If description is correct then it lowers actual stats, so it should apply before defences. But it is single targer and I doubt it can be used on bosses as well as I doubt it would work correctly in PvP. And for sure in final version of PvP they can’t leave it as it is.
I hope there would be lots of changes for PvP, starting from adding two different queues for gear and skill oriented players and finishing with adjusting skills and gear to work different way in PvP and PvE in order to be balanced (such system is implemented in GW 2 and in many other games and it works just well). Also a great idea would be adding LoL like leagues and premade teams in order to let people have fun against enemies of equal power. Though it will require quite high number of players, but I hope if ToS developers properly polish the game, build stable economy w/o hardcore p2w issues, it will truly shine and grab at least several hundreds or maybe even a few milion players in a few years which would make this possible). I may be too optimistic, but it is really a game I have very high expectations for, so it would be real shame for me if it fails at some stage.
For sure right now balance and gameplay is far from ideal but I’ve already seen quite a lot of potentially great game design ideas which if implemented properly would bring this game a huge success. For now it only requires a tons of work and maybe a few more years to uncover it’s full beauty, but it already looks so fun even at this beta stage with all those unbalanced mechanics and sometimes bizzare stuff.
So sad I’m unable to play on Korean server, that’s why I’m looking forward for intrenational beta to finally take part in it’s first years of pure unbalanced fun)
