Guide to Fencer / Doppel / Bullet Marker [PVE]

If anyone wants access to update the guide document feel free message me.

You should at least be someone with enough fencer experience (both geared/ungeared) would be nice to cover the guide for everyone.

Someone updating it can be helpful when the changes arrive/get implemented.

Hmm those Stat changes will change anything regarding every class. So no point in worrying about any changes yet.

As they stated resets will be given - so we´ll see how things will turn out.
Im kindy hyped cuz they mentioned 2 new rapiers :>

“Besides this, we’re also introducing two new level 315 rapiers (rare, unique), but any changes regarding items will be announced via the patch notes when they’re ready to be implemented.”

Hope there will be a red rapier or black? But this will be “Practo” weapons then? RIP, I just traded my practo haha. Still concerned with the crit chance, ya know Epee Garde… can’t blame other fencers for thinking too much in advance. If composee will be fast via DEX that’ll be cool lol, a good fencer strikes either fast or hard or both. I just started to calm down, luckily I haven’t spent much time with my fencer lately (less emotional attachment).

Does this update means green gems are once again a thing for fencers? :confused:

I can’t wait to start using my Doppel as a Str build soon, someone mentioned that their damage calculation using log will be computationally exhausting on the game and I hope IMC doesn’t make the same mistakes causing their optimizations to go down the drain.

I think Doppel will still be heavy DEX although my dream was also always to be a high STR and CON mix (high health so taking some damage is fine under Deed’s), but we might need DEX still if the attack speed affects how many hits Cyclone does or how fast skills perform. Not sure. Deed’s description mentions it increases attack speed too, so not sure.

Doesn’t Deeds now not scale with STR? That’s what I read. That it only scales with weapons minimum attack due to a bug / intentional nerf?

If you have doppel you can easily calculate. DoV based on min patk which comes from weapon, hair acc, str, base level and anything related. Main hand red gem give 0 min atk so it give nothing to DoV.

Yes I’m aware but some said on iTOS there’s a bug / nerf that makes it only scale with weapon. Not sure if this is true at all.

i think that this will be a buff for fencers, since u can get 200 critical rate or more from green gems + sissel bracelet, and will be others items that give some critical rate, + they say that u will get crticial rate lvling up i think 600 critical rate fencer will drop to 400 maybe? 300-400 but now there is not more critical resist, should be a good critical rate if u are full DEX, u got critical attack and other good stuff, +50 str. there are a lot of stuff that we should try, and IMC give us reset for all stuff. will be a good day for fencer.

Too early to tell, for all we know they might integrate Crit Rate into the classes that actually have a use for them. They might even introduce some kind of rank bonus for it just like they did for Def/M.Def. Or it might turn out to be fully item dependent like how they want [Leather] to be the DPS set.

This is my speculation only.

do you prefer nyx knight armor or grynas/superior royal guard

nyx armor look better with mdef

pants look fancy with extra stat compare to 220 raw def stat

superior kovos look like the best one with huge mdef with -pdef trade off

but should i just use nyx boots and glove since it give good pdef and aoe atk

will full nyx set have same def as 220set +superior kovos

Lmaoo the sp consumptions are quite ridiculous.

My thoughts on the first informations we got.

Gearing for Crit Rate should be a must have. Considering that Epee Garde seems to work exactly like it does now! I did some rough calculations and we´ll end up with roughly 600 CR, if we gear 100% for it.
Base Crit Rate should be lvl/2 - means we have 165 Base Crit Rate (Factoring in some Crit Rate we got from Collections ~ 175)
Rapier 50, Dagger 26, Full armor 60, 2x Sissel 74, 3 headgears ~30, There´s no amulet, is there?
we end up with ~ 400 Crit Rate.
200 Crit Rate from gems should be doable. IF we get 2 socket daggers and 3 socket rapier. (lvl 7 gems for referance 3x44 + 2x57)
we end up here with 246

So ~650 Crit Rate is doable if u are almost perfectly into Crit Rate.
To give my 2 cents on that. Atm i also have NOW ~650 Crit Rate and with quicken, i crit 100%.

Crit resistant shall be lowerd, so almost 100% crit chance is probably no problem.

For the Sp consumptions. This will be a big problem, im honestly scared for that…we might need to skill some SPR?

Also i believe that High Dex will be very strong. We´ll get a ton of Crit Attack - if Epee Garde works like that, which i beleive it should we´ll get the whole Crit Atk increased with Epee and probably Enhance, should result in higher dmg than Str path. (Well i´ll try it anyways when it hits our server)

But this is my prediction for Fencers:

  • Gearing again will be hard (Crit Rate)
  • High Dex, maybe some Con, probably SP
  • Sp consumption gets rewokred or else it will be tough

Btw. Seeing as the game turns out, my current plan is to go Sw3-Barb2-Fencer3 (mabye Barb1-Corsair1)

Also: looking at the factors we get Flannconade seems like a pretty strong skill. (Cleave and Lunge should probably still buff slash dmg, so we might look at a new Fencer Gameplay spamming Flannconade???)

Coq 1 and composee 15 provide less dmg than coq 15 and composee 1 or its only about sp comsumption?
