kTOS General Thread v2.0

Still incredible strong with linker, pretty nice.

That char only took a little bit of Phys Damage from Lavenzard (Lv290 DG) despite wearing [what I assume to be] the HG Lv170 Cloth Armor.

I see tons of people still die easily from that and they’re wearing Lolopanthers. Assuming crap or minimal investment, getting hit for 1K+ only [with our current system] required you to have somewhere around 2.8K+ P.Def.

It looks like we may not be getting hit with 1s anymore, but it actually looks easier to get [tougher].

Additionally, I hope that with the shared [map exploration]'s arrival, comes the proper donning of points for Adventure Journal from it. I don’t mind being overtaken in AJ Rank, but it better not be through something abuse-able. I’m eager to find out.

True. It’s the War Mage set (99 p def on top, 99 p def bottom, 77 p def boots) + Prakeh Gloves (99 p def). Does the anvil boost also applies to armors? If you get too much p def from enhancing armors that should be the reason to get a high p def without a shield.

A friend pointed something I didn’t pay attention, one of the bosses are from Ice Property, that’s why the damage is a bit greater.

That’s true and lavenzard being ghost armor also grants more dps, but farming wise pyro still going to be the choice for my thauma it seems.
Also the anvil buff also applies to armors. Transcedence also gives +Pdef +Mdef on armors but it does not give CON anymore.

I’m curious to see the Link+Magic Missile combo which I use for farming.

He have a +4 Agny (from old videos) and Stage 3 Staff, I wouldn’t assume he have transcended armors with a T3 weapon.

I want to see someone with no magic amp or max attack variance attack a mob and know exactly what that persons Mattack is -_-.

^0.x you will be discovered…

If the removal of the quickcast atribute was a bug i believe that it still going to be fairly strong, i will test both builds later.

Given the new SP consumption, Windia Rod might be a viable and better choice over orange staff/rod for cleric/wizards since it gives 60 SPR.

https://tos.neet.tv/items/143120

Higher damage from orange is better on paper, but if you aren’t able to deal damage because you run out of SP every couple of rotations and the potions do not restore it fast enough then you might end up having better dps with more SPR.

@STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_Yuri one thing I’d also suggest is increasing the TBL sessions duration during the Reset event, for example, to two or three hours.

A lot of people would also want to test how skills works in PvP against high defenses and different situations. Allowing more TBL time would make experimenting things on multiple characters possible and as well make it easier to deal with problems such as losing a day because bad match-making and other issues.

Aren’t the armor changes going to make people go for Cloth all the more? I understand leather will have some “DPS” benefits but going Cloth and getting way more MDEF now on top of PDEF would be so good.

Add to that the fact that Aspersion is just sold by Pardoners for a very low price, compared to having to go 5x or more Nuaele cards just to get the same effect for MDEF or am I wrong on this?

Damage calculations are not linear anymore… Having sht loads of mdef doesnt help, I would be more concerned about pdef since it can crit and you cant minimize it to 1dmg anymore.

With this being said, then shouldn’t it also apply to PDEF calculations?

Doesn’t this not coincide with what you just said?

So Crit Resist is what we should be looking for now then? Or still no?

BTW: Genuinely confused here, not mocking you or anything.

It depends on your focus. If it’s pvp, I believe that with these changes it might be a 1 shot galore regardless :joy_cat:

You found some videos of kTest players right? Anyone you’ve seen testing the limits of the new way def/mdef works?

Curious what these benefits are, they aren;t stated in the ktest tosneet.

[quote]3-3. Main Armor Stats & Accessories

Currently, the main stat offered by upper/lower body armor is physical defense (magic defense being merely an added option), with gloves providing accuracy and boots evasion. This doesn’t always allow for a good stat distribution, so our plan is to apply physical and magic defense as main stats to all upper/lower body armor, gloves and boots, while removing the extra magic defense from plate armor and the additional physical defense from cloth armor.

Plate armor will offer higher physical defense, while cloth armor will provide better magic defense; meanwhile, leather armor will have lower physical and magic defense, but include other attack-focused features. These changes are also expected to affect existing attributes related to armor types. [/quote]

Lifted straight from: https://treeofsavior.com/news/?n=920 - I just assumed everyone actually read this in it’s entirety, sorry about that.

I think, since the damage formula is logarithmic, after a certain damage reduction (def or mdef) the reduction on damage is negligible. This works for both physical and magical damage. But in terms of physical, it can crit. So the lowest possible damage would be higher for physical if we take same number of damage for both. So even if its a little change I suggest stacking pdef more. A mdef value of 4k should be enough which can be achieved with plate armors.

-Also HP is now a lot more valuable because you cant reduce damages to 1, so you need a pool to sustain damage with heals, plate helps with that.

any inputs on how glassmole or chapparition card interacts with the skillfactor%?

Are they being factored after final calculation? or before?

before, they increase your base atk/matk

The leather set from 270+ hunting grounds for example gives dex and crit rate in every piece, the atribute its the same tough only granting evasion.
