I predict an announcement of iToS dropping F2P within a week and a half

This is a big part why I havent really commented on this topic. I agree B2P does help against bots, it does not completely remove them like some people are thinking. But they would have to adjust the cash shop. It’s why I thought the idiot who said make it b2p will make it look less greedy was completely wrong.

P2P with a 40-50 dollar fee per month is the solution, B2P It is almost equal to F2P

That’s a bit much, even for Johnny America over here.

There are bots in P2P games, of course there will be on B2P and F2P. Yes some people do get it wrong. Buying a game won’t stop bots, ever.

Even so, I wouldn’t mind making it B2P. At the very least, that way IMC could pay for their anti-bot squad and future game development.

A fee to get in is a much better hoop then free to get in. This has to be paid every time they get a bot banned.

1,394 bots have been banned. Not sure if that is all time, but that $41,820 loss to them in the short amount of time the game has been open. If you add the 1,678 for manipulating the game client that is $92,160. not sure if they are the RMT bots or what though. This is at the $30 per account like you mentioned.

Add in the market fees, token fees and all that other stuff, im surprised they are even here.

Ok, so they milk the game until it dies and moves on? That doesnt sound like

Are you just rewording what I just said?

I like buy to play games, but it’s a risky move for a company such as IMC. People wouldn’t accept tokens or anything like that in a B2P model, which means they have to predict really well how it would survive for years. It’s something IMC can’t afford, in my opinion.

But, as I said I would support it. I suggest subscription based however, so they can better adjust to the player base.

EDIT: An even better solution is a mix, with an intermediary price to buy it and a small subscription. Lower the risks without making it cheap for bots.

Or agreeing with a different use of words?

You are literally as dense as they come. I would recommend you stop embarrassing yourself.

P2P will bring the worst kind of children into the game, rich pampered ones.

You’re assuming all the bots banned paid legitimately, you’re also not factoring their potential customers as we do know they definitely were making sales. Also like you said there’s nothing saying all the bots banned were related to RMT.

The market fees are a minor annoyance to them really, it just means they have to farm extra silver and then tell the customer to list at a price where the taxed item will equal what they purchased.

Oh no, my quote simply is that they don’t care for the game however they’re not going to destroy a money maker for them. A lot of people here are throwing bot scares… “Oh they’ll overload the server!” No, they won’t. They’d lose money and resources that way for sure. They may not care about the game but they do care about their business.

Also assuming you didn’t respond to my B2P issue… I assume you want a model similar to Black Desert…

Oh

CBT goal is to test the server, that also includes bots and hacks. Just because they didnt do about the botters during that time doesnt mean theyre not doing something behind our backs. Seeing how complicated bottings are, it just makes sense after all this time they havent made any progress at all to prevent them accessing the servers, botters can still access iTOS. However what they do is to discourage them or at least minimize the damages they have done or will be done. Thats the system they developed during this 6months or maybe since at the start of TOS? Anyway banning botters or hackers in CBT doesnt makes sense, you would want to see how much stress the server can handles, with bots accumulated data to prepare the future release.

I don’t take insults from people who don’t know what “literally” means very seriously.

Yea because all the best people are in F2P games…

I think if they made it B2P they could reduce it a little, but the $30 initial investment isnt much tbh for what you get(assuming it would be around 30). I’ll be happy as long as they keep the P2W out.

I think they could reduce the tokens to $12 and the costumes to 8$ though. Hair to $10. Newly released stuff can be the current price.

How much is stuff in BDO?

Full costumes were originally like $30+ USD but then the public backlash they reduced it to around $20-25.

That’s all I was tottally aware of. But theyre other things that work on RNG mechanics, like the pets that can get quite pricey if you want the perfect one. Also dyes work I think how originally GW2 dyes worked where its bound to char (not account, but GW2 did change that to benefit the players), but also 1 time use for some RNG color.

Overall that game doesnt look bad with the amount of content/things to do. Some of the cash shop practices look iffy though, but so do most in these games with our awesome “micro” transactions (that weirdly get the tag micro).

I meant it quite literally. I’m sorry you don’t understand the word yourself, though I’m not at all surprised. You clearly have some huge ego for no reason, when it is quite obvious to everyone else that you aren’t exactly intelligent. It’s quite sad, honestly.

I played and plan to play WoW when Legion is out again and I can 100% assure you that P2P and F2P communities are exactly the same crap.

Personally… I feel if they go B2P, tokens have got to go. At that point we’re paying for access to the game… and tokens already arguably are a ridiculous price even for a free-to-play game but… eh.

Costumes that cost from $20+ for the whole thing if not more, pets that cost $10+… Inventory Expansion goes from $8+ … They’ve also got stat resets, etc for like $1-5 BUT… You can only purchase the in-game cash currency in $10, $20, $30, $60 and $100

I’d rather see it stay free-to-play. I remember being a young, poor, college student and being crushed when I saw games being so expensive.
