So monk turned into Auto Attack with singe target debuffs and a faster cast on the Kamehameha. They buffed double punch so much that it costs you more mana and more animation time to use palm strike then to just auto attack.

RIP Exorcist you will be missed.

Since the introduction of Exorcist, we’ve been telling IMC that Rubric’s [cooldown x duration x damage] was way overpowered and it was making all other skills of Exorcist irrelevant. I thought they would increase the cooldown instead of reducing channeling time, but it is nice anyway, as they gave an increased damage to it. IMO this is a healthy change.

Still not sure what to think about Monk, but certainly it is better than nothing.

KTEST Patch 5/3/19

Items

1. The Awakening functionality has been updated.
-New level 400 item abrasives have been added.
-Awakening without the abrasives will give the usual awakening values, but by using them, you will get higher stat values.
-These abrasives drop with low chance in Episode 11 areas.
-As usual, item potential will drop by 1 if you don’t use an awakening stone.

2. The ability to remove ichors from items has been added. You can pay Silver to Teliavelis in Fedimian to do this for you.

3. Partis Solutions with 100% EXP can now stack in your inventory.
-Existing items will stack when they are right clicked.
-You can use the item as usual once they are stacked.
-The weight of bottles has been changed.
Current: 50
After: 5 (less than 100% EXP), 10 (100% EXP)

Challenge Mode Improvements

The drop rate from Large monsters in Challenge Mode has been increased by 1.5x.
-The gargoyles in Outer Wall District 14 will have their race changed.
Current: Mutant
After: Devil

Quest Improvements

1. Some quest types have been changed.
-Some of the subquests in Crystal Mine 1F, 2F, and 3F have been changed to main quests.
-The objective of the quest “To the Mines” will be changed from a 140 second time limit to defeating 9 monsters.

2. Made improvements to make questing more convenient.
-Removed some quest prerequisite restrictions on Demon Prison maps so you can quest there without having done a chain.
-Reduced the cooldown on item usage (V key) for some quests.
-Added a return warp to some quests.

3. Reduced the requirements for quest completion for some quests.
-The completion conditions for quests in the Fortress of the Land and Tevhrin Stalactite Cave maps have been made easier.

Unique Raid Improvements

1. A 4 second invincibility effect has been added to Skiaclipse and some of his monsters when they appear.

2. Some skill patterns of Skiaclipse have been changed or deleted.
-Removed Ice Wall pattern.
-Fixed an issue where skills were not usable after bone prison.

3. A range is now displayed for the effect of the curse of Skiaclipse.

4. A skill limit has been added for Unique Raids and Legend Raids.
-Backmasking can only apply once per target and this restriction is shared among the party.

Skill Balance

Balance is subject to continous changes at any time.
Other changes may be applied sequentially.

image Nak Muay

Nak Muay is inconvenient to use because of its restriction to be in Ram Muay stance to use its skills. It is key to take advantage of this stance as much as possible to make quick, combo use of all of Nak Muay’s attack skills, to deal high damage in a short amount of time.

Ram Muay
-While the stance is active, you will now inflict [Shock] on enemies when basic attacking for 5 seconds.
-While enemies are [Shocked], Nak Muay attack skills have a 50% chance of dealing an additional hit.

Te Kha
-Skill Factor per level increased (7.8% -> 11.7%).
-Now deals 50% increased damage to Boss monsters.

Sok Chiang
-Skill Factor per level increased (8% -> 16%).
-Now deals 50% increased damage to knocked down enemies.
-[Bleeding] chance increased up to 100% when your STR exceeds the enemy’s CON by a sufficient value.
-[Bleeding] hit interval decreased (1.5s -> 0.8s).
※The effect of [Bleeding] duration being reduced by 50% in Team Battle League has been extended to also apply to all PVP areas.

Te Trong
-Skill Factor per level increased (46.8% -> 80%).
-Now deals 50% increased damage to [Bound] enemies.

Khao Loi
-Skill use time has been decreased (1s -> 0.5s).
-Skill aftercast delay has been decreased (1.2s -> 0.5s).
-Skill Factor per level increased (29.5% -> 73.75%).
-No longer deals increased damage to flying enemies or those that are riding a companion.
-Now deals 100% increased damage to enemies affected by Te Trong.

Muay Thai
-Enemies affected by the additional effects of Nak Muay skills will now take 100% increased damage from Ram Muay for the duration.

image Hackapell

We increased the power of skills overall, and also improved the bonuses from [Shock]. We also added [Slow] to Helm Chopper to add more usability to it.

Skarphuggning
-Now simply deals 4 direct hits instead of 2 + 2.
-Increased the damage bonus on [Shocked] enemies (25% -> 50%).

