KToS General Thread v4.0

I am secretly hoping it is like a magic version of paladin and Holy Smash is similar to Holy Shock from WoW. =p

A few patches ago they changed Gather Corpse into a 10 point max
image

Sounds like it will pair good with Nobi.

I am not going to lie,I felt a vibe it being a Magic and buff class.

INT swords perhaps?

back in the day where clerics can use sword in early level, i would hope so
but currently i dont think they ll ever let cleric wear sword anymore
even look at that paladin master, he wear a 2h sword

and i still hope they let scout wear anything beside sword
or at least release 2 different kind of sword each time which one of it will synergize with scout class
like when they release skiaclipse unique sets

Cross fingers for a double sword mastery class but lower the SFR iof the skills to balance the damage.

To be honest, they should of let BM and SR wield double pistols instead of a sword :expressionless::expressionless::expressionless::expressionless: .

Is it a nerf or a buff for summons classes?

Don’t count your chicks before they hatch,I also feel the same but lets see what happens.

It’s hard to tell at this stage. It’s a major usability nerf, as anything you want to combat now needs to have either Desmodus or Gather Corpse (or both) debuff on them in order to begin inflicting your usual damage. They did not lower the cooldown of either skill, and they did not raise the AoE size of Desmodus, which makes applying these in a challenge mode to all of the enemies very difficult. The skills are now also absolutely mandatory in order to play a summoner build and must be maxed (though you should have done this anyways).

Unless the damage of the summons is high enough to overpower through a 75% damage nerf, then it will take strategic management of skills in order to maintain a fast kill speed in challenge mode, or it will simply be a nerf. The overall damage of summons before and after the update would need to be tested as this is a lot of changes to how calculations are being done, and it’s unknown at this time how they’re handling the stacking damage modifiers. On bosses, as long as you’re doing your rotation properly, the usability of the class has not changed… it’s simply more strict in that if you don’t keep your debuffs up, your damage will brick.

Overall, the change was done in order to combat the overly passive gameplay that has been promoted since summoners have gotten stronger. IMC does not want summoners to be able to simply walk or stand around and do nothing while their summons kill everything. They want you to play an active role in combat and apply the appropriate debuffs in order to play the game and participate in defeating enemies. If you were already doing this, then you really won’t be bothered by this change and everything should be just fine, as long as the damage values come out to be around the same as they were before.

This is also naturally a large nerf to bots, as their kill speed has been dramatically reduced unless they can properly time and manage two different debuffs on enemies they fight.

Visible Talent
-When accumulating damage with Visible Talent, the way damage accumulates on player characters will now be different than that of on monsters as follows:
-On player characters: [Character Accumulated Damage] + ([Monster Accumulated Damage] / 1000) Damage
-Accumulated damage to monsters will function the same as before.

So chaplain is back for being a trash class again. LOL

Its probably more of a fix to PvP one-shot shenanigans, but to be fair, the last thing the Chaplain class needs right now is a nerf.

I think one shot shenenigans is also welcome here.(for me) Just like in Ragnarok. and u dont instant 1 shot enemy. u need to charge it 1st via wheel and v.talent. its almost 12secs charging time. plus u need to chase them so hard. just delete chaplain class. LOL #imced

Hahaha that was my first reaction. Quick somebody tell imc they done ■■■■■■ up ahhaha

even moringponia is beast when i thought its insect
who knows baiga end up to be insect type

Moringponia is insect. The card was wrong, but this was fixed on KR already.

I wish they completely remove repeatable quests. Those are boring, take forever to complete (digging a spot for 5 minutes and then having to repeat this nonsense 5 times), and the rewards are pure trash. They should also rework the drops. For example, some level 40 quests provide the Kedorian level 40 gear while also giving some level 15 irrelevent nonsense. With the new system, low level chars will progress much faster and will probably be ahead quickly by 50-80 levels (which is already the case if you do all quests), rewards should be adapted accordingly.

So for a summon with max Desmodus:

  • before: 160% (100 + 60)
  • after: 135% (100 * 5.4 * 0.25)

Definitely a nerf… However we don’t have the previous patch on iToS yet (the one that completely changes summon ATK based on the character’s own MATK/SPR), so we need to wait to see if overall it’s not still better than what we have now.

Episode Rewards

420k AP for your first char – I like that

Probably a typo, looking at other episodes this should be x3.

Alas

The episodes that has EXP,can you retrieve the EXP from any episodes with like a level 1 character?

I wonder from episode 1 to 10 what level would I get if I make a level character take all those EXP 1 by 1.

You need to have the quests completed on the character you want to claim rewards on.

Not a typo on my end. That’s how much it gives for finishing the Orsha questline.
