We don’t know for sure if Transpose is gone from the wizard tree yet, but most likely it will stay with Thaumaturge. I can’t think of any other wizard class that might use Transpose, and it’s harder to make use of it now that we can’t influence our stats manually either.

Maybe the tiles will be casted around the player you select? Like a guaranteed heal tile under the player.

But would make sense to be single target, then Priest would come with more intense heal capabilities and Chaplain (that will not be hidden class anymore) would come with attacks

Edit: looks like base classes will not be 45 levels… They will keep the actual 15 levels

Yeah. That stat auto allocation thing really killed me. I was hoping I could just compensate with ekips, but CON factors for all wizzard classes are crap. Goodbye to my animus and full CON ekips I’ve acquired just for this

It was way too powerful to have full CON wizards that could 1 shot players and block all incoming attacks, while I wish they just fixed CON and block, this is their answer.

oh god, imagine someone going invisible with Shinobi on pvp, using bushin, getting close , locking them with Corsair and then doing a 5 clone back stab 3 times on someone and using cloaking ( from scout ) to get out of there and wait for cooldowns.

I can see the new meta coming.

The new con equivalent will only give hp, def and stamina now though so even if you wanted to full CON the low gains on wiz base will make your build terrible.

Only raw damage, crit damage, heal power, summon multiplier, buff modifier, atk spd, hp and def will be determined by stats.

Everything else will be based on base level, base class modifiers and gear.

Also wonder what will be done with in-game plot that puts Linker under magical stuff, linkers being students of magic…

Surelly they will need to fix the lore.

I’m sure scouts can still use magic lore-wise. It’s just they’re probably using a certain kind of magic that isn’t the same as the magic/faith used by mages or clerics.

Personally I just find it weird that the base class is still called ‘scout’. Like, what does that imply? A Scout is someone who gathers information, but many of the classes under scout are more like specialists.

they don’t care about lore anymore it seems.
They just cut down the game to lure in more generic people from other MMORPGs.

The inevitable consequence will be the loss of a lot of people that stayed for the unique Class choices and lore.

New players won’t stay because of the old problems prevailing through the updates.
This will bleed TOS even more than anything before, I guess TOS is really doomed with these choices.

Let’s not pretend too many people cared about the lore. The word salad mess and typecasted DEMONS BAD HUMANS GOOD storyline makes it really hard for most to actually pay attention while playing through the story and really tempts you to button mash your way through menus.

Not yet.

Reminder that there will also be people happy to have zombies to go along with their skeletons and demon daddy.

People who are still playing up to this point have the resilience of cockroaches (or just too much invested already) so I don’t think this change will make them quit. As for new players we can’t really tell at this point how their reception of the game will change and you probably will never be able to really see it the same way they would cause you wouldn’t be a new player anymore unless you get amnesia.

I know for a fact that my friend, who I only introduced to the game two weeks ago, is just as hyped for these changes as I am. He’s probably not going to be too happy about having all his hard work on the appraiser AND bullet marker quests done for his first character, but one of his biggest complaints when starting out was that it would take him way too long to unlock the class he really wanted to play (bullet marker).

A lot of players have to endure those harsh quests or buy stupid vouchers to unlock it, as one of them that did all except for Nak i’m not even mad. What gets me sad is to know i won’t be able to play my favorite build ever again as Linker and Thaumaturge were taken away from Wizard tree and have Scout as base, now my Sage has nothing to sustain it and no other class appeals to me as a substitute.

Could always try taking Featherfoot if you want sustain, though I don’t think they have any synergy with Sage…yeah the removal of thaum/linker from wizards will cause a lot of classic builds to have to adapt a very different sort of playstyle. Featherfoot is the ONLY sustain option in the entire wizard tree now.

Fix the engine or RIP. Also, scout class is a salad.

I don’t see the Scout base class as a problem. Using swords? Maybe. But it is so, so weird for me to see magical-related classes using those skills alongside other DPS classes.

Like, imagine Schwarzer Reiter also using Lifeline and Enchant Lightning. It is so weird.

Like, Bullet Marker use magic through its bullets, but not like magic itself ("enchanting " something). Mixing those type of classes is what doesn’t makes sense to me

Maybe I am worried too much, taking actual skills in consideration. Hope those magical-sound skills of Enchanter and Linker will be turn into something else.

I know that, under their lore, Linker, Enchanter and Thauma don’t use magic, but they develop their “art” to fight around that and to be considered magicians, even though it doesn’t use magic itself.

The core of the build was Linker-Thaum and Sage just fit perfectly with the support nature of the build and gave me a small punctual damage i needed here and there, i also like how i can use my wizard skills for further support but with the build split and half all the satisfying skills i had will be gone. I had it as Enchanter before and despite being a good support class it didn’t clicked on the fantasy i wanted to play and even if i pick it Scout won’t click.

What really got me into that build is that it was a great support class that had some active gameplay in an unconventional way and also felt like a high level wizard as magic was used by taking the essence of it opposed to the traditional elemental control (and yes, i didn’t took Earthquake for that).

Well, what’s even worse is that they took away Cleric Classes just to refill the Wizard Ranks.

This whole update is pretty much uncalled for and worse than we could’ve imagined it. Skills deleted, a lot of Classes shifted and all for naught.

In my opinion it would’ve been better if they kept the Wizard and Cleric Classes in their places, they were already at the right place to bring life to the game.
The real problem were Archer and Swordsman, which now became a mess because they took Classes to put them in the new tree, and because they knew that they had to replace them they stole them from Cleric&Wizard, too, to lighten the bleed.

Still, it’s just strange they tried to do a perfect 17/17/17 on Cleric/Swordsman/Wizard and then put that miserable Archer and Scout for show.
If they planned to have discrepancy in the number of Classes, why not leave Wizard and Cleric intact and just keep refilling Archer & Swordsman + add some new Classes for Scout?

Instead, they messed up the hopes and dreams and favorite builds with their changes.
Base Class is no longer an identity but an aggravating evil since it lowers your overall stats of the build (modifiers are added and then divided by the number of Classes) which will destroy all hopes on diverse build options.

Now you have to look and choose exactly the Classes with the highest modifiers of stats you need or you will be destroyed by your build choice since stats are now granting huge amount of bonus percentages (10 INT/STR will now add +5% attack or damage if I read that correctly).

So far for the 560 build options.
