TOS Development Team: Lepidoptera Junction Hard Mode

Hello, this is the Tree of Savior development team.
In this post, we will introduce you to Lepidoptera Junction: Hard Mode.

Crevox Note: I’m skipping the translation of the lore section. It’s the same as the current story.

Differences from Normal Difficulty

Removed the Battle with Tantalizer
The development team has removed the battle with Tantalizer that occurs in the current raid, in order to reduce the burden that occurs when attempting the raid multiple times.

(Empty Area)

Orb of Magic
While the development team was watching players play through [Lepidoptera Junction: Legend], they determined that the majority of the difficulty of the existing raid was mostly placed on the healer of the group.

We’ve added a new item called the [Orb of Magic], which is needed to defeat the boss, as a means to further diversify player roles in the raid.

[Orbs of Magic] are provided by the [Chronomancer Master] located in the area where Tantalizer was previously fought.

[Orbs of Magic] are a consumable item with 5 different types, and each orb has a different effect.

These items are used to complete specific different Moringponia mechanics, and you will have to distribute these items among your party and form a strategy to defeat the bosses within a reasonable time-frame.

These orbs will be the core of your strategy to defeat the boss.

Moringponia and Tantalizer Attacking in Tandem
During your battle with Moringponia, Tantalizer will appear. Tantalizer, together with Moringponia, will make the battle even harder for the Saviors.
Hard Mode has been completely reorganized and is designed to overwhelm Saviors with higher difficulty than before.

Reward: Karaliene Accessories

The stat bonuses of the Karaliene accessory sets is currently being tested and is subject to change with the update.

With the release of [Lepidoptera Junction: Hard Mode], you will be able to create new Legend accessory sets, named Karaliene accessories, from Teliavelis.

In order to create these, you will need to get the materials from [Lepidoptera Junction: Hard Mode] in addition to the Moringponia Legend accessories.

In addition, you will need the Drakonas accessory sets or the Carnas accessories for different sets.

Accessories will need to be +10.

There are a total of 7 different sets of Karaliene accessories, each of them inheriting the set effects of the Moringponia accessories, alongside a new unique effect. Karaliene accessories also increase in power with Dragon Strength level 2, which improves these unique effects by 30-40%.

Karaliene Isgarinti

Stats
CON ▲35
SPR ▲135
Critical Rate ▲150

3 Set Effects
Increases the damage dealt by summons by 250%.
Decreases the damage taken by summons by 30%.
Provides 1 stack of Feeding every time the caster deals critical damage.

Feeding
Upon reaching 20 stacks, the stacks will be consumed to provide the Enchantment buff to your summons.
Feeding Duration: 5 seconds

Enchantment
Summons will deal additional damage equal to the damage of the original hit to up to 3 enemies
within a range of 60 upon hitting an enemy.
Enchantment Duration: 2 seconds

Dragon Strength Lv 2
Increases the duration of Enchantment by 1 second.

Explanation
The Karaliene Isgarinti set has the same bonuses as the Moringponia Isgarinti accessory set when it comes to Summoning.

The summon damage increase and damage reduction effects are now always active, and the caster dealing critical damage accumulates energy that is temporarily applied to your summons to provide them with stronger area of effect attacks.

The Karaliene Isgarinti accessory set solves the problem of summons lacking the ability to deal damage in an area, especially when used with a large number of summons. Classes such as Necromancer and Bokor can benefit greatly from this.

Karaliene Triukas

CON ▲48
SP ▲2500
Critical Rate ▲300
Magic Critical Attack ▲1700

3 Set Effects
While [Magic Shield: Arcane Explosion] or [Guardian Saint: Belief] are active, critical hits will trigger the skill [Force Wave] to be cast dealing damage equal to the attribute of the skill that triggered it.

[Force Wave]
-Skill Factor: 5500%
-Skill Cooldown: 3 seconds
-Inflicts a debuff for 10 seconds on hit that causes the target to take 50% increased damage from
the damage attribute of Force Wave.
-When there is more than one attribute debuff active on the target, their movement speed will be decreased by 20 for 3 seconds.

Dragon Strength Lv 2
-Increases the Skill Factor of Force Wave by ▲2000%.

Explanation
The Karaliene Triukas accessory set has stats for Wizards and Clerics that mainly deal damage using magic.

Force Wave is a magic skill that is automatically cast when dealing critical damage while [Magic Shield: Arcane Explosion] or [Guardian Saint: Belief] are active.

5341295559225379388

Force Wave is cast directly in front of the caster, dealing damage to all enemies in range. It can inflict damage multiple times based on your distance from the enemy. This distance may allow it to be avoided, but it can abused to deal damage multiple times to large enemies.

Attack against Medium-sized Targets ▲1500

3 Set Effects
Counter Attack Damage ▲100%

Upon triggering a Counter:
-Increases damage dealt by 100% for 1 second.
-Provides 1 stack of Counter, and upon reaching 5 stacks, consumes all stacks to gain the Critical buff.

