So many carebears in this game.

Back in my day, MMOs have ridiculous high-end gear gaps from intermediate equips.

Most of refining system required you to use a specific item to enhance your gear(here you just use silver). And some of them, fail enhance means your equipment breaks.

Tales of players losing motivation to play and goes hiatus because their precious +9 weapon broke is very common.

here is a “common”: quited because destroy their trans 9 wp because of a stupid time bug.

All of you should be grateful this game even pumps out content with their bare bones approach to things.

Casual gear for casual players, why ppl think the game will be better if u got all for free? stop crying and play.

Look, if they’re gonna give away free varna gear, at least let it be T0, so you actually have to put in some effort in the freaking game dude.

So basically, what you want is …

  • A Savinose set that’s basically a Varna set
  • A Varna set
  • A Velcoffer set jacked up to be a Varna set, or
  • An unreleased Disnai set that’s better than a Varna set.

From the start of EP 12, custom-tailored with fixed/random ichors, for free.

You just want a free fully upgraded Varna set with no effort put in on your part. Stop ignoring facts and insisting that intended features of Savinose equipment needs to be “fixed” when players using Savinose do just fine in kToS. Its not like Legend Skiaclipse Raid will disappear after the next patch.

Things are not “going down”. There’s more than enough time to prepare for future legend gear, so stop crying wolf and fear-mongering to beg for free items instead of y’know, actually playing the game to get them.

I’m casual - with +4000 hours play time :rofl: - and got +11 Savinose armor and weapon set already before the event ones, and some event weapons for alt(s) already, and I’m OK about the predicted “power gap between Savinose and Skiaclipse legendaries” with the EP 12 update and I think there should be a difference between my poor Savinose and Skiaclipse Varna ones. What I grind is what I get.

Episode 9:

  • me struggling in Sausys Room against those Bookworms with my wizard using HoG – this was fun

Episode 11:

  • me oneshotting everything with +11 t8 Savinose – boring

Frankly if episode 12 is harder with the casual stuff we get, it will simply make the game more interesting. Usually I update my stuff every 2 episodes, so I won’t get Varna and simply use Savi (50% of my chars) or upgrade Velco (other 50%). Since most of my chars are using a 2h weapon, I’m pretty sure using and upgrading ornament + ark will be more than enough to obtain the needed boost for episode 12. Disnai equipment not available for months? I’m sure this will simply give time to actually play the game, level up all chars from 420 to 450, get upgrades for current equipment, do episode 11 content (Legend Skia, Misrus) that was very hard and now will be more manageable, enjoy party content with guildmates, and much more the game has to offer…

I’m annoyed mostly about having to do another +16 weapon of the same tier (because as usual they handled fencers terribly - none of the vaivora ichors available to fencer raises crit rate, so it’s random or nothing). But even i wouldn’t ask for an handout like the guy above, let’s be clear.
That said, when i see people talking about “critting less” like it’s nothing, it’s clear they have no idea about how a fencer works - skills are balanced over epee garde, so either you crit or the damage is awful, worse than other classes. And due to idiotic design decisions, the attack gap is getting even furthered (the high variance in two handed weapons is a straight huge buff when using barbarian, and the added ornament attack just pushes it further; and scouts get a straight buff too). And seeing as instead of crit rate i get block penetration or accuracy in those vaivora, i should as well hope they’ll get some use. We’ll see, but i’m kinda doubtful about it.

well i think fencer have ole and muleta…those are 118% crit rate buff already. So crit rate wont even be a problem (say, doppel BB gonna need 3200 critrate, while fencer mata can just get 1600 and call it a day, even now with even nepa or uphill set, ppl can reach 1200-1300 crit rate easily). So, a draw back in crit rate (and about 300 patk, 10k HP i assume ?) wont betoo impactful.

They whole point of having a class that escales with crit damage while not having crit rate, is to make it build towards something. Might as well give everything to it so you don’t even need gear :pogchamp

Basically most people went through that cycle a few times.

Virtov gear >Grynas Plate > Lolopanther > Solmiki was the old progression route

Those who had no access to solmiki had to use Primus armors for Velcoffer. Also primus do not have base transcendence value. You had to invest some blessed gems into that for your Velco starter pack, like T5 minimum. Original Velco is even more costly and took longer than Varnas to craft. The original ichor costs were extremely high.

You had to use powders to even equip ichors, also no such thing as ichor transmutation back then. Primus drops were also 7 x lower than the current drop rate we have.

The first wave of Velco users were hardcore af, that’s all i can say.

All efforts gone, with the introduction of:

  • Savi, from planium drops ( which Outshine velco immediately)
  • x2 drop Velco drops, 50% discount event by IMC ( Twice in a year in fact)

Yeah all the hours people spent locked into Savi is gone.
Not just Your Savinose. We spent it all on Velco, Lolopanther, Solmiki as well.

Just part of MMO. lol

If you want normalised gears, maybe try another game

and no joke, but you can use ■■■■■■■ velco gear now with 430 random ichors and fixed ichors. The only bad thing is you don’t get ataka or smugis, outside of that, as legend armor its pretty good.

You might want to stop posting any more until you get yourself more informed instead of thinking that other people are thinking “one-sided”.

Maybe you didn’t consider the fact that Savinose did not come out at the same time as Varna. In fact, Savinose came out 3 months earlier than Varna. While the time gap from Varna to Disnai is too short, the time gap between Savinose and Disnai isn’t at all. Also, Its not like players don’t need to farm and upgrade equipment prior to doing endgame content before, and leave those equipment behind for better gear with new content updates.

Again, it is intended by IMC for Savinose to not be able to equip Random Stat Ichors, not something bugged that needs to be “fixed”. There’s no need to call others as “one-sided” and so on just to entertain your blatant ignorance over this.

Gotta test it tomorrow, since all we’ve got so far is the higher resistance values (but we aren’t sure if the new formula applies only to pvp or monsters too). That said, increasing those buffs further doesn’t come for free, and it means i would either have to remove faena completely (it got worse after they removed the canceling, but still fine for challenges and such due to the relatively higher aoe ratio) or lower back slide (it would mess up some rotations though, so i’ll avoid doing it). I would have to devolve most of the points of a class to make up for a single stat of a fixed ichor, basically.
But just like i have to work around to make up for the lack of crit rate given by fixed ichors, i should expect those other classes to have to make up for the lack of block penetration or accuracy that the vaivora rapier and dagger instead get. Again, we’ll see about it. But i guess they’ll have no issue at all, as usual. By the way, we can talk about using accessories to make up for crit rate too…but whereas i have to use drakonas pasiutes or whichever other crit stat, those classes can put up moringponia pictis accessories, get a lot more of the same crit rate just from the weapon and have a ton of physical crit attack added upon. The impact of those fixed ichor stats is just that heavy. And again, they also have far higher physical attack to start with too…

Replying to ArenaWaifu, well, take the list of vaivora items and tell me which of those are useable by fencers and have crit rate. Then come back with the answers.
I can’t “build toward something” if that something doesn’t even exist. I get accuracy and block penetration instead.

Let’s do some quick check. The max evasion enemies have from before patch is 588, from moringponia. After the patch is 609. A minimal increase with around 5 enemies having such values. So there you are, accuracy from dagger is already useless to start with. But maybe they’ll block more? No, before patch we have enemies with 380 block and at most it gets to 420 with the next patch, just with a couple monsters having such a value.
So there you are. They’re indeed padding stats and are absolutely useless for the new content. And i get those instead of a crit rate that could have been useful instead.
