kTOS General Thread v2.0

that’s a little confusing ><

This post has been omitted since it’s incorrect on the understanding of T1 modifiers (specifically Claymore).

you can see on tosbase it has the extra 5% by default. For some reason when you increase aoe with claymores attribute it increases the 5 to 8. So I was just wondering what is it applied from or to or is it just a free be. Thank you for calculating everything for me though .

It’s the same thing with heal as well I think.

Yeah that sounds completely wrong to me. Have you actually calculated the damage to come to this conclusion? Because that would make Claymore’s damage modifier work completely different to how any other modifier in the game works.

You’re welcome to enlighten me on the proper calculations. I’d appreciate corrections if it’s incorrect.

Edit: I double-checked, and you are correct. I had a misconception of T1 modifiers and the bonus does happen later on in the formula, after defense pierce. I’d still like an example calculation for Claymore (or any skill that uses T1, such as Meteor or Stone Shot) if you have a moment to provide one for clarity.

Is there any ingame picture of the newest hairstyles?

Does it really matter, so basically ToS has boiled down to an;
whos going to look the prettiest when they pull the plug contest sigh

Players get hooked in a game due to reasons

For me, aesthetic is one of them. So yes, it does matter. Not to mention that it’s related to the most recent patch so I’m still on-topic.

Implying that isn’t the premise of dress-up MMOs

I feel you’re fishing with the wrong bait, mate.

In any case, I’m more interested in how the currently playing Koreans feel about the Mobile Version. Granted, Korean culture when it comes to reactions aren’t much different than ours, but I’d still like to see it.

It’s pretty straightforward. Generally everything is lumped together before multipliers occur. The main exceptions are tier 0 modifiers that apply before defense reduction (pretty much just Split Shot), and the fact that the crit multiplier applies before additional damage from crit attack, elemental attack, bonus against X type target, etc. is added so those are never multiplied by crit, and damage that appears as its own text (Concentrate and Blessing) are added at the very end so they’re never multiplied by anything. For any other multiplier just assume it multiplies all of the flat damage. So claymore’s base skill damage is multiplied by its own multiplier, it isn’t just physical attack. Crit attack and other bonus damage sources (except concentrate and blessing) also get multiplied.

The significant thing to speculate on would be whether these attributes add another modifier of a different tier, which would make it multiplicative and much more powerful (I.E., 200% * 150% = 300%, rather than 200% + 50% = 250%); but that seems unlikely.

All the same reactions. “Why are you releasing a mobile version when your game is dying” sort of thing. If anything, ToS gets more hate in Korea than it does here.

Izat Gritta’s hair or MercPost Manager’s?

Generally expected that they’d get more hate over there than basically the same 10 people here ideally. Unless this is an answer to that chinese ripoff, I really don’t see why they’d even do this.

They also went from announcing multi-threading support to that, which is just bizzare pacing. I know development teams are working on different things, but why the bloody hell are they working on those two things indiscriminately?

And their “optimization” still doesn’t use the GPU. And that guy hired to work on it comes from JTOS, after pocketing money from JTOS launch. So where have the previous money from ITOS launch gone to?

We basically funded a mobile game for the gooks. If it fails, nothing will happen because all the money came from us already :information_desk_person:

Given that the promotion video was released on Nexon’s YouTube Channel I guess the mobile version is driven by Nexon and might even be programmed by some Nexon subgroup, which could lead to that it might work better than the PC Version. X)

The only thing that makes me worry is that it is called “Remake”.
