It is not destroying one method of leveling up for another, but balancing the two. Why can’t we have repeatable quests that envolve killing lots (100 or more) monsters for a great reward? Why can’t we have quests that make the players deliver tons of itens colected from diferent maps? Why we need to follow the same exact path over and over in every character? I just want the two parts of leveling balanced and fun.Right now, the quests have good exp but are 90% dull and boring, even the boss kill ones. And the grinding has so many problems that in the 160+, people prefer creating another char because they missused the exp cards instead of grind level.
People the moment grinding give to much exp you onlly get faster to the end game.problem is there no end game so far.problem of grind at the moment is way to much people.to much play solo and will say no to a party.on top of it there is a bug in the party system.but imc did say they know of this problems.
As foe map events and hiden quests, its in the game .there a post in this forum for this.
“I do not care if you were mindlessly spamming one skill, I was not. And I am sure it was generally not the best thing to do. You should also take in account cast-times and after-cast delays, which led you to being punished”
Stop trying to act like wizard/any class+poem of bragi(magic strings) wasnt a thing and almost mandatory for everything
“Combos like frost diver+jupitel’s thunder, stone curse+fire bolt?”
I meant hidden combos btw, not stuff like linking+electrocute or freezing+electrocute. There are some cool hidden interactions between skills in tos
“Bullshit”
You say bullshit, but its actually true. Defense was mostly useless for woe because guess what? the meta evolved and nobody ran any sinX/LK/WS anymore. Why’d you even need defense?. Cards dont count towards this btw.
Oh yes, those 0.01% drop rates that are needed to be actually relevant at any content. I love how everyone says “you didnt need to be max level to woe”. Well, probably not max level but if you didnt have an evil druid/marc card you’d be 100% useless ^^.
No evil druid and marc = useless? Man, seems like a cookie cutter build to me. And the worst of its kind. Unless you’re a knight sprinting to emp room. But other class wearing those? Suicidal
Lmao. I’ll enjoy telling my clown to do just spam frost joker(unbarring octave) after bragi. Will enjoy seeing half of your guild frozen and easily asura’d. Also sprinting the emp room? what is this? pre trans woe FE? rofl.
This, I totally agree with.
That’s not actually bad in itself, not if people learn to sort between the realistic ones and the not.
P.s. I don’t take it as a solution either, but something more like a vaccine.
It’s a solution if it works. But it will never work except on the fanboy.
Define more people. People who want Sandbox Play? People who want the best gear handed out to them via the cash shop? I fail to see any solution from you either… But I don’t see how this is so bad… Destiny is Linear and Grindy… See how well that’s doing.
I’m saying is that we have no idea where this game is going to be in a years time or even 6 months from now.
I personally wanna actually be able to read the quests because the story seems to be kinda interesting.
What I mean is telling people not to expect so much isn’t a solution.
You are totally out of point.
This
And this, should be enough
ToS is far closer to games like modern Ys and mana series than is to RO and i like that but in those games some bosses where EPIC and lets be honest ToS bosses are just uninteresting superdeformed HP giants…
I agree with the ppl saying classes are great in ToS in my opinion is the strongest point of ToS i also like the gameplay with a joydpad but still needs improvement.
If someone dont belive this game is more similar to Ys or Mana just watch some videos for proof, i believe all that about being the true RO continuation is a mix of nostalgia on players side and marketing on the developers side.
TOS is not RO but when you make something you need an inspiration or basis of what you wanted to make. The fact that developer copied the graphics of RO is more than enough to compare it. But you know why people are whining? not because TOS is not RO2 its because the game is like other generic mmorpg. The story is boring the hand holding is too much. Everyone follow the same path theres no uniqueness except the class system. It makes me feel like im playing a chinese mmorpg where you just accept the quest then click the autopath to proceed to another quest then repeat the same thing again. To be honest I like questing but this is too much and repititive.
It’s still closed beta thats why you’ll see a lot of these. If this criticism hurts your fanboy ego then suck it up until the game is released.
btw IMC said this on their Steam Greenlight
Players do not need to follow the fixed routes
Ironic isnt?
So since they share similar graphics thats more then enough to compare the two games? Like wtf. Thats like saying if a fire truck is red and some guy is wearing a red shirt they have a lot in common lol. Id compare this game to Diablo 2 or Secret of Solstice.
Thats pretty irrelevant. ToS and Ragna have the same Genre they are both MMORPG its natural for people to compare a new game to a successful one. I hope your stupidity can be cure.
And here come the attacks lol. Relax, sorry if I hurt your feelings with my keyboard, but comparing two games because they share similar graphics is stupid.
And you just downgraded this game by comparing it to a single player rpg.
Compared it to two games not just Diablo 2.
This thread is like the titanic atm, what have you done OP
Jesus.
Well, in fact you don’t need.
You just do it because EXP cards are too effective in what they do, and I don’t know if it’s because of this, or lazyness or irony, but everyone does quests. I mean, I’m pretty sure I could hit for full damage monsters from Forest of Prayer when I was lv110, sure they were hitting HARD, but hey, it’s the challenge that is fun, right?
