cards per week if I didn’t miss something.
If you do solo CM every day 3 times + 30 weekly runs, you should collect some additional albums (I forgot the number, it was 2 or 3 select albums if my memory doesn’t betray me).
Let me calculate with the best case, which would be 153 additional cards, for a total of 252 cards per week, you would still need 347 weeks to get a single legend card out of the fusion, on average.

That’s longer than TOS is available as F2P, 6.67 years.
By that time, you’d already have gotten 544 legendary assister cards from opening all these albums.
I wonder what the developers think about these numbers when they calculate them, I guess the Korean players must think they are crazy by now.

IMC’s 2nd Q&A from few days ago or something in text form. Also refreshing to know that IMC can be honest about things we already figured out by now.

So, to summarize some important points:

  • Dancer confirmed
  • Homonculus completely abandoned?
  • Arc stones are easier obtainable
  • Shop classes will be reworked so their shop skills are separate and the classes can be fully used for battle
  • Future raids will not require invincibility skills to avoid certain attacks

I only read that they are reducing the costs so you need less in total.

The biggest letdown was the revelation that the “one new class” is in reality “one new or one reworked class” per month. We will see monthly madness when one class after the other is going down the drain and/or has to be multi-balanced.

Goddess equipment info will be disclosed in about 4 weeks via developers blog, which is great.

Another big info is that Goddess equipment will be such an increment that res sacrae will no longer matter as much. I just hope this isn’t then coupled with another defense boost for existing content like JSR or WBR. If they see a problem there, they should reduce the SFR ratio of the top classes that manage to go way beyond the 5 B per run.

Boosting def/HP hits those the hardest that deal significantly less than meta, while reducing meta SFR only hurts the meta. If they want the content to be competitive, cutting off the meta is the easiest way to do it.

If only translators existed… /sarcasm

Now being serious. There’s not that many players that give feedback, they could work a triage with devs. Just need to sumarize non-korean feedback threads (or translate in cuts) and ask the devs if they want to get more details on it, doing a complete translation.

From what I could understand thanks to Google Translation (if I use ‘they’ without being explicit, consider ‘they’ = ‘devs’):

-With the “character progression concept”, they consider the “healer is not able to do solo content” problem solved. Simply because making and equipping a DPS to do said content is easier on that environment. I do not like it, but I still don’t know what they did with the concept, so let’s wait and see;

-When they say “new class every month”, we should also understand “if not a new class, an existing class is receiving a rework”. And I like it;

-The Homunculus idea was something they did not find a way to make simple enough “to make it happen without breaking the game” after Re:build, or they decided to postpone his adjustment and kept doing that until today. Oh well…;

-Dagger Scouts suffer from not having real synergies between each other (unlike Wizard classes for example where each buffs another’s damage when on the same build). They said there will be changes to enable that concept, and mentioned Rangda and Shinobi;

-Balancing PVP on a primarily PVE game is hard AF. They said both will be balanced separately;

-Some quality of life changes for newbies;

-People complaining Enchanter, Thaumaturge and Linker being Scout classes, but still being wizards on the World. They said there will be adjustments to that and introduce more “scout-like” classes to the tree;

-The Rune of Giants effect only allows Rune Caster’s skills to be used, and they said there will be no changes to that any time soon because of the engine;

-“Please make the basic attack stronger without skills”, asked player. “No”, answered dev.

-“Too much RNG on the Relic Gem acquisition”. “Too big of an answer to say it here”. Later, they said there will be new ways to adquire Relic Gems;

-Boruta Seal will be the basic one still into the future update. And the Vaivora upgrade cost will be reduced too;

-“Show me the numbers of Goddess Armor upgrade”, said player. “Not yet”, answered dev. “When so?”, asked another player. “In a month before the update”, answered dev;

-It so happens making hair in TOS is not that simple and also requires a fair amount of time, so the cycle for releasing new ones is long;

-The devs believe making Craft Arks will become easier thanks to the Goddess Armor system, so they don’t feel the need for increasing the drop chance of both Archstone and Arch Fragment;

-The Goddess Armor system does not say what will happen for non-Vaivora Ichors. Devs said there is too much work to evaluate everything after every change. And there will also be new Vaivora, Arts and Skills to change the situation. I think the Magic Circle classification will disappear, but let’s wait…;

-“A lot of people is using multiple accounts to make a lot of silver”, said player. “We believe the new system will solve it”, answered devs;

-“Boss’ patterns will become easier to be avoided, so that invincibility skills will not be as mandatory after that”;

-It is intended to have minimum of 45 players to clear both Boruta and Giltine Guild Raids. They don’t intend to change that;

-“Please update the collection compensation. I’ve been asking this for AGES!”, said player. “Noted”, said devs;

-“We are aware of the overseas users, but we cannot answer to their questions ‘live’ because of language”, said devs;

-“If you need help on making those classes, either being illustration or planning, please be open about it!”, said player. “We will be happy if you send your resume”, said devs;

I’ll take their “Okay.” response to the “Food Table in towns?” question as one of the most exciting things ever. Can’t wait!

I’m waiting for food stalls to have a takeout all in 1 buff combo XD

no. even those site managers sick of this intense everchanging state. i heard ebisuke, an addon creator will make his own tos base site but no update yet

About time IMC started sharing more information about their tweaked May-June plans since over half of their livestream plans (Healer Reorganization and Common Class tree) were effectively cancelled.

With some classes being planned to be reverted to previous iterations, can’t wait for IMC to recycle the new class ideas like new scrapped Enchanter and Thaumaturges as new classes. :joy:
