If part of your job responsibility includes an escalation process for when you’ve detected an issue the community has made you aware of, then this 100 post thread only like an hour old should be more than enough evidence for you to escalate this issue now.

You are literally losing players and dollars every minute you keep your player base banned. Many of which will not come back even after you unban them.

This will be my last post on this issue. I will complete it by repeating once again that I do not believe you or IMC fully understands the scope of decision you are following here and is about to make a critical mistake. Malcolm Gladwell writes about how horrible events only happen when a cascade of failures and mistakes happen in a row. You released an untested patch Tuesday, a correction Thursday which made the problem worse, also untested, you didn’t bring the servers down for ~12 hours while people abused it further, had a 24 hour unscheduled downtime, then you banned everyone who played 4-7 days to ‘investigate.’

You are staring critical failure in the face and may only have one more chance before it blows up on you. I direly request that you escalate this issue to your supervisors.

Innocent? Every player is innocent in this. The bug was entirely on your end as the company running the game. The players did not cheat in any way. All we did was kill mobs in the normal fashion. We played within the confines of the game. And now we’re being treated like we are cheaters and being banned for a week? Come on, that’s not how you run a business.

Read the terms of service. If something is bugged, you report it and stop. If you continue and abuse it then that is exploiting a bug to your own advantage.

You agreed to this when you started playing the game. This is standard for any MMORPG.

@STAFF_Ines What sort of priority system are you guys using when deciding who’s account gets looked at first?

Stop what, playing the game? The entire DPK system was bugged. Most enemies in the game have a DPK item and could have been bugged. It was such a large bug that it absolutely is not the fault of players.

you abused the system. your mistake… learn the differnece

finally a guy who understand the system :smile_cat:

so we need stop 12hrs on the game and sit on klaipeda for 12hrs in a farming game? dude 1hrs is ok but 12hrs omg!

Abuse the system in this case was get unlucky enough to have any DPK item drop for you for the couple days where most high level mobs were dropping DPK items every few kills, ok, sure, makes sense. Ban them all, that’s only most of the people that log in and play every day, no harm.

My god, I can’t stop laughing.
This decision is ■■■■, and now is too late for a rollback. They don’t even try to hide their disgust to their player base.

Thanks to IMC and it’s desision tos keeps, only, losing its charm.

Why should you restrict people from playing because of YOUR mistake?
This is seriously awful…
This game is FUN but IMC is shattering the player base, how can anyone trust their money or even continue to play if there is such response every time you guys mess up.

Can’t you see this game is designed for people to spend hundred of hours to achieve nothing? Just to have a little personal fun.
I mean, it does not feel right to “work” a month to make a single weapon, not a day too ok, but some people does not have time for all this BS happening, most people just wanna play some regular game and do their dailies and whatever, and now you forbid most of them because of mistakes…

I can see you are trying to be transparent with the community but if you cannot make a rollback than DO NOT try to equalize the game this way due to mistakes this huge, people are losing more than earning from this. Game GAPS will occur with the economy, IMC can’t simply JUSTICE HAMMER everything while people stay mad because they can’t simply play, doesn’t work like this.

I played all day those days and didn’t get banned. Only specific drops were bugged and I didn’t abuse them. Even if I did, I would’ve dropped the items the instant I realized it was bugged.

There’s tons of stuff you can do in game and not abuse the bug. Only specific monsters had the bug. Do some dungeons, do some missions, run ET, do saalus, go questing, whatever you want. The people that got banned for abusing it deserved it.

I won’t sit here arguing about it though. I’m gonna go have fun in game.

So I drove up to a McDonalds drive-in, and a BigMac that normally goes for $4 was only $0.40. I ordered 50 BigMacs and paid for it with $20. Then, the next day, the cops showed up and threw me in jail for a week because I had committed fraud. I should have known better. =)

The DPK bug was not only reported, but also supposedly fixed during the temporary maintenance that happened a couple days ago. Once that maintenance was over, the drops were purely IMC’s responsibility. Players don’t even have any way to check drop rates or determine whether there’s a bug without mass farming the items in question.

Nah it wasn’t only specific monsters, it was almost all mobs in the game. You just didn’t grind anything in the overworld if you didn’t get banned. Have fun with your dead game once most people have quit again.

I can guarantee that 90%+ of people that abused the bug did not report it, and continued to abuse it after they realized it.
