iDreamy's Guide to Scout C3

Hi, if you read the Stat Distribution. Personally I will go for pure STR. All stat points will go directly to STR. Gears min-maxed for high crit rate.

For budget builds, go for 30 CON. Then 3:1 STR:DEX.

you make it sound like hunter is a better option lol

Thx for answer

Coursing doesn’t work on bosses. Only Snatching.

snatching only work on flyin bosses?
i know its a pve guide, but if i want to do a little casual pvp is hunter good choise?
and sorry but i didnt understand the calculator lol

Yes, snatching only works on any flying enemy including bosses.

Hunter should help you alot on PVP because Rush Dog doesn’t cancel Cloaking’s invisbility and it’s a good way to stun the enemy for 5s at 40% chance. Rush Dog’s damage literally comes from the pet which is why it doesn’t cancel Cloaking.

Coursing will silence and disarm your enemy player.

But Hunter has a fatal flaw. The stupid AI. Sometimes if you cast Coursing on a running enemy, your pet will just keep following for several seconds w/o being able to land the skill until the order will be discarded. Same case sometimes with Rush Dog. Some players also tends to beat up pets while you’re invisible.

sounds really cool!
how many more crits do you hit with archer c2?

That would depend on your current crit rate. The attribute simply adds 25% more on your current critical rate value. For example, I have 200 critical rate when I check on F1. With Swift Step’s attribute, it becomes 200*1.25 = 250 critical rate.

Then in a build with only STR with the calc you linked on lvl 280 is only 65 crit rate. Isnt that too little?

Uhmmm, you forgot the part I mentioned that I will invest on gears that will increase my crit rate. Swift Step will further boost those stacked values from gears.

plate, leather or cloth?

How does arde dagger affect this build during early gameplay?

Nice build btw.

its not enough with the crit provided with Sneak hit?
what do you thin about going hunter and then gearing pure str?

Wouldn’t you’d crit rate fall off as you level up?
As I know, the formula for critical chance is
42 x (crit rate - crit resist) / base lvl
or did I get my formula wrongly?

Hello! Super great guide! I wanted to play rouge and scout but wasnt sure how to sync them together! Thank you!
just one question about the advancement of the classes.
At Rank 5, should I go scout 2? or should i take Rouge1 for the feint>barrage combo?

Thank uou

Ur guide look interesting. Currently im playing archer>ranger c2>wugu c1. Im thinking to go rouge c1 after this for feint+barrage combo. Or should i sacrifice it for scout c3?

Definitely Leather Set for the evasion you’ll get from Boots and Leather Mastery.

If you really want some damage improvement early on, then use Arde. I really don’t recommend it though. IMO, the investment you want to put on Arde is better off spent on attributes.

Thanks~

Sneak Hit is only 70%. Technically you’re still losing potential 15% DPS from 30% crit chance. Not to mention, Lv5 Sneak Hit has a downtime of 10s.

If you’ll aim for hardcore PVE gear setup like me (getting 2x sissel, max petamion, Lv6 crit gems etc.) then pure STR is fine.

If you saw one of the previous reply, Mamark posted a video of a very rich QS C3 with pure STR but still has alot of crit rate from gears.

Thanks and enjoy~

My suggestion is not to take Rogue early because you won’t get Split Arrow at Rank 6 which is extremely good for grinding/farming.

It is possible though to go Rogue C1 at Rank 5 instead especially if you’re going for the hardcore pure STR build like me, Sneak Hit would lessen the pain of not having too much crit rate while you’re still leveling.

I think it’s better to reroll while it’s early. I won’t force you to follow my exact build but what I’m trying to point out is that Ranger C2 is one of the worst choices. Ranger C3 is lacklustre either. Rogue is definitely still a nice addition to any Wugushi builds because Sneak Hit compliments STR builds which Wugushis go for since they cannot do crits on poison. I honestly see no synergy between Scout C3 and your current setup so I don’t recommend, sorry.

Update: Added an alternative path on 1A and 1C section. Also with explanation.

Although this may not be directly related to scout related issues, but maybe I could get some answers from here.

I’m going for A1>R1>A3>RO1>FAL1>CANNON

I have a few questions regarding the capture skill of rogue.

How does it actually work?

  1. Description says : Steals the enemy’s trap and magic circle. You may use it later when you need it. But from what I read you can capture your own skills? So it not necessarily applies to enemies skill? Is that how you capture flare shot for a double flare shot?

  2. If you can capture your own skills, what other skills can you capture? Can you capture stuff like Broom Trap for like a double broom trap?

  3. How does capture even work? It has 180 CD, so once capture is used, what happens after that? Do you use the skill again to use the capture skill? Can you capture multiple skills and release them later or must you use the earlier capture skill before capturing a new one?

  4. What level should capture be?

It has an attribute that lets you capture allies’ spells. This also considers yourself as “ally”.

Stake Stockades, Punji Stake, Boom Trap, Throw Gu Pot, Flare Shot, Lachrymator, Magic Arrow, Circling. These are the only ones I know for Archer, there are numerous possible spells that can be captured from other classes.

As long as you’re a Sapper C2 then yes, you’d be able to do Double Boom Trap.

Already explained on FAQs section.

Currently bugged, it captures unlimited amount at Lv1.

Hello again, i was wondering why a +8 seeker ? does the +44 from it outweights most of the bows ?
thanks !!

Missile damage has penalty against medium and large sized monsters. Upgrading your weapon mitigates this depending on the enhance. This is the main reason it’s actually bad to switch weapons if you were previously using a high enhanced one.

Like for example, using a +8 Seeker then switching to +5 Hawk Bow would barely give any damage increase making the silvers spent wasted.

Thanks for the quick reply
