But at the same time its not pay to win to just change classes. It would be the developers fault putting pay to win stuff in the cash shop being fully aware of exactly what they are selling and what those items do. For instance i wanna be the strongest warrioe but i still dont need nor shouldnt need to pay to make that happen. But also in another way they just want to play the strongest type of warrior class combination with a good stat set up just so they know they arent messing up or misssing out on dmg they could have duh to some screw up, without any items even coming into the mix
So you want to turn this game in to pay 2 win?
As much as I like games that are hard, this game is still in beta.
The balance patches come too late or never at all. The developers donât make their intentions too clear since they are Korean and we donât know what they are going to do next.
We need a class reset at least in one way or another. Having to play for another 200 hours to reach where you were because the developers screwed up your build on a whim is bad design.
Canât even call it a game in the state it is right now.
I think itâd be fair to sell circle resets, but you have to start at rank 1. You can keep your character level though.
No, having skill point and class point resets are one thing but job changes should be strictly out of the question. Or maybe allow an item that only allows you to change the LAST rank of your build, so for example youâre rank 7 you can only change your rank 7 decision.
that sounds fair enough
Not when it comes to items but sure when it comes to having a perfecr class build. There is nothing wrong with cookie cutter builds if someone wants to use it. I for one dont wanna level up 200 times and see i crapped my character and would rather have a smooth sailing pve and if bored make an alt that tou can experiment however much you want. Having class change will change nothing but people being more efficient in their leveling. Also having reset them reset to rank 1 is a good draw back like person said
Resetting skills is fine, but not your entire class structure. One of the best things about TOS to me is the class diversity and variety everyoneâs choices are. We donât need a reset that turns everyone into the same OP class, only to get nerfed and then see another FOTM bandwagoners running all around the place.
Resetting circles obviously needs heavy cooldown, like a week or two.
Possibly force players to do an insanely hard quest chain.
Something to discourage players who chose crafting careers to reroll. Make it so hard it might even be impossible for them to do.
Has to be a solo challenge.
Just wow, I made a post about this exact problem months ago and was basically told to shut up.
You people in the community are so slow to react to future problems that I despair for you.
Months ago there were far less people in the forumsâŚ
Wait, i wasnt aware you could change class on ragnarok online paying cash
With a cooldown that low, I see no point in having a cooldown at all.
Because its not a problem. There isnt a single class that is useless on the game.
Also, this is directed to the op:
Step 1:Plague doctor gets nerfed
Step 2: imc devs gather data on how much the nerfs affected PD
Step 3: imc buffs pd a little or leaves him like that if they feel he is in the right spot.
1 last thing, implying u need cookie cutter builds to be âat the topâ is false, and i assure you, the dragoon that made it into top 10 ktos pvp rank got way more recognition than 1st ranked tier plage doctor/ele/cryo. Why? Because if the top 50 is composed of 25 plage doctors/cleri variants, 24 elementalists/cryos/mage variants and 1 dragoon, people gonna think âdamn, this guy must be really good getting there without a fotm classâ.
There was re-awakening. Did you ever play RO at all?
Thereâs tons of classes that are near useless in the game.
People make mistakes or new patch notes come into play.
Forcing us to start all over again is a kiss of death to an MMO.
How is it pay to win at all? Resetting into a different build just means⌠youâre different now. If you were always that build to begin with, youâre just as powerful except you didnât spend any money to do it.
No matter how you slice it, this is purely convenience, like EXP tomes. You pay to not have to grind as long. Thatâs it.
Except if youâre locked into a choice forever, many players will look up guides on how to be OP from the start. AKA cookie cutter builds. They donât want to screw up and be unable to reset, so theyâll play a tried and tested âchoiceâ they know is safe.
How is that for variety? The only way youâll see something different is if the players are stupid and pick a bad build, or they didnât bother deleting their character after the previous seasonâs OP class got nerfed. But youâve already gotten tired of seeing hundreds of those, so theyâre both cookie cutter AND weak.
If the game is well balanced, it wouldnât matter if thereâs resets or not. People will argue about whatâs OP with no consensus, so thereâll be lots of variety from the start or after switching classes.
If the game is terribly balanced, it wouldnât matter if thereâs resets or not. People will determine whatâs OP with strong consensus, so there will be lots of copycats from the start or after they switch to it.
This isnât entirely true, though with the nerfs to Plague Doctor itâs getting closer to being very well balanced!
IMC is quite fair with the exception of a few things. Bloodletting was WAY too strong in PvP. Hopefully they give Stone Skin a PvP nerf as well. Archers and Swordsman will finally be really viable in PvP then.
Does all this make Priests and Plague Doctors bad? No. It makes them fair. They are still very strong classes. They were ruining PvP though with these two skills. The leaderboards are proof of that.
If all you want to do is keep resetting to be whatever the strongest class is, youâre the exact reason resets shouldnât exist in the first place. Pick a class because you like what they do, not because of how strong you think their numbers are at the time.
IMC will balance things out to be fair. If that makes you like your class less, you picked it for the wrong reasons. You donât deserve a reset just because your class isnât the #1 PvP class anymore due to poor balancing you took advantage of.
As a side note, I canât wait for Rodeleros to start stomping in PvP. I donât even play one, but they deserve a bit of time in the spotlight.
Maybe implement circle resets like an inverse leveling?
e.g
If a PD @ lvl280 wants to reset back to class 6. He or she will have to grind back the experience gained from lvl227-280, submit it as a quest. Then the quest will reset his/her character experience to lvl227. They can do a class change again, and grind back to lvl280 without exp card aids/quests (since they already did them).
It is cumulative too, if want to redo circle 4, have to grind backwards back to level 125. Game drops the character to lvl 125, then grind back to original level with the new class changes.
This solves quite a lot of problems highlighted by the people here.
- Gives players the option to redo their character without it being pay to win.
- Players now have to work to get what they want, they get to keep their character names/equipment and stuff. No need to restart.
- Satisfy the other side advocating no change of classes
- Promote the longevity of the game