Storm Bolt
-Now always deals 5 hits instead of having a debuff requirement.
-Overheats increased (1 -> 2).

Cavalry Charge
-Now inflicts [Shock] for 10 seconds on hit.

Helm Chopper
-Base Skill Factor increased (180% -> 216%).
-Skill Factor per level increased (6% -> 30%).
-Now inflicts [Slow] on enemies hit with a 50% chance for 5 seconds.

Hakka Palle
-Cooldown decreased (60s -> 45s).

Grind Cutter
-Now deals 25% increased damage to [Shocked] enemies.

Infinite Assault
-The movement of this skill has been removed.
※ While your character will move on your screen, this is simply a visual effect. The damage is applied to the enemy without you actually moving at all.
-Skill use time decreased (0.5s -> 0.3s).
-Skill Factor per level increased (67% -> 134%).
-Cooldown decreased (25s -> 20s).
-If you use Infinite Assault while Cavalry Charge is active, the duration of Cavalry Charge will increase by 1.5s.

Since most of Rodelero’s skills can be used while riding a companion, we are also changing Targe Smash to be usable as well in order to improve synergy with Hackapell. We also reduced the skill use time to improve usability.

Targe Smash
-Skill use time decreased (0.8s -> 0.5s).
-Can now be used while riding a companion.

In addition to adding more synergy with [Blind] on their skills, we want to improve Bokor’s synergy with other classes that make use of [Blind] such as Shadowmancer, Warlock, etc.

Effigy
-Now has a 50% chance to remove [Hexing] to deal additional damage.
-Now deals 25% increased damage to [Blind] enemies.
-Effigy: Blind chance to inflict [Blind] increased (5% per level -> 10% per level).

Bwa Kayiman
-Skill Factor per level increased (7% -> 18%).
-Now deals 25% increased damage to [Blind] enemies.
-Zombies are now immune to knockback and knockdown during Bwa Kayiman and receive 50% less damage.
※ The caster does not receive these effects.

Damballa
-Explosion range increased (50 -> 80).
-Skill Factor per level increased (50.4% -> 75%).
-Now deals 25% increased damage to [Blind] enemies.

image Warlock

We improved the chance of Evil Spirits inflicting [Blind] so it can be inflicted on enemies easier, and also changed Evil Sacrifice so it can deal more damage to enemies overall.

Evil Sacrifice
-Now explodes spirits at the position of monsters instead of dealing a direct hit to them.

Evil Spirit: Blind
-Chance to inflict [Blind] increased (1% per level -> 10% per level).

We increased the power of Monk’s skills overall, but also made changes to Energy Blast to make it quicker to use, improving its usability.

Iron Skin
-Damage reduction increased (0.5% per level -> 1% per level).

Double Punch
-Skill Factor per level increased (3% -> 6.8%).
-When your current HP is under 40%, you will deal an additional hit of Holy damage to enemies equal to [Skill Level] * [Character Level] * 0.15.

Palm Strike
-Defense ignore effect increased (0.5% per level -> 2% per level).

Hand Knife: Armor Break
-Defense ignore effect increased (1.5% per level -> 4% per level).

Energy Blast
-Maximum charge time decreased (5s -> 1s).
-Duration of the skill has been changed to (Charge Time + 1 second).
※ Maximum: 5 seconds → 2 seconds
-Skill Factor per level increased (7.5% -> 10%).

One Inch Punch
-The effect of reducing the enemy’s SP has been changed.
Current: [Skill Level] * 10% of SP per second
After: Instantly reduces enemy SP on hit relative to ([YourSPR] / [EnemySPR] * 50%) (max 100% reduction).
-If Golden Bell Shield is active, you will restore your own SP by 25% of what the enemy lost.

Golden Bell Shield
-While active, you are now immune to knockback, knockdown, and normal debuffs.

Rubric is a frequently used skill, and we’ve reduced its channeling time to reduce the time you are using it and enable you to use different attack skills.

Rubric
-Maximum channeling time decreased (6s -> 4s).
-Base Skill Factor increased (277% -> 415%).
-Skill Factor per level increased (9.2% -> 18%).

Katadikazo
-Casting time decreased (1s -> 0.5s).

Mass Heal: Enhance was applying twice as a bug, and while we fixed this, we have raised the Heal Factor of Mass Heal to compensate.

Mass Heal
-Base Heal Factor increased (264% -> 424.4%).
-Heal Factor per level increased (126.6% -> 202.56%).

We fixed a bug where you are sometimes not damaged while using Sweeping, but in order to compensate for this we have changed it so you can’t be knocked back or knocked down while using it.