Critical
-Critical Rate ▲500
-Counters are disabled for the buff duration.
-Duration: 10 seconds

Dragon Strength Lv 2
Counter Attack Damage ▲30%

Counter
A counter is triggered upon hitting an enemy with physical damage while you are within 150 range or less from the enemy. Both you and the enemy must be in motion of using a skill or a normal attack for a counter to trigger.

Explanation
The Karaliene Pyktis accessories improve the abilities of physical damage dealers, and inflict increased damage when you damage an opponent who is attacking.

ye

Upon a successfully counter attack, you will deal high damage. If you counter 5 times, you won’t be able to counter temporarily.

This allows you to gain a buff that increases your Critical Rate. Also, the counter is only triggered if both you and the enemy are within the motion of using a skill.

This effect does not trigger when inflicting or receiving damage from damage over time effects.

Karaliene Juoda

image
Stats
CON ▲38
SPR ▲120
Magic Critical Attack ▲540

3 Set Effects
Grants a 12 second buff to all allies but the caster on Mass Heal use.
-Increases damage dealt by allies by 20% and reduces damage they take by 20%.
-Increases your Healing by 32% for 10 seconds after using Mass Heal, and increases Movement Speed by 10 for 3 seconds.

Dragon Strength Lv 2
-Increases the damage dealt bonus for allies by 10%.

Explanation
The Karaliene Juoda accessory set is exclusively for healers and inherits the effects of Moringponia Juoda. In addition to the existing effects, allies affected by Mass Heal receive both a damage dealt increase buff and a damage taken reduction buff, providing an opportunity for you to turn the situation around when there is danger.

Karaliene Kantribe

Stats
Physical Defense ▲2500
CON ▲70
Critical Resistance ▲470
AoE Defense Ratio ▲3
Block ▲200

3 Set Effects
Increases the duration of [Liberate: Fortitude] by 6 seconds and provides a buff to party members within 300 range upon use.
-Reduces damage received by 50%.
-Duration: 7.5 seconds

Reversal: Inflicts a debuff on enemies upon successfully blocking their physical damage attack that reduces their Critical Rate by your Critical Resistance stat.
-Duration: 5 seconds, stacks

Dragon Strength Lv 2
-Increases the duration of the debuff inflicted by 3 seconds.

Explanation
The Karaliene Kantribe set provides bonuses for Swordsman characters who want to protect their party from danger. This set inherits the benefits of the original Moringponia Kantribe set, while also weakening enemies.

Reversal: Inflicts a debuff on enemies upon successfully blocking their physical damage attack that reduces their Critical Rate by your Critical Resistance stat.

Since the accessories themselves have a high Critical Resistance bonus, wearing them will automatically lead to a potent debuff, while also boosting your own Critical Resistance.

The more Critical Resistance you manage to gain, the easier it will be to neutralize the damage from those who attack you.

However, because the debuff is a debuff that can be removed normally, it may not be powerful if the enemy has a way to counter it.

Karaliene Bargeras

image
Stats
CON ▲70
Critical Resistance ▲470
Magic Defense ▲2500
AoE Defense Ratio ▲3

3 Set Effects
Increases the duration of [Liberate: Fortitude] by 6 seconds and provides a buff to party members within 300 range upon use.
-Reduces damage received by 50%.
-Duration: 7.5 seconds

Reversal: Inflicts a debuff on enemies upon successfully blocking their magic damage attack that reduces their Critical Rate by your Critical Resistance stat.
-Duration: 5 seconds, stacks

Dragon Strength Lv 2
-Increases the duration of the debuff inflicted by 3 seconds.

Explanation
The Karaliene Bargeras set is basically identical to the Karaliene Kantribe, but specializes in defending against magic damage rather than physical damage.

Successful blocks against magic damage will reduce the enemy’s Critical Rate by your Critical Resistance stat.

Karaliene Friedetti

Additional Damage ▲2500

3 Set Effects
Every 20 attacks, your attack will inflict 1000% more Additional Damage.

Dragon Strength Lv 2
-Increases the Additional Damage bonus to 1300%.

Explanation
The bonus is referring to the “Additional Damage” stat.
Karaliene Friedetti is an accessory set that empowers damage dealers that have a high “Additional Damage” stat. The items themselves provide a large amount of Additional Damage, and then also provide a set effect that increases the stat by 10x on every 20th attack.

4692777208589060892

If you can consistently hit enemies while wearing the set, you can expect to deal high damage through the Additional Damage stat.

Conclusion

This concludes the preview of [Lepidoptera Junction: Hard Mode] from the TOS Development Team. Thank you.

When the skills from accessories are better than the skills shop classes and the majority of underplayed classes have. :tired:

Well, i hope they mean those accessories must be at least +10, and not exactly at +10. Since only the total enhancement mattered, mine are at +11/+11/+8. Gotta enhance that last one too when the time comes, it appears, but having to fail some on purpose to bring them down would be rather awkward.

