Because you need full 10 seconds of not getting hit to deal that 2047%.
not to mention you can not do anything else within those 10 seconds. period
Yet evocation and Summon Familiar are Dark and they also do not line up.
Fireball, Flame Ground, Fire Pillar are Fire property, they also cannot match the ratio of the Sorc skills.
Same deal with Heal.
It also still wouldnât explain a different ratio between 1436 Fireball and 1030 Fireball both at 465% skill factor.
If Possession doesnât need channeling I would say that it isnât a bad skill after all.
The damage is akin to the new Mikoâs 10sec Hamaya, which is around the same damage range with 30 + ([Skill Level] - 1) Ă 3.6. (max 44.4%). But unlike possession, once it hits the ground, the cleric is able to do other things while the damage still continues.
I do believe that channeled, multi hit aoe skills need slightly more damage to be more worth the additional âriskâ they come with, even when the cooldown is lower than others at 20secs. They shouldnât be treated like the same group as other âfire and forgetâ type of multi hit aoes.
For most âcast-and-forgetâ multihits (Frrost cloud, hamaya, incinerate, broom trap etc) Iâd agree with you. But for a chanelling multi-hit skill, thereâs gotta be some sort of benefit for not being able to do anything else for itss duration.
Worse yet, itâs a chanelling skill which locks you in place and can be interrupted (in this sense, itâs weaker than say Retreat Shot or Rush - both mobile uncancelable channels - but similar to psychic pressure and gravity pole).
If thatâs not enough, itâs area of effect is very small when compared to the other similar ranks examples Iâve talked before, so yeah, right now Possession is likely the single worst multi-hit skill available, but definetely true for the channeled ones.
Sometimes I think people somehow overlook the fact that they need to play the class before making comments.
Thanks a lot for providing the numbers! I donât have a kTest account myself so I had to rely on videos all this time. Good to know someone on kTest is also trying to figure out the formula.
Ok, first thing Iâd like the point out is that the â0.xâ in your first table and in your third table is exactly the same. What you forgot to include is the fact that Zolem is Earth element, which means your Fireball dealt +50% extra damage to it. Multiplying 3106 with 1.5 we get 4659, exactly the amount of damage you said you did. That means level has no factor whatsoever.
Now letâs compare it with your 2nd table. 5008*1.5 is 7512, which doesnât quite match with the 7536 damage that you got. This could mean that attack is a factor in 0.x, but the difference is so minor that I canât help but feel like something is wrong here. Did you have any buff when you tested this? Any property attack on your equipments?
EDIT: After comparing with the Desmodus damage, I found out that interestingly enough it was dealing exactly 75% damage itâs supposed to deal. I went to check Desmodusâs element and voila, apparently itâs Earth, the same as Zolemâs.
I think this is enough to confirm that with the same atk and defense you will get the same 0.x regardless of the skill/class you use.
i find that A LOT of people simply cant apreciate that multi hit skills are strong because of their hitcount and not by their skill factor, even if a skill multi hit doesnt break the 100% count, if you have 5k attack and hit 20 times thats skill will end up doing A LOT of damage :l
Agree, which is why IMC now is trying to balance multi hit skills against single hit skills so that they arenât too far away from each other. Everything needs to be taken into account including total damage, cooldown timers, area of effect, affected targets, any other prerequisites etc.
Like for this possession case, at least some consideration of damage is needed since there is an added requirement of channeling the skill to hit the max amount of damage. A full 10 secs of channeling poses certain amount of risks and requires more setup than other multi hit aoes.
Come to think of it, sadhu can actually be saved if they can make OOB attacks function as a separate entity. Meaning as the main body canât move around yet still able to cast skills, the spirit can still auto attack while the main body casts spells. (A reverse kind of âsorcererâ perhaps?)
Eg. Main body channels Possession while OOB spirit continues auto attacking.
would agree⌠if it didnt also had a strong CC asociated with it wich maybe why it also has a lower damage, CC+ low CD + high multi hit. but this is just the second rebalance, we could se stuff shift drastically again later, like how throw gu pot feels SOOOO WEAK :l
Is Possession CC based on monster desync/too many hits or true CC? I mean, Hamaya have a CC effect because the hit count/second. How does Possession works with this?
Although nice to use, I kinda wish IMC removed these desync/hit-count based CC, especially on bosses.
as far as im aware, possession binds enemies and stops their movement
Are you referring to channeling skills mostly?
Because iâve never had a problem with using Effigy while spamming Spirit AA, or even Cure/Carnivory.
Possession is supposed to bind/root opponents to their location, kind of similar to gravity pole without the pull.
But like you said, other multi hit aoes due to desyncs already âsoft-CCâ the monsters, like Retreat shot for example. This kind of under-mines the value the supposed âhard CCâ which possession comes with.
Meaning I can cast spells with a cast timer or channel skills while AAing with OOB. Like cast Merkabah while AAing, or channel miko dance while AAing. It opens so much more options and combos and makes Sadhu really unique.
Oh i see, yeah. That would definately help Sadhu quite alot.
The number 1 killer in my opinion is the 0 defense; that coupled with an inability to move is crazy with the new formulaâŚ
For a solo run, he used a few potions! Really appreciate it.
fricking elite monsters can drain your SP and Stamina wtfâŚ
Chrono Quicken got nerfed
Hi guys,
Is Inquisitor dead after the balance of ktos?Howâs the state of the class?
Also about hackapell, is it viable with the balance?
