IMC gave me WAY too much silver/items - what do I do?

This kind of things just make me wanna quit. Now i know how some people felt when the dpk bug happen. That time i got away with a bunch of items and the compensation IMC gave, so now there should be a lot of players with absurd quantities of silver that will be never taked back. If the OP ask for them to do so and they didn’t imagine how many players will stay in silence (like me in this situation). I know many people will get upset about my way of think on the matter, but it’s just how i feel: not mad because of the bug, but jealous.

From what I understand from others, this non-answer reply I got was exactly the same as the others. However, given that there were still 24 hours or so between sending the ticket and the reply, it’s obviously not an automated message but one that someone sent. And if they have a copy&paste message… there is no reason that it’s just this one and not a second, one-sentence “Thank you for reporting this issue, we are currently bogged down and cannot check right now, but will get to this later”-one. This literally took me like 10 seconds to type.

In fact, the link in the ticket reply leads to the “FAQ” which has things in it like that we are to reach out through tickets if we think something is wrong. I did exactly that, what they asked me to do, and got this reply back. If anything, the link the answer provided basically nailed the fact that I did the right thing and they now gave me green light to spend the silver. I can also claim - rightfully - that I SHOULD have gotten silver and that I don’t know how much I had on the market. Both of these facts are true. I mean, I definitely didn’t have 300mil on there and by now it has been ruled out by what happened to others that my legendary card purchase is involved.

But if anyone asks me… I can always claim I don’t know how much silver I should have gotten, I followed the FAQ instructions when I was unsure by sending a ticket and IMC gave me a “this is as it should be”-answer. Because this is exactly what happened. I did nothing wrong and even though I KNOW I should not have this huge amount of silver, no one can blame anyone who spends theirs after this is the reply everyone with this issue got.

Me too. Honestly, since staff said in the other topic that they hope to be done with most until next maintenance, that’s basically how long I will give them to post more information. If we have nothing with the new patch notes on Monday… I dunno. Not gonna say “I will spend the silver then” because I won’t, but I feel that that’s the point then when we can at least conclude that a lot of people will get to keep a lot of stuff they should not have for good…

Of course, the more time passes without paying attention to our cases and without an official procedure, the more the situation seems tolerated and tolerable, and the more I feel like we are saying ‘have fun’.

As you say Sheba, it would have taken a minute for the support to indicate that they know we must not touch, that they will come as soon as they can. Instead of that useless generic answer … I’m sorry for you that you have them strictly the same as us, a real copy / paste, it’s no surprise but I’m still disappointed.

Me there are beautiful costumes that make me want to market and I remain a man that diantre! With needs! Like the one of being in a beautiful new armor and shining …

To be more serious, we will not wait forever either, hope to have more information before next Tuesday. :frowning:

Bumping this back up… I wanted to wait for the patch notes to see what would happen.

Well, we got a new announcement post, but from what I see there’s nothing written in there about excess silver people should not have. Or is it? Again, I am not a native English speaker and am likely making a lot of mistakes, but I thought I was fluent enough to read English well… and I really struggled with that newspost. Is this is just me being not good enough or was this newspost as badly formatted and in completely butchered English as it felt to me. This whole thing seemed completely unprofessionally made… not that I, at this point, expect much else.

I suppose all I can do for now is wait until tomorrow after the maintenance and see what happens. I kind of suspect that the biggest likelyhood is that nothing will happen. Or maybe that I will get banned for having silver I should not have because that’s the sort of thing I pretty much expect at this point, given how crappy the support is.:roll_eyes: Just in case stuff actually gets resolved, that’s awesome. But yeah, I have my doubts…

From my experiences, the ticket staff isn’t to be trusted when things like that happen because they receive so many tickets they seem to tend to copy/paste the same answer.
For the ticket staff to reply correctly it usually takes several tickets, and although it seems ironic - you don’t want to explain in big details your issue. You need to be very specific and brief, like: “You gave me back way more silver than what I had earned, are you working on fixing it ?”, or “what will you do about it ?” or any main question you have.

If you want a clear answer your best bet is still to tag someone from the staff and see if the issue is advancing or not (or to send them a private message, they’re pretty nice and helpful !).
But if they’re busy and lack manpower, it could take them a couple of weeks, so patience is key here.
I wouldn’t spend anything because even if they’re the ones at fault, you might still end up being punished if you spend it.

But then again, in some previous bugs, some people did abuse and got no punishment (like the DPK bug someone talked about, earlier) so in the end, you decide.

Well u basically did nothing wrong … But the issue is the minority would wait like u and just use it for items / upgrades etc … and i don’t think its ok or leave it at that.and i m pretty sure they cant resolve this.

Simple is good, but I’m sure their ticket system is still really overloaded. I’ll try putting in a ticket as well.

At this point, just keep and spend that silver, don’t think sending more tickets will do anything. What can they do afterwards anyway? Ban you for their incompetence? I don’t think so…

I can dispose of the silver myself but I’m sure that when they realize their derp I’ll log in the next day to some absurd negative number and have my silver bugged for the next 6 months.

spend the silver on npc’s buy craft scroll on the blacksmith the realy expensive ones and sell em back to it over and over, you can fix your own problem also make a video and post it on forum for your own safety, if you are as ¨legal¨as you say you are youll do it
