IMC, let us repick jobs with TP

PD is gettting nerfed to the ground - 1/3 of original durations and 20 sec increased cd on 2 core skills. The new pd is going to be entirely different than what was described originally.I would reroll but I don’t know if I have the drive to get something to 260 again. Balances are going to happen inevitably, but please give players an option to rebuild in case they feel they got screwed over!!! make it 200 TP per job or something…

I don’t see why not. I mean, we give them more money and we just simply get to change our class. It’s not p2w either for doing that. Well, unless you have no money and can’t change your class. Then I could see why people would complain about that.

This exact reason is why you shouldn’t be able to though.
It’s unforgiving, choose what looks fun and interesting to you, not what’s OP or whatever.
If you really like it and it’s nerfed to being pointless then it will get buffed in time too.

People shouldn’t be able to just surf around whatever FOTM class they want.

While I agree there should be a circle repick, I don’t agree for this reason.

The only time you need a circle reset is when they release new classes, or change the class completely (like move stuff from c1 to c2 for example)

If you pick a class because it is overpowered, I gotta say you have it coming.

yeah why not lets all pick the optimal Class for pve grind and after we get max lvl BAMMM switch to the OP class who is hard to lvl up nice idea.

from what i saw this changes are just for pvp, i think PD in pvp is still fine

Exactly. Being Flavor of the Month is exactly how you get blown up. You pick a theme that you want, you pick a playstyle you enjoy, and you own it.

Hell, Sadhu right now is a one/two trick Pony that isn’t very popular (Someone I partied with earlier called me a face lazer master because they’ve only seen Sadhu only once before). But I enjoy the class, I love having a Stand run around and punching things for me. I actually like the damage and even core concepts of it. For me, even while it’s nerf leads us to obscurity, I will still play it.

Now, I do think resets should be available, maybe as a really rare event reward or something.

Pretty sure it’s easy to find a middle ground where people can still change circles but not let them completely switch from one build from another. Like for example, a single circle reset available for like 200 TP per month.

Now if you want to change all 6 circles in your build like a support Chaplain build into a DPS Diev3 Druid build, goodluck waiting 6 months and spending a whopping 1200 TP for it, when you can simply make another character and get it capped in one month with your ideal circle build for free.

But if you want to change from Plague Doctor to like, Kabbalist, you spend an exorbitant amount on it just to change, and if you find out the Kabbalist isn’t enjoyable at all you just have to toughen up and wait for 1 month to change again and spend another 200 TP.

It’s win win for everyone. Especially when major balance/class changes start popping up every month, or new classes are introduced, while not having to completely start over from scratch or wasting time and effort invested in a character, or having to go through mindless grinding and leveling with the same exact build of your previous one except for the last few ranks.

then they shouldn’t make it op in the first place. it’s like
“hey do you want a million dollars if you run 10km, swim 10km, then do 100 pull ups?”

you do all those things

“oh our mistake, you don’t get the money”

some people play with a competitive mindset… not everyone is just playing to mess around, and when they get screwed over, they feel sad

OP is a relative concept. IMC only has a handful of employees, it’s impossible for them to balance stuff that get played by many thousands of users. Meta and combinations are not always predictable.

But you can easily guess what is going to get nerfed, like the perma-cc-immune plague doctor has, or the lol-block-all-physical-damage priest has. Again, if you only pick a class because of that, you have it coming.

I think it would be pretty lame if they had class reset.

I for myself would never go through the frustration of leveling a tanker. I’d just level a highlander / barbarian then switch for a tanker later.

Then those who wish to do so should realize that the flow of power means those highest on the chart are very subject to change. Sadhu was obscenely strong, it got nerfed after iCBT2. Same with Barb’s damage ratios. Plague Doctor had an extremely strong kit, so of course it was going to get nerfed at some point. It promotes the rest of the classes have less strain and more variety instead of PD being this omnipotent PvP class.

Not that I’m dogging on OP specifically, but since I’ve played MOBAs I get the flow and rage that comes after a rework or a nerfing after something becomes too popular or hard in theory to balance out effectively.

But yeah. Maybe as an event reward or perhaps a redeemable coupon from somewhere (Not too sure TP without time limit added onto it)

Not another one of these. If they end up putting circle resets in for just straight TP im going to be upset.

This needs to be a thing. Too many people are pissed honestly. Have a look at the subforums and tosbase. Plenty of other MMOs do this, and make a killing off of it too.

simply a big no :fork_and_knife:

Yeah, and lots of MMOs let you buy massive amounts of power with money as well. Let’s not just do what other MMOs do.

I’m all against circle resets, and honestly, if I had known what I do now when I made my character, I would have chosen different classes. I made my choice though and I think it is stupid if people are just going to switch to whatever is OP for late-game.

No, it doesn’t. This has already been discussed alot in another thread, we really didnt need another one.

The only suggestion I will support is this one

There are a lot of people that are not pleased with how unforgiving the class system can be so some form of resetting should be done. I think the idea of limiting people of resetting one or two circles per month may be a good idea but have it done for silver for the first couple of times so it’s not limited to paying players.
