There is nothing wrong with having/using an afk necro. There is something wrong when you run 3 simultaneously.
Care to elaborate? I’m not breaking any rules, all accounts are owned by me, as well as the computers I use to run them. There’s also no macros, third party software, or any other form of automation, I’m in complete compliance.
Is there nothing wrong with people that are so fat they can’t even walk themselves around without using the handicapped people’s hover round wheel chairs? They don’t break any rules either, but I’m going to say 75% of them do so by choice being so disfunctional that you not only clog up the isles of people trying to shop but also are this disgustingly ugly sight to see which is almost immoral of you taking an actual handicapped person’s vehicle too.
Apples to oranges here but still the same principle with Sorc/Necro botting for silver.
Good thing I’m not botting then right?!
Look, you can sugar coat it all you want and IMC can say what ever in their support responses too. I am going to say this frankly that if you are not there at the computer for long periods of time and it’s doing work for you especially if you’re using multiple accounts that’s being a scumbag and pseudo botting. Good thing this company doesn’t have morals and some real staff enforcement right? Because you’d be banned.
You can do the same, speak out against it all you want, but ultimately its just players using mechanics provided to them by the game itself with no outside interference (speaking about AFK necros). Which, regardless of company wouldn’t ever warrant a ban UNLESS they explicity stated it was unintentional for something that is provided by the game to ALL players to be used as such.
I could maybe understand your argument, but each and every person who plays this game has the ability to go out and make an AFK necro, this isn’t something thats reserved for a few special people in the game that the GMs decide to overlook.
Comparing it to botting is laughable.
I know. I could just eat tons of food and become a fat slob that uses the Walmart hover round and they would let me do it. But guess what? I’m not going to do it because of the principle that it’s kinda immorally wrong. You’re sitting there making it unable for low level people to do quests and clogging up the whole map with your unsightly fat rolls all over the place.
You don’t have to do this and could make money other ways which I’m absolutely sure of since Orsha is such a low population someone like you already controls the market there anyways. So now you’re going to also stink up the place with 5 VM boxes of Necros? It’s just so bad man and actually laughable to think you feel this is alright because anyone can do it and that justifies the means.
These people prolly think it’s “alright” too~
None will come back to this shitty managed game until bots and hacks are dealt with.

Small sample of Orsha players botting, why aren’t they banned at all? The Orsha community is so small, i’m sure you will recognize these names.
I guess by that logic we could also have farmers with larger fields pull all of their crops without the use of machines, or workers because some of the smaller ones can’t afford the help. I’ve run numbers of alts through that map without any of my necros actively running and finished the quests in roughly the same amount of time before any of them were there. I’ve also let a large number of lower level players whom I have 0 association join parties with my necros and leech exp from them, they seemed pretty happy about the situation to me, I’ve even scheduled leeches for them letting players know when I’ll be logging them all on next. Hell most afkers there have no problems letting lowbies into their party…so what damage are we causing?
Personally I don’t mess with the market at all prices fluctuate way too much to actually “control” it like you suggest. Also, like I’ve mentioned before I don’t and never have used any third party software, I’m using 3 desktops and 2 laptops.
Except farmers usually don’t have to share the land they are harvesting within a community. This is you making five accounts to farm five times the amount of someone else within a public spot. Also, in this situation it would be an ethical problem of you using machines instead of paying workers or doing it yourself just because you can since nobody enforces laws. Therein lies the problem you keep skirting around about morality practices on your behalf just to maximize your own gains.
In any other type of real mmo if someone had five accounts running automated or AFK farming some how I’m pretty sure you would be banned or told to stop. Things aren’t like that in Tree of Savior because this is like literally a third world country here and the government is just as corrupt as the citizens. Everyone whose not corrupt has fled the borders already because it’s so bad.
From hacking to RMTing and now botting. Yep, any group that does this can simply finish ET.
You might as well just make a guide on how to do these things instead of giving people advice on how to complete ET, since it won’t be possible unless they utilise one of the three illegal methods.
hue hue hue, what a false sense of achievement to feel proud of.
Anyways, to summarise their strategy for completing ET, do the following:
Ta da! If you complete one of the above method, you’ll have a chance in completing ET like these guys.
(feels amazing to help out the community)
Until rank 9
Welp agree to disagree, sorry we couldn’t come to some kind of middle ground with this. I still keep my stance there’s nothing wrong with it, and I promise the second any of the IToS staff speaks out against the use of AFK necros you won’t see a single one of them log on to afk again. I will however still be using them for shards
That being said, if you or anyone else needs a leech in the future, feel free to hit me up for an invite.
I think tos community is split because of different audiences.
In western mmo people voiced loud enough their reasons and why they want legit environment and real ethic management including the forsaken forum.
To put things very simply, in Asian mmo since more than 10-15 years ago I didn’t check, the customers prefer p2w model, the games provides bots programs for euros or free, afk farming is also legit…
I 'm not taking any stance but just saying.
So if everyone put as much effort into cheating the fk out of the game as that crew did, then we would all get along and make the game a better game?
Let’s just praise all the people with multiple computers running multiple accounts and gold credit cards for their dedicated time and money in “beating the game”
Is this your logic?
I’m sure some skill was involved in “beating ET”, but give those same gears and attribute levels to another team and they’ll accomplish the same thing.
/Hue.
Calm yourself before you get caught up in generalities, this ‘crew’ did not ‘cheat the fk out of the game’ it started with an idea, that idea was supported by many within Inertia, and it was a monumental effort from everyone within Inertia to bring our lead group to the Completion of 40F. You won’t understand the minute details from start to finish, you couldn’t, so I understand your position of crying “cheating the fk out of the game” and don’t fault you for adolescent ignorance.
You should simply play at your own pace, I live a very comfortable life and choose to support IMC in my leisure… this allows me to push my char to its top end limits. This is what I enjoy, much like maybe you enjoy a nice tall beer at your local pub from time to time. But that shouldn’t bother you so much, and it shouldn’t be a surprise to you that because of this we are strong enough to complete end game content.
The option is available to you as well. But if deflecting your anger and believing we “cheated to the top” helps you sleep at night then by all means - it is your prerogative.
