INT vs Every other stat

Good argument there, meteor does indeed need a setup (e.g. psycho, chrono), but it’s a team battle, unless the opposing team dedicates a char to deal exclusively with you, you’re gonna be fine spamming your skills from behind while them dps crowd the enemy.

Sounds like you’d need a dedicated team for that though but I’m not sure if PvP is random teamates or not :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah I can see where you’re coming from with team battles just covering your DPS by tanking.

Psycho/Chrono gameplay is far more superior than Ele’s coz you get to be more creative given their skill set. But I’m biased. haha

Pff who cares for Psycho. It’s all about the Pyro. BURN BABY BUURNNN  :fire: … I also like the red cloak they get :flushed:

In case you guys were wondering on meteor’s application in PvP, it’s actually quite good from what I’ve heard. You can charge it up at the start, and hold it at full charge until someone walks in your sight. Then you just release, and they die! Sounds pretty fun to me(not for the person on the receiving end lol).

cuz mages are op high ranks.

I feel as if there is no need to give Int another modifiable trait.
See, Int is supposed to be a measure of magical power-- how well you manipulate and use the power obtained from your Spirit.

I believe a good number of cleric, wizard, and offshoot circle skills also buff other traits, but are heavily reliant on magical power or Int.
In essence, these skills and spells are the additional traits of the stat.

Dexterity has dodge, accuracy, and critical right?
Intelligence has the skills it modifies to match.
Slow can reduce enemy critical avoidance, quicken can increase critical occurrence, gravity pole can increase dodge, and Monstrance can increase Dexterity itself.

Essentially, it’s your class that determines the useful traits of Int; however, dexterity, strength, spirit, and constitution are static and unchanging.

INT gives magick dps and aoe ration every 20 INT or so.

I playded wizard and had a weapon which gave me +1 aoe ration but i had 3 aoe ratio in totall with 40 int.

Im sure INT increase aoe ratio because i noticed it while applying my points.

BTW: Aoe Ratio means you aoe spells can hit more targets. Example: you can hit maximal 5 monster per aoe with + 3 aoe ratio you can hit 8.

+1 for this man. Been reading about this for awhile now w/o really knowing what it does

Idk what is the range of Joint, but it must be short (or break if people get apart) since everyone says Linker is kind of bad for PvP.

Simple. Bcoz most skills in themselves have fair nuf dmg to do the jobwatch this: Full CON Elementalist dishing 7k dmg at once
The full CON Ele (the one holding a sword) only did big damage on Meteor and Electrocute, and the later was nerfed already. All of her other skills were doing like 300~400 damage, tho.

I think, and hope, they will nerf Meteor base scaling anyways.

Sounds like you’d need a dedicated team for that though but I’m not sure if PvP is random teamates or not
There are 5v5 random and 5v5 premade options for now.

INT gives magick dps and aoe ration every 20 INT or so.
No, it doesn’t. I just bought a stat reset, went full INT and got no AoE Attack bonus

well than you need to explain to me why i had 3 aoe ratio

im sure im right

I had 40 INT and 20 SPR but i dont think spr gives another attribut

3 AoE attack is default for Wizard and Cleric (Warrior has 4 and Archer has 0). I had it after reseting my stats and with no equipments.

I raised my INT to 160 and had no othe benefits but MATK increase.

Also, AoE Attack is not a direct increase for +1 monster you hit with your skills. It might have something to do with it, but it seems to be more complicated than that, since monster size also affects how many you can hit, or how many hits you do.

DEX is OP, best stat

I wonder why they remove the Agi stats though.

Personally think that FFXIV provides a good stats examples, though it is boring as jobs are fixed with stats, Ideally proposed stats as below:

Strength - Increase Physical melee attack potency
Dexterity - Increase Physical ranged attack potency
Vitality - Maximum HP
Intelligence - Increase Attack Magic potency
Mind - Increase Healing Magic potency
Piety - Maximum MP

Since we have four groups - Archer (DEX), Cleric (SPR), Wizard (INT), and Swordman (STR),

Vit should increase bag limit since it should encourage player to add VIT to have high HP maximum and bag limit as these are crucial for every player.

Please advise it’s pro and cons through

You saw +1 aoe ratio because you were wearing a staff.

AoE ratio does not increase the number of targets of an AoE, it increases the effective range of your AoEs

@Satoru there is literally no reason to nerf Meteor. it’s your reward for going ele twice, has a long ass CD and a long cast time. It hits big because it’s meant to hit big. It’s also ele’s only way to overkill anything.

They don’t need to nerf it on PvE tho. IMC said the PvP now was for testing basic features, so it wouldn’t have any modifiers, which means they intend to implement those later.

And you bet Meteor will be one of the skills getting a modifier for PvP.

If it’s weight limit that you mean then be glad coz it does.

and why i had 3 aoe ratio than?

This was answered already. If you also look at your weapon, you can see how much AoE ratio your weapon adds. Staffs automatically add 1 AoE ratio.
