My thoughts on the first informations we got.
Gearing for Crit Rate should be a must have. Considering that Epee Garde seems to work exactly like it does now! I did some rough calculations and we´ll end up with roughly 600 CR, if we gear 100% for it.
Base Crit Rate should be lvl/2 - means we have 165 Base Crit Rate (Factoring in some Crit Rate we got from Collections ~ 175)
Rapier 50, Dagger 26, Full armor 60, 2x Sissel 74, 3 headgears ~30, There´s no amulet, is there?
we end up with ~ 400 Crit Rate.
200 Crit Rate from gems should be doable. IF we get 2 socket daggers and 3 socket rapier. (lvl 7 gems for referance 3x44 + 2x57)
we end up here with 246
So ~650 Crit Rate is doable if u are almost perfectly into Crit Rate.
To give my 2 cents on that. Atm i also have NOW ~650 Crit Rate and with quicken, i crit 100%.
Crit resistant shall be lowerd, so almost 100% crit chance is probably no problem.
For the Sp consumptions. This will be a big problem, im honestly scared for that…we might need to skill some SPR?
Also i believe that High Dex will be very strong. We´ll get a ton of Crit Attack - if Epee Garde works like that, which i beleive it should we´ll get the whole Crit Atk increased with Epee and probably Enhance, should result in higher dmg than Str path. (Well i´ll try it anyways when it hits our server)
But this is my prediction for Fencers:
- Gearing again will be hard (Crit Rate)
- High Dex, maybe some Con, probably SP
- Sp consumption gets rewokred or else it will be tough
Btw. Seeing as the game turns out, my current plan is to go Sw3-Barb2-Fencer3 (mabye Barb1-Corsair1)
Also: looking at the factors we get Flannconade seems like a pretty strong skill. (Cleave and Lunge should probably still buff slash dmg, so we might look at a new Fencer Gameplay spamming Flannconade???)
