It increases magic damage pretty well, the krisis crit damage buff as a passive that also allows it to give up to +48 Magic amp and the damage bonus is pretty large, when i used it on a wizard in my party her basic attack damage moved from 75-80 to 100-120.
@Garrnett
Magic Amplification is a random number that is addâed at the end of your magic damage attacks (Wiz) and skills.
If you have a skill that does magic damage damage, and an item that gives 100 MAMP, your final damage, after MDEF calculation, will have a bonus random number from 0~100.
So if you use a skill that multi hits like cure or that lighting krivis attack it will add 0-48 post mitigation damage on every single hit? thatâs pretty damn good for being available so early.
So thatâs what wizards are good at? Nuking big groups of mobs at once? Is there something wrong with that? Lightening Iâm not too sure about itâs initial cast range, but I know the range it has from one target to the next is â â â â â â â gigantic.
Iâll still retract my statement that their AoE is safe because they can do it from afar though. Itâs safe because they can EITHER do it from afar, or they can plop it down and run around in circles while it does damage for them. Either one is quite useful compared to sitting in a monsterâs face.
However I will agree with Satoru, that DEX has a bit too many good things packed into, and that Monk has too much damage for all the utility it gets.
Ehhh you realize Cryo is mostly picked for his CC, thaumaturge is kinda a support and well Idk about Sorc tbh. Not all mage classes will be âhur durr dpsâ.
Wiz>Pyr>Psy>Psy>Chrono>?>?>?>? 2:1 ratio con/int
Con OP OP - any half decent PvP player knows how OP Con is - good luck to all the PvP Wizs who wanna go for full int or even Spr/Int
No class will go for tons of Spr so low int Wiz = viable
Con > Spr Con gives Hp/Crit res Spr gives nothing and more nothing and oh ya a lil mdef lets stack that to 300 mdef and deal no serious damage at all
1on1 nobody can beat you - probably a falconer but thats just theory crafting now 5v5 you need a good position and rely on your teammates to be effective good timing good position = win - mindlessly jumping around and pressing skills = death even with Con
So Int compared to Con i would always go for double the Con as a Wiz - if i wanna PvP / if i wanna grind mobs i go for full int for the sake of dealing a few dps more - since we get a status reset one can simply go for full int and switch stats as soo nas cap is hit.
If Wiz ever got a mana shield (not reflect shield) that uses SP instead of HP, SPR would be OP
But thatâs not going to happen so eh.
I think thatâs the case, applies for every attack.
Zalciaiâs Attribute is pretty good for that level indeed. My glove gives 29 mamp, and some staffs I saw that gives it have lower base matk to make up for.
@sebastian_sanders199 how about reading properly? I was talking about Tsumoâs generalization of âWizard is an AoE damage machineâ. I know the choices I made.
Sure but lets go after the stats that counter the stats.
Str increases damage which goes through dodge rates and physical defense. Str increases crit damage that has to go through crit resistance
Dex increases accuracy and dodge in the same stat so dex counters itself
Con reduces the effects of str and dex
Int, well int increases flat damage which is only reduced by spr ( not a very sought out stat unless magic class).
So there you go, they did it so classes could have advantage into others so that you need to look for good strategies for group/party play. In a way int is going to hit classes that didnt invest into spr very hard while classes that invest into str and dex have their damaged reduced by con users.
So yeah, there is nothing wrong with int , its quite strong actually.
I shall forever be a INT Wiz
with some CON on the side neheheh I MUST OUT DAMAGE EVERYONE!!!
But seriously, CON is pretty OP
it also counters INT doesnât it? Considering you have so much more HP that they canât actually kill you while you whittle them down?
Indeed finally somebody says it too good job! Con is just so OP for Wiz or lets be nice and call it âbalancedâ
Have to see wich bonuses high end gear gives but for now Con for Wiz = OPâŚehh balanced
@sephi4321
Thanks I knew Psycokino would be semi useful cc in pvp. I was thinking more Psycokino plus Sorcerer so I can hold someone while my beast hits them, but itâs only theory.
@Satoru
Oh⌠I saw in the patchnotes Psychic Pressure moves the Fireball on ToS Fanbase, I was thinking it was a way to get rid of it =/.
Guys, would Linker 2+Chronomancer be good? Long range no need to aim quicken buff andâŚ
Oracle, Barbarian, Chronomancer combo, Summon monsters, quick kill, then bring them back to life, kill again.
What about Linker>Elementalist->Elementalist? Joint Penalty level 5->Get as many as u can linked->meteor 1 target->all of them take damage. Would that work?

Not only that xD Most important is the Chronomancer tho - the Slow is just so OP in PvP combined with the Quicken - always team up with a 3x Archer - Scout - Rogue - Rogue will always crit no matter what the Crit Resist of the slowed enemy was.
Already got a Monk friend for PvP but nobody of my friends wanna go for the super special Rogue build yet most are into swordsman only

Simple. Bcoz most skills in themselves have fair nuf dmg to do the job
watch this: Full CON Elementalist dishing 7k dmg at once
I probably wonât get Slow because Quicken should have enough of a Crit buff shouldnât it? I mean everyone seems to be going DEX anyways. Also how would you think Back Masking is in PvP? (how is Chronomancer in PvE? Seems a bit weird)
Yeah generally they have enough damage by themselves but if a swordsman goes full CON, that 7k damage wonât kill them in 1 hit
I think itâs better to have a balance to the stats but thatâs just me. Plus, if the Elementalist went 1:1 INT:CON, or any derivation of INT:CON, they would have done more damage but still have retained a lot of their survivability at least IMO.
I dunno man, but to me One-hit KOâs are the mother of imbalances in mmo, and it would seriously hurt the diversity(something which TOS is aiming at) of the game .
I think this is quite a good point. Iâd also like to note SPR BARELY increases your MR. If you go on the tosbase stat calculator, youâll see what I mean.
But isnât that meteor easy to counter now anyways? With the patch, the Meteor skill has a higher cast time doesnât it? Yes, itâs very high damaged but if you see an Elementalist casting (aka floating), you know a Meteor is coming so you can just attack them with an auto attack to get them to stop casting. Unless of course Sure Spell is cast. Then you just need to knock them down with a skill.
Point is casting the Meteor on fully cced people - but i dont think that element. is going to be a âviableâ wiz class in pvp - i am stil la fan of my psycho/chrono and they would have to double the element dmg for me to switch xD
@Garrnett sadly i got no clue how backmasking works in PvP - didn calculate the 6th circle yet - if i go the 2nd circle chrono (wich MIGHT be a must for any pvp addict) i would have to level another wiz for an alche - if i wanna go alche anyways (if the 2nd circle for alche is viable in any way - like adding a neat dps skill or another hard cc) i would go for 3rd psycho - hard decision