Sweeping
-Fixed bug that sometimes prevented you from taking damage.
-You are now immune to knockback and knockdown during use.

The power of skills that have synergy with skills that alter the race of monsters is high, so the effectiveness of these debuffs on bosses should be adjusted based on the grade of boss.

Judgment
-The duration now varies based on the grade of the boss it is applied to.
Unique Raid Boss: -50% duration
Legend Raid Boss: -75% duration
Boruta: -87.5% duration

Koinoia has extremely good scaling in kTOS (still not yet on iTOS), must max. And I suppose you mean Gregorate instead of Engkrateia? Regardless, both are 1 point wonders. Gregorate scaling is bad and AOE is too small. Entity is not worth adding unless for PvP so I left at 0, all in all leaving me 13 points for Aqua.

Yea Rubric change is actually a buff on bosses in practical sense where the boss will either move away or disrupt you in less than 4 sec. Low lv CM though (especially at 21f on demon mobs) is where the attribute needs to be turned off to enjoy 4 secs channeling since you will be overkilling them and the next wave takes a while to spawn.

Even with 2 secs channeling, I find absolutely no issue in having ample skills to spam for Druid-Exo-Diev. Rubric CD is only 11 secs (9s after channeling) with Lv 11 Laima.

Lol compensate for fixing a bug? This is when IMC realized, but refused to admit its mistake in overnerfing Mass Heal and just find a way to compensate without revealing its mistake to players.

The druid change to chortasmata does literally nothing because of the attribute that turns off changing monsters to plant type. So why was it even considered to be implemented? Who knows 300IQ move?

Nope. Enkgrateia. Emergency healing is easier with 75% dmg reduction, but it’s time to drop it to 1 point panic button, I guess.

Finally gets Monk Buffs in exchange for One Inch Punch nerf, “Equivalent Exchange” I guess … ? Can’t wait for Monk videos in kTest (prays in kTesters). Why Double Punch getting the Last Rites treatment though haha, might as well give the damage without the HP condition.

Also RIP Chaplains, Monk Auto-Attack damage now make up quite the majority of overall Auto-Attack damage compared to Chaplain (outside Visible Talent). Monk slowly taking over the Auto-Attack identity while Chaplain still in Buff Waiting Room.

I don’t get how the plant debuff works anymore. Last time there’s a separate plant type icon on both you and the mob only when in the grass, but now (iTOS) there’s none even with attribute turned off. At least it should be different from the rash debuff so I guess the rash duration is not affected.

Good that the armour penetration was boosted for Monks.

Effigy changes are weird since I run FeatherFoot- Necro-Bokor but overall/whatever.

Why do they keep buffing Damballa??? It’s already been good for the last 2 years

Just remove Effigy’s chance to remove Hex and leave Damballa alone

It also deals 25% increased damage to Bleeding enemies from a previous Hackapell changes. So now, is it:
25% increased damage to [Bleeding] enemies.
25% increased damage to [Shocked] enemies

or

25% increased damage to enemies under [Bleeding] OR [Shocked].

where is the Templar horse fix sadness

So the new awakening abrasives are not a replacement for stones? If so, that’s quite dissapointing considering stones are so rare from fishing now. (which I still think was one of the worst changes ever, pretty much killed fishing for a lot of people)

Hacka changes look nice, Helm Chopper lvl15 with maxed attribute will deal 1017%x2 per overheat, which is quite nice.

Nak muay should be more viable and more fun to play, but I still think it lacks synergy with other classes.

And the new costumes and weapon skins look very nice, I like them a lot.

I still don’t really see the point of having to “charge” the skill even if they reduce the casting time, they tried to give a little difficulty to the skill so it wasn’t too OP after the changes they made before, but just make it instant, or even better just give us Magnus Exorcism for this class in exchange of one the other Exo skills (except rubric), I mean it’s an exorcist, magnus exorcism even has the word “exorcism” in it …

These nerfs and buffs are just giving people the illusion that things remain fresh without the need to introduce new ranks, classes, skills etc.

Rebuild:
Skill factors decreased
Overheats reduced
CD increased
Buff duration decreased

Half year after rebuild:
Most skills have all the above reverted, some even more buffed than before (Pain Barrier didn’t even have 100% uptime pre rebuild for Swordman C3 and etc). And I’m sure a lot more to come. The only truly overall nerfed skills are healing-related. Soon things will be back to pre-rebuild and we will have 3 classes that are all worth Rank 8 C3 in our builds.

Then some more time later, Rebuild 2 / Combat Update 3 will arrive, and the cycle repeats.