I don’t really understand, is this the same legend raid we are doing but they revamped the whole thing or this is a new raid?

this summoner kit looks extremly overpowered lol

i loved it

This is a new raid. There may be similarities but this is a completely different fight.

so we’ll need items from
Unique Moring -> to craft Moring Legend set
Moring Legend set + Drakonas -> to craft the new Caralien
and get the Caralien from the new raid

edit : for some reason i was sure it was a new solo content, nvm that

I absolutely HATE their favorism when it comes to some classes…
Give this effect the same CD as Mass Heal and let it get triggered by more mass healing effects, is this so hard???

So they give summoners an upgrade to the already incredible Isgarinti set, while non-summoner wizards get a situational, underwhelming set upgrade? Nice balance Imc. Also interesting how they give more benefits for Dragon Strength lvl2, but they refuse to make it easier to obtain.

I wonder why they are adding a harder mode to the insect raid, when people already have plenty of difficulty clearing the normal one.

Thankfully this is just a preview, and things might get changed before they go live. :tired:

The new wizard set is insane and far better than the summoner set.

The summoner set is meant to help in AoE situations only, benefitting the two weaker summoner classes primarily.

The new wizard set is 16500% (or higher) SFR every 3 seconds with positioning while also making the target take 50% increased damage… it’s very strong in every situation, and even better with Dragon Strength. I’m pretty sure it’s the strongest set here by a wide margin.

I’m not totally a fan… They always narrow down the possibilities for different builds rather than add more… and also some are always better than others…

I’m also wondering if that’s better for chaplain than the additional damage one.

so , how to get dragon strength ?

get boruta seal lv3 that possible for whale only , lol .

But it needs the Arcane shield attribute to be on… that completely kills the set for me. I can see it being good for cleric though, 50% uptime on the guardian saint attribute with no sp drain should make this work well I guess.

Hmmmm this make sense why i’m not droping raflower root… realy hope homun became fun

that kepa while testing friedetti set is tough

magical set looks nice but that probably mean crafting drakonas lynski. Idk how good the additional damage set is but good luck farming drakonas frieno

why they just tease the necklace lol

clearly im not a fan of magical set.
imo magical is the worst.first thanks to that sp bloaters in that necklace compare to dmg against medium in pyktis. i mean look at bergeras vs kantribe, its simply pdef v mdef version.they are identical and not deviate from the goal.lets say kantribe get offensive treat say crit up, damage against type up anything… its deviated.

well it might be good for arcane explosion sp drain, to get more force wave hits but thats it.not like anything else will need it for the sake of offesiveness especially cleric(unless you wanna use nerfed-to-oblivion-blind faith as zealot which add poor damage).sp never been a problem in this game where you can chug different kind of pots especially if you are whale with gazillion 50% pot.

meanwhile pyhsical got 1,5k boost against medium, yet another offensive treat.
i mean if you wanna make these sets offensive, than so be it.

if you argue the set effect of magical is better, than imo the set effect of physical also way better.100% damage up cmon.while force wave rely on fixed sfr, with counter you can manage what skills you want to deal 100% that i believe can result even bigger output than forcewave. plus you need sp drain arcane explosion that could last less than iirc 20 sec of guardian saint:belief and leave you with somewhere around 40 sec cooldown and perhaps 0 sp for wiz.for pyktis theres only 10s cooldown of counter and guess what you still got 500 crt rate as compensation.

in 1 minute duration, in pve, where enemies are chasing you unlike pvp where they could runaway to make counter trigger less effective due to the range, i believe pyktis set effect can result more output, even bigger than triukas.

yet another physical accessory better than magical since era of drakonas

But bokor is a garbage summoner, not even worth picking with lilith and stuff.
People pick stuff like featherfoot/onmyoji/pyromancer over it.

Yeah, ok, having too many summon-only bonuses may not be the best approach ever. But, just a reminder, every summon already deals only 25% of their attack by default. And most of them do not have a standard SFR increasing attribute. So all these bonuses are ok/good. And the mechanic for maximum output requires the user to basically expose in a melee-medium range most of the time.
But:

Either “the summon dealing critical damage” is also counted on this - which would make it really weird phrasing -, either the user needs to, actively, deal damage with something (magic damage) to trigger it. So more encouraging a more aggressive approach on the summoner gameplay which, honestly, is hard for most of the time if you have a full summoner build.

It definitely requires balancing. Lepidoptera’s legendary set was built as an end-game set, with extra stuff behind a fortress’ wall of enhancements and transcendences. And, on the status’ side too, because the Drakonas is included in this mess. But this can be said about every single new set presented.

Yep. Myself, and many guildmates, included.

How can it be better?
Summon set:
3 Set Effects
Increases the damage dealt by summons by 250%.
Decreases the damage taken by summons by 30%.
You don’t even have to enhance your acessories to +16 to get this bonus, you get it right away and also the AoE effect. 100% uptime active.

Wiz set:
Dependent on Arcane Explosion, that drains your SP so fast that you wont even have 10% uptime, need to critically hit, 3s cd.

I can’t see how it is better, I would rather use the physical set than that Arcane Explosion crap. Too bad counter attack only trigger with physical damage.
