Hakkapalle Class Synergy Discussion

There are a lot of skills that can’t be used while on mount and Hakkapalle’s skills are locked on mount too.

What classes do you think is good wiith Hakkapalle?

Imo falconeer is a must for hakkapalle. We know that this game is tree of aoe, and hakkapalle skills are aoe ratio based.

Something that has true multihit skills + falconeer 1 for circling (you can use your Falcon skills while mounted now) is an option. (IMO)

Been thinking about Archer 2 ranger 3 falconeer “something” hakkapalle.

QS3 for running shot would be a good choice i think. Quicker to get those arrows stuck in them for the extra damage.

Something like QS3>A2>SR2>hackapelle. Can use most skills while on mount and can swap between crossbow with pistol or sword in offhand.

Their skills are all melee with small hitboxes, though. As a Swordsman I rarely notice Circling allowing me to hit more enemies, because it’s so rare for that many enemies to be stacked up in their small hitbox.

I have been considering Hakkapalle for my Archer3Scout3Falconer, but I think I might roll another Archer and go QS3->???->Hakka as a WBing/PVP build instead. QS3 with Catacombs Blade is maybe the one really strong-looking use for offhand swords.

i can also see that Hakkapalle is a good alternative for SR3 with Retreat shot 10 at ur disposal

I think Fletcher3 is a pretty good build into Hackapell due to how underwhelming mergen is.

Alternative, get a friend to play falconer 3 with you?

Not an attack to you, and I apologize before hand. People please remember, this is an MMO party play is a thing, synergies between classes are scarsely disccused, remember jack of all trades master of none and all that nonsense.

so melee under circling is different than targeted aoe skill? that’s too bad

I wish I know a dedicated falconer3 that would always play with me

Circling only reduces AoE defense, the reason you see Cannon and Musket skills hitting tons of enemies in Circling is because they have large hitboxes. Melee hitboxes are pretty small. If you could theoretically get 20 mobs to all squeeze into the tiny area of a melee attack hitbox, you could still hit all of them under Circling.

Heheh, yeah very few take the falconer 2 route as it’s underwhelming. I took it, but seeing falconer 3 party stuff, I dont regret anything. although I need 25 millions to be the best I can be due to high silver cost of that attribute.

Now @SlyGoat , have you seen that aiming skill falconer 3 will get? the one that enlarges the enemies hitboxes? I’ll finally stop feeling useless.

I wrote Falconer3 off pretty much, but hey, maybe that’ll be the new archer meta since everyone is complaining about their R8 classes - instead of “party LF swordy pelt only” we’ll have “party LF archer falconer3 only”.

And that would be just as sad as it currently is. anyway, I’ve derailed this topic for long enough </3 continue your hakkapelle discussions without just fixing in solo play.

Hard to say because it’s such a niche class and none of the previous ranks have any direct synergy to hakapelle (heavy melee among a primarily range job, and no I am not counting Rogue in this)

QS3, Ranger3, Fletcher3 and Falconer comes to my mind for a hakapelle build. You could make a case for Scout3 too but it’s meh for me.

I’ll just add some drawbacks of just picking one rank in falconer.

  1. You must get another companion, this means you’ll have 2 char slots just for companions in your lodge. This isn’t a problem for many, yet hawk can only be used by falconer.
  2. At this point the only skill you would use is circling, and as falconer 2 it’s pretty much the only skill I use, the other one is hovering vs bosses.
  3. You must always pay attention for if your hawk is summoned or not. otherwise you just blew 35 secs on cooldown. yup circling has 35 secs of cooldown and 10 of duration.

That’s why I’d suggest getting something else, and hope you know a falconer. but of course that’s just my opinion.

It’s almost like when they first conceptualized Hakkapalle, they took a look at the existing classes in the game and saw only one of them fit it thematically, then said “■■■■ it, make all of Rogue’s skills unusable while mounted” just to screw with us.

Imo, they should change the mounting penalty from a lot of skills. They are releasing chivalry classes but we still have a lot of skills that cant be used while mounted and it is hard to make a build like that.

i am curious to know if dragoon2 debuff work for hakkapalle.

that should potentially be one of the biggest burst dmg?

perhaps hakkapalle will be the only archer a group willing to take in for a swordie dps party.

On that note, does anyone know if you can use fletcher skills while mounted?

All fletcher skills may be used on mount.

Fletcher3 Hakkapalle mounted:
Fletcher3 Hakka 145 dungeon:

Hitbox for Hakka skills is very bad though.
