Durandal worth if you have sw3 to really close out the downtime. The gem +1 second, not really. You’re better of getting a lvl 6-7 yellow gem or red gem for physical defense or hp. Pdef from gems or enchant headgears really amazing for making physical mobs/boss hit you for 1.

Yes, durandal is okay. Though by the time you switch back, you’ll probably lose that 1-2 second again. Also, there’s no point of standing with high duration of PB if you can’t tank the physical mob/boss. PB gem slots in top or bottom. I would rather slot in a lvl 6 yellow gem that gives +60 pdef. The only time I can justify getting that +1 PB gem is if it’s slotted in gloves.
Agree. Especially blue gems. They help a lot. It’s a shame the + magic defense only exists on the boots part. Would have helped against those nasty mage mobs.
Superior korvos or w/e op. magic defense + 2 slots.

it does, but you kinda waste the duration switching, so it’s like +1.
if you are sword 3 the +5sec attribute should be more than enough

And they buffed Sapper 3 again (new broom trap attribute deals 2x damage now). It’s official, Sapper 3 outdps Sapper 2 + Scout (my build), but Scout’s utility is still a must for me.
Anyway, it’s a fun and surprisingly strong class to play. Specially if that Chrono friend of yours remembers to cast lethargy after each pull.
Back to swords, the new Cataphract buff is huge, they give a 150% mod to Rush, like if that thing was not strong enough and scalling decently with just a good 315 spear and some transcendence. I’m not sure why I still play this retarded game.
I can meet 15 random mages, only one will use lethargy… even if it’s written strike damage on their weapon or when they casted everything and fill with autoattack.
They nerfed the lethargy + rod’s autoattack, it doesn’t work anymore because the hit is actually magic besides the weapon itself being strike type. I think it only hits strike when equipped by swordsman or a cleric (melee swing)
and yes, random mages rarely uses lethargyy, you have to ask and sometimes the guy didn’t even skilled the skill, but since this one is his friend and they will play together, they will eventually combo their skills properly I guess
I already feel sad when safety zone is not enlarged or daino not upgraded so people think it was a scroll and erased with another scroll lol.
Ok, so i have recently switched to pure dex build and understand that i have to reach crit cap of 600 without gem enhancements right? Would that include the use of ellaganos as well? Which cards should i go for?
Also is it better to go 4 set plate or keep the boots leather for evasion? Thanks

Is there a crit cap? I believe 600 is a number to crit often agaisnt most mobs but not a “cap”.
To be fair, rush buff caught me off guard as well. Cata might just do well in PvE as well with this change.

Ro comparison wise,ToS Fencers are like crit Assassins on ro’s early heyday that needs a [triplecritical] Jur and hefty luck investment.
10-15% crit difference here is the make or break in overall performance.
Bad thing is our crit here in ToS isn’t absolute value, which make all physical crit builds have no choice but to keep pumping dex and crit gear to combat the ever raising enemy crit resist each big update.
While Catas can be amusingly compared to a fast moving meaty Mage imo, their end game varies from the almost no brainer nuke Wiz(Dragoon) to the tricky tactical Sage(Lancer)
I’m sure that recent kToS buff will be warmly welcomed by the Catas and hated by the PVP general.
Also rapiers still break faster than any weapon.
