A summary of the live stream.
the Homunculi treatment

Marnox sure had some pretty bad days, huh.
My favorite quote from Kim Hakkyu in the live-stream chat today:

Kim Hakkyu:
โ"The team members we announced did not have much experience in the presentation, so it seems that there was a brain arrest in the middle."
Monk is saved, time to build Monk>Pied Piper>Rangda
Sadly no Falconer, Monk>Falconer wouldโve been hilarious. Hanging Shot with Energy Blast
Brain Arrest sounds like a future ToS skill name.
swell brain art now targetable damage causes stun
The question Iโm asking myself now is, if future classes will now be designed to be open for everyone, or if there will be a mix of tree-locked and open classes.
The aim could be to make all classes available for everyone down the line, but thatโs probably mentioned somewhere in the stream or dev notes and not yet translated.
Iโm wondering if you can have more than 1 common classโฆ cause whatโs more hilarious than nakmu wizard? A nakmu-hunter-sapper wizard XD
according to the presentation yes,you can. An example was Monk>Nak Muay>Hunter
PUPPET MASTER IS YOU?

finaly pupeeeeet s
ince beetaaa
So they killed the Linker is anโt a scout memeโฆ
the scheme of leaving some classes as general use is great and will even make it easier for the imc itself to create new classes in the future.
Just a reminder. If IMC canโt settle the class balance with everything fixed on their trees, how can they expect to work with generic classes.
What would they do in a (hypothetical) case where one particular class performs out of the charts for two base class builds and is completely garbage with the other three? Do they just kill the class for good? What if the class needs a rework? How much can they buff any of these classes without making a mess? Etc.
Itโs just the new shinny toy that will turn into a mess later on, usual stuff. Could be cool if the game was solid.
I believe that those who complain about the changes commenting on balancing are very unrealistic since they want a perfect and utopian balance that doesnโt exist anywhere lol, wow there will always be a better one no matter how much you strive to balance but give options of choice even if they are not the best, they are always welcome.
Yeah sounds like the monk fan base lol I can already see linker being a must have for aoe builds
Itโs not really about that.
The fact is - IMC has been pushing a lot more stuff that is hard to maintain and this is a new addition. There are other things that could use their time and workpower instead. I donโt give a damm about class balance (as other things demmand more attention) but that is a common complain in the community, and they still decided to go with this.
That is my point. If they have other things to address, why do something that can be foreseen as a big issue down the line?
