Lol seriously. If you want +50 critical from highlander and utility from peltasta why not take sw- high 3- pelt- doppel 2 ??? Im not a doppel but a fencer. I got one with sw pelt barb 3- fencer(193) and sw pelt high 3 fencer (212).

To be honest highlander is really good late game. Their debuffs works on bosses. Cartar with 25% charge also deals really good damage. Crossguard also works charm on my build (fencer). Idk how good it is to doppel though.

Barbarian however is kinda meh imo. helm+ cleave doesnt work on bosses. Seism is good to nuke mobs with less than 10k hp. Frenzy also needs you to auto attack on 1 mob then if you switch mob then it will reset (it will be halved by the attribute) which leaves pouncing as the only true dps skill left for barbarian which has a long cooldown and 1 overheat.

I get why aki favors highlander but seriously. Go sw- pelt- highlander 3- doppel 2 if you want both of the utility, and damage boost which will actually help you out late game.

Thumbs up to you aki. Thank you for contributing on guts type or warrior type swordsmans. You got all the facts not theories. I’ll try out the warrior path once i cap my fencer first.

barbarian will get a 50% increase slash debuff on mobs, peltasta doesn’t bring anything for a dps build, SB is only for when you use it, change weapons and the buff dissapear, guardian evasion is useless after 250+, swordsman aren’t made to be evasion bases characters, at least not 2 handers.

Im talking about a highlander 3 doppel here. So hypothetically if I add barbarian 1 as my filler in rank 5 how will it actually help? unless they will make chopper+ cleave combo works on bosses then my perspective with barbarian will change.

In all honesty barbarian has only one useful skill which is pouncing. The other skills are so darn mediocre it makes me cringe. I do hope that slash debuff is gamebreaking though(i wont mention other classes since this is a 2h forum). I’m not expecting major changes in swordsman since I lost faith on this class yet im still playing it lmao.

Im currently playin at ToS INA, sometimes i check here for references.

My build are SW>High3>Barb1>Dopp2. (Lv 239)With 50 con, and the rest DEX. (already got stats reset for future) Current attribute lv on cyclone are 50, skyliner 50, cartar 35, zucken-zornhau-redel at lv 10.
Currently workin on gettin x2 Sissel + MaxPeta to boost my crit rate.

The reason i go for a dex build its because most of player here (ToS INA), which i see its the same problem, doesnt want sw with no pelt in their party, like this thread “encourages” some sw player to take 1 rank in pelt.
That makes me 98% solo all the time. Even i solo grind at Evac just fine.

Like @akisera said, if you wanna go build DPS swordie, especially dopp 2 why bother take pelt 1?

IMO, high3>barb1 is the most suited build for dopp 2, high 3 got skull swing (armor break) which is better than Warcry. Crosscut + Skyliner combo. And for the next, got +50% slash from Cleave (Barb 1), and of couse +50% crit atk (your stats on crit atk). You can see my crit atk are 598 WITH just 12 STR. (Hair acc 1-2-3 = +52CA,+61CA,+63CA)

people that suggesting taking pelt 1 for “TWO HANDER DPS” and CLAIM they are THE BEST DPS BUILD are literally dont have any brain.

atm, cleave gives you +50 crit rate(5s) hidden buff. you can use cleave before cyclone to boost your crit rate.

Huhuhu butthurt you cant get a party huh? tbh I like the sw- h- barb 3- doppel 2. Its proven to be the best dps 2handers but seriously? Sw- highlander 3- barb 1- doppel 2?

Oh my god. Best dps? I cant imagine having barbarian 1 as a filler. helm+ cleave is nice but whats next? Embowel looks op though.

Dont think you understood him.
He took Barb 1 as Ktos Cleave gives +50 Crit rate, and will soon also give +50% slash damage. So Cleave then provides extra damage on some key skills.

butthurt? why should i? i can mostly solo grind. even vs magic type enemies.

@akisera build was barb 3, and yet he recommended to take high 3 path.

best 2ps 2hander?, it isnt related to barb or high, is just picking doppel 2, but barb3 falls off pretty badly late game, the dmg is meaningless, highlander 3 bring you much more dps overall for you and your party (crown,skull swings, cross guard) but the lack of aoe is awfull, in korea highlander 2-3 is a must and bring much more dps or used to bring (skyliner cross cut combo) plus the multi hit skills (moulinet) bring more burst for single target, not even think if they bleed, while barb hit hard only in the begining, seims is crap for the dmg, one end using it for the aoe stun, imo the best barb skills is cleave and can do a ■■■■ load of dmg, the other “good” skills is warcry, frenzy is plain bad it only “shine” when you’re bossing and even in that time you’re doing less dps because you’re auto attacking, as a 2handers i can only say this, we can’t compete against archer or wizards (fletchers and elememe’s) and a swordsman a hoplita-corsair-shinobi can do a lot more we can do at this moment on a single target, what we have is cyclone and is the best aoe dps skill in the swordsman tree bar none.

Well exactly lol. I just really cant imagine. Right now there are too many theorycrafting cancer which is the cause of too many rerolls. We got lots of sw 2- hop 3- doppel- dragoon, sw 2- barb 3- fencer 2, sw 2- barb 2 corsair 2 - shinobi. I still cant imagine this though. Sw- highlander 3- barb- doppel 2 and the title says best 2hander build. Okay noob trap. We got too many noob traps to begin with. Those common builds are cancer. Yet all of it is popular which attracts more noobs waiting to reroll. It’s an endless cycle.

I just wish concentrate will be a sword skill amp skill like how quick cast is a magic skill amp skill. It isnt attractive at all in my eyes. It’s most likely another noob trap to justify how great swordsman 2 is again.

But yeah. Doppel is technically a swordsman. Ive only brought other swordsman cancer archetypes here not other classes.

The cycle will never end. Lmao.

i just said IMO, the most SUITED path to go dopp2.
i never claim that high3>barb>dopp 2 is the best, things will change in future, with increased lv cap and new equips, and some skills update.

Any PvP Doppel here? I was toying with the skill simulator and became quite curious about what to take at ranks 4 and 5. Sw3>x>x/y>Doppel2. Highlander and Barb c1 for +50% crit attack and +50 crit attack and slash debuff? Corsair (Iron Hook) sounds solid in most PvP builds but I’m not sure if it fits this build (buffed Restrain and Helm Chopper should be enough for stun, shouldn’t it?).

Sw3-High1-Cor1-Dopp2 checking in. The build is soild against physical peeps thanks to being able to block and root peeps down with Crossguard in High1. You can then setup Hook for 9 seconds and wreck shop with 2x spin and whatever dps skills you have left. Mobility is an issue, but you’ll bait out a Crossguard. Bash is your best friend for knockdown hooks. Restrain lvl 10 and Pain Barrier lvl 15 is nice to have to help setup combos. Only gripe I have is that you can’t hold Crossguard like you can with C Guard.

What about your stats? I was planning on getting 110 CON, 125 DEX and everything else in STR (should be around 270-275) without items.
